Unfortunately I think he will do well. Even though he has zero management experience and will be learning on the job, he's a winner. Plus the pool he's learning in is a very weak one. Souness had zero management experience when he joined the long-dead incarnation that hail from that locale but I think the bad karma of the current balance sheet and the corrupt tink nature of the present custodians will help our cause. Not that the previous incumbents were less corrupt and tink-like. That legless Murray cunt was an opportunist arsehole.

Wasting money is a crime, particularly when perpetrated by arseholes who are wasting other people's cash. The other people are us, normal fans who invest in the game. The arseholes are persons of a mentality that they want to work for quangos and similar public sectory type organisations. These cunts should have their spending audited by business people. Then again, whilst the waste generated by the SFA is probably due to simple incompetence, the business auditors would create waste by reasons of corruption. It's a dimemma I tell thee. Caught between the charlatan and the deep red sea.

Not getting excited about it at all and will be in a minority expecting fuck all. Hope to get a bounce of excitement and optimism at some point during the game but not expecting to. First visit to RDS for a couple of years so will at least be interesting watching from a different angle.

Actually, I think your literal words were bang on. Scotland has a totally fucked up sinister side. The "darkness" has been captured in literature, probably best by Edgar A P and Irvine W. Our neds are lower than imagination could conjure. The sectarian shite in Glasgow defies rationality. Edinburgh's sycophancy to the crown is stomach-churning. Fife does ignorance beyond belief and parochialism even worse than the NE. We are indeed the sickest man in Europe, statistically proven. But by fuck we produce some genius and for that alone, I'm happy to live here. For now.

Are ye wise? You said "everyone" said Ipswich would beat us. If you were here in 81, you wouldn't have misrepresented the truth. So fuck off ye knob. -

I'm amazed that anyone can see the possibility of getting past Burnley let alone anything else. -
Don't think I've seen that particular article but I knew most of the stories in it and the history of the man. Hank Haney's book was a big mistake but where everyone thought Tiger was finished (including me), he proved yesterday that he's not with some remarkable course-management, coming from strategy and experience that money can't buy. Having said that, it was interesting and perhaps foreboding that when he hit the front, he hit his worst shots of the week at 11 and 12 to not stay there very long, including failing to birdie 14. Perhaps the golfing gods have already decided not to give him any further reward and given how he abused himself and disrespected the sanctity of the game, it wouldn't be a surprise. But his talent is very special and it wouldn't surprise me if he won another major or more than one.

Scotland is fucked up in very many ways but let's not forget the natural laws of yin and yang. Given its size, the proportion of good and great Scotland has delivered over the centuries is outstanding.

Your line of questioning is all wrong. Once you gain sufficient experience in life, you will come to understand why.

In the world of golf, I'm a huge fan of Tiger Woods. Now, not necessarily before. Well, I always rated his game obviously and the record books don't lie but this time round, it proves how mentally strong he is and how much we missed him. His swing is as majestic as ever and when he's putting, he's displaying the most beautiful example of two hands working as one unit. Good luck to him at Carnoustie. I'll be watching Sam Locke this week but on Saturday, getting buckled in corporate with the wife. Tiger is the golfing phenomenon above all others in my book. Would love a bevvy with the cunt.

Given that a jury is likely to be a cross section, you will be right. Every cross section contains the yesses, the no's and the not sures. On this programme, the yes camp are the more observant and open-minded, the no's are offended by reason they didn't understand and the not sures (like you) don't have the balls to have an opinion one way or the other. It was a fucking genius production, once again from him.

I don't agree that he was "ok" at any time. He's like Tansey and Greg Stewart, he's far from ok. A good manager understands the critical importance of the midfield. Without men in the middle, good footballers who are hungry, who work hard, with competent technical skills that they can tackle, read the game, break up the opposition, keep control of the ball and distribute it effectively, a team has no engine. Souness's criticism of England was spot on. He described the balance of the team as all wrong for one reason and one reason only; Delle Ali and Lindgard weren't good enough, being players rather then breakers (my terminology, not his). Souness argued that there wasn't enough bite and strength in the middle of the park and I thought it was interesting that Southgate dropped both against Belgium. Where Southgate may well be a total pussy politician who bowed to the external opinion of a footballer who was far superior than he was (or it could've been a remarkable coincidence), McInnes doesn't even understand the conversation. But even this tactical deficiency isn't McInnes's greatest crime, fatal as it is. Where Southgate surprised a lot of us by galvanising, motivating and inspiring a bunch of average (at that level) footballers to perform at their best, the recruits that McInnes takes in consistently perform well below their capabilities, which weren't even good enough to start with. Another fruitless season awaits.

Surely they've invented the inking of computer images onto skin? If not, there's an angle for someone. No charge for my inspiration. Buy me a pint when you're loaded.

I'm guessing that's dos as in dosser. The word for cunt in Seth Efrikan is doos... so I'm told.

Was just going to post that... 10 pm for the first instalment

Utterly stunning. Great find.

Correct. I missed the first half hour as a work meeting overran so heard it on the radio as I was driving home. It sounded like a cracking start. I got back in time to see the VAR pen and it was no surprise to me that he gave it. I thought it was the correct decision. I was shocked at how anti-France the BBC were at HT, Shearer in particular, Klinnsman just being there for lapdog effect, agreeing with everyone. It was bitter jealousy from the English. I think the picture of Jim Bowen with the caption "Look what you could've won" whilst holding the World Cup has mortally wounded them to such an extent they're not thinking straight.

Conte sacked by Chelsea. One year too late in my opinion. Not that I like the club and their rotten, disgusting owner but I really don't like him. Egomaniacal arse.

It is a huge sense of relief that they're out. Interesting rhetoric from manager and captain post match. They never expected to get that far. And had they met anyone half decent along the way, they wouldn't have.
