  1. No that was before my time! I'm only 56 I just HATED those two games more than words can say. I've seen a LOT of shit in the last 50+ years - more so since Milne took charge - but the way McInnes's teams capitulated not just once but twice in half a week would still be giving me nightmares if it actually mattered, which it doesn't any more because winning isn't in the plan. The fact it was against them, with their disgusting support means that it will always be a horror show in my mind.
  2. This sounds like victimhood, the same kind that the Old Firm roll out incessantly over every single year this century and before. I do not agree that the ref had a "massive influence on the result". It was McInnes and Tansey that cost us. They deserved to win. We were fucking shite that night. And it appears that we agree about how fucking shite we were at Pittodrie and yes, whilst it was quite obviously a worse performance than 3/4 days earlier, it was still two unforgivable consecutive back to back gutless displays against our closest challengers, the type of which can cost a team its whole season... although we of course won the coveted Second place trophy so everything's all right then. I'm allowed an opinion? Thank you very much. By jumping in with stuff like "bullshit, not even close", you're not attempting to present an opinion nor were you trying to tackle what you didn't like about mine. You now elaborate with it woz the ref's fault, something I vehemently dispute and now that you present two other shambolic consecutive performances (and I called the Motherwell capitulation the day before it happened), it appears that like so many Aberdeen supporters, you may be in denial about the principal problem at our club - at least on the "football side of the business" - the boy Orion nailing the real issue affecting our fortunes, being Milne. When I resurrect a thread that had been dormant for over a month and a half to express an opinion that I expected most to find unpalatable, I would have thought it might have been something to discuss, not to dispute without qualification. When McInnes goes, we're going to be in further shit because of the shit he's caused us and is causing us. You might disagree with that but picking up on those two abject performances to counter with other fucking shite performances under McInnes seems to be NOT wanting to discuss anything.
  3. You blame the ref for Ibrox? I look closer to home. You (and Bobby) have added three further fixtures which were embarrassingly incompetent. Yet I'm not allowed the opinion that I can't remember two worse back to back games? It was the reasons for those particularly shocking performances that is where the real meat is to be found and the ref at Ibrox is a lame excuse, one which a truth-denier might engage. Pittodrie 4 days later was unbelievable, like they didn't want to win, just a fucking piss weak display.
  4. There's a key word getting missed here. Yes we've had very many horrific performances over very many years but I can't remember 2 x CONSECUTIVELY abject performances ever. Strange that. That we would produce our two worst back-to-back games against the team that did not finish 2nd despite the gift of six points to our closest challengers. Just a bad half week at the office? Just a coincidence? All started by that spastic Tansey's idiotic challenge at the Broomloan end.
  5. Yes you're right. They weren't as bad as I remembered. They had nothing to do with the manager and his will he/won't he situation. The fact he was considering it - for more than a couple of days - had nothing to do with the performance that wasn't as fucking horrific as you say. We deserved to get something out of those games, against such a shit football team that they couldn't even finish above us, despite helping themselves to a 12 point swing in two horrible days within half a week.
  6. When McInnes goes - and it's obviously when, not if - there will be more shit hitting the fan. The timescale of when he departs is unknown but whenever it is, consider what AFC will be left with? He garners loyalty from this squad, unsurprisingly as he recruited the vast majority. They like him. Remember the 2 x defeats v. Rangers when all the pundits reckoned he was offski? The poor little lambs were lost and produced the worst two consecutive performances in AFC history. If he was to go this season, we would be left in a worse place, certainly in the short term and until the new manager got rid of all the McInnes duds. The youth might get a chance and they'll be hungry to prove the exited manager was wrong but without experienced men holding it together, the journeymen footballers will go backwards from their already not good enough standards. The manager is a loser and he's filled his squad with losers. They're mostly wage thief's, not winners. It's going to be a poor poor season as it is, with zero attacking threats and a gross squad imbalance. It will take more than half a season and many millions to fix it and until McInnes gets binned/walks, it's only going to get worse.
  7. No broken legs and no fatalities yet half way through the first half of the first OF game. Disappointing.
  8. Haha Lencarl. First impressions go a long way to "securing the deal" and what we wear (and how we speak) does go some way in creating the first impression, either positively or negatively. But after 4 or 5 seasons, there are no first impressions any more. We are way past style now and however McInnes dresses doesn't help or hinder his management substance.
  9. I don't remember folk objecting to Calderclown by reason of his accent. How he spoke was just who he was, a bullshitting namedropping thick fat incompetent cunt who's whole presence was objectionable to any reasonable man. My point was more about how people tend to believe suits and ties and give credibility to anyone who speaks "proper". The BBC are a disgrace of an organisation who peddle lies and have a huge influence on many. Their formula of a continuous succession of public school voices dressed in suits and ties is part of the strategy to suck in the stupid. The discerning viewer listens to what is being peddled and knows that substance is much more important than style.
  10. I don't know enough about their histories to agree or disagree but it wouldn't surprise me if you're right. I suspect Stevie May is fucked. How can a player who was so good earlier this decade be so ineffective now? We know he suffered a serious injury in England. I would have expected McInnes to be able to unlock this question. After all, he was his manager back then and after TWO WHOLE YEARS he keeps on picking May and it's clearly not working. Can't he not see what's wrong? There aren't too many options. He's either become lazy in training (attitude, work ethic and mindset) or he's physically not able, almost like a bird with a broken wing. Whatever the reason for May's massive regression - he should be in his prime just now - it's either stubbornness on one hand to keep on picking him in the hope that he comes good or it is incompetence on the other, allowing a talent to go backwards or not being able to see that there's a big problem with him.
  11. Never liked Salmond. Slippery cunt wi a slack jaw. His wife is so hideously ugly, it was inevitable he would be looking for extras. But fucked if I can think of ony cunt being so sad they would consent to him. Don't care if it's true or not but it would be more than tragic if it was orchestrated by Westminster. Then I would care. For all his many faults - trying to fuck over The Donald being his biggest error - the man was right on the biggest issues.
  12. This is the most tragic post ever. Let me explain to you why. Before you react in a predictable fashion, stop and think here. I'm not investing my time and my money just to take the piss out of you. I'm doing this to try and help you. Whether you are growth-mindset enough to recognise this is beyond me. In fact, I can't be fucking arsed going any further. It's fucking tragic how you cunts equate suits and ties (and posh accents) to credibility. Just fuck off and die. You are why Scotland isn't independent and why Aberdeen voted Tory.
  13. Yes just seen that on the Sky App. The bet365 stats must've been wrong.
  14. Zero shots on or off target from AFC in the first half!
  15. I just tuned into Leicester Liverpool after 50 minutes. George Galloway just tweeted this apparently - James Maddison, what a find. He's been superb the 20 minutes I've been watching. So exciting, so intelligent, so good.
  16. Arsenal, Sporting, Qarabag, FC Vorskla Chelsea, PAOK, BATE Borisov, Vidi FC Celtic, Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig, Rosenborg Scum, Villarreal, Rapid Vienna, Spartak Moscow
  17. I don't thing we have any material differences in our points of view Rico and sorry that I never knew you were in a prolonged debate/argument with another. I was misinterpreting your posts as being overly optimistic and divorced from reality. In the alternate universe that I inhabit - as it's certainly not the same one that Milne and McInnes exist in - I value keeping it simple. The simple truth is that McInnes is not a good enough manager to challenge for the title and I would like, at least once more in my lifetime, whether successful or otherwise for AFC to try and win the league.
  18. Anyone else noticed a disturbing new trend? I wouldn't blame you if you hadn't encountered it but there's a couple of really uppity Hun cunts in a couple of pubs I frequent. Now that they're winning and Stevie G is the new messiah apparently, they've taken to history revisionism. Specifically they are in denial that their first love died and that this is a new company. I responded to one of the wiseguys slapping down a blank paper pad (he had been writing down the CL draw as it was happening) and saying "this is Aberdeen's European fixtures" by saying that this represented the total number of trophies won by Rangers or The Rangers or whatever the fuck it's called now. Jeez the two huns were touchy as fuck. They were quoting Lord Bannatyne or some such prick, like any judge in the land would make a pronouncement on a matter of fact. When a company is dissolved, it ceases to exist. I was reminded of the dead parrot sketch. Yesterday they were arguing that the holding company never went bust and some balloon last week was arguing that Celtic went bust during Fergus McCann's era. They are very sick bastards and whilst no one likes them, they do care. Arseholes to a man.
  19. But why? What is the point of pulling wool over the eyes? Like Shinnie + x > better than y + z, what are you doing? We're heading for a major slump. Not only can you not see this, you argue against it EVERY TIME. We will end up in May exactly how you asked us to be. Optimistic spasticism that would've made Ian Dury proud. Block head.
  20. Great signing. Excellent footballer.
  21. Burnley were beatable. We just weren't fucking good enough.
  22. Devlin and Ferguson are good footballers. They can be excellent in a great team. Unfortunately the majority of his signings are utter shite.
  23. I don't think anyone is disputing that Shinnie in midfield is the best deployment of current personnel so it's not the "central question" at all. The key point is that he shouldn't be in there. That he is is because of terrible recruitment by the manager who has been unable to get good midfield players. The biggest problem with the balance of squad is an inept attacking threat. Rooney's departure has highlighted this further but with McGinn going backwards and Hayes gone, there's nothing to provide service and nothing to receive it. Not only are the holes now gaping, it's really getting to Shinnie. I know you didn't see the game at Easter Road but he had a shocker and it was mainly down to frustration. His temperament has always been to try his hardest but his performances are getting alarmingly worse and the last thing McInnes can afford is our only option in the middle of the park (for delivering consistently good performances) regressing like so many others have done under him.
  24. You admit that his best position is LB. Not that you can not, as this is screamingly obvious. Since when does a team succeed playing footballers not in their strongest positions? You're right that he's the only one in the middle with heart, with guts, with determination. That he stands out for these qualities - essential for any winning formula - illustrates that the others don't have them. McInnes has failed to recruit a competent midfielder of requisite winner mentality. Or he has failed to instil the right mentality - which includes attitude and work ethic - to any midfielder needing help and encouragement to develop one. Unsurprisingly as the manager doesn't have one himself as he admitted, him saying he would've taken a point before the game at Easter Road. Whatever your argument is Rico, please don't ignore or mitigate the bigger issue. The extent of the manager's fuck ups is now adversely affecting Shinnie. That's the crime.
