  1. I was impressed, particularly with Aluko and Hartley. Aberdeen seemed to actually have a midfield yesterday.
  2. I like that idea, like a 'finals period'. It is probably less fair as any team going through a strong patch at the end of the season could win the whole league, but I think it would generate excitement and would be the only thing likely to allow a team outside the OF from winning the league. I quite like what they do in the AFL at the end of the season. Top eight teams all go to finals, top four have a 'double chance' to reward them for being good during the season and the top two get guaranteed home games. Attendance at the Grand Final in the AFL is year on year one of the highest sporting attendances in the world. Whilst the SPL wouldn't generate that much excitement I think it would help, and crowds for the last few games would probably be good and it would be exciting to support a team trying to get into the top four play-offs, instead of just Europa League qualification. Unlikely to ever happen but personally I like the idea.
  3. Changed my mind, ended up renewing.
  4. If Aberdeen somehow manage to make it to the final would the SPL fixture get moved for the Aberdeenshire cup?
  5. I like Mackie, I think he's better than average in the Aberdeen team, if I could make it I'd go to his testimonial.
  6. Went for Pawlett, although he's been out for much of the season I thought he wasn't only the best young player for Aberdeen when he played but one of the best players full stop.
  7. In/oot: Out Prematch: Hot Air Balloon Match: Curry House Post match: TV Prediction: 0-5
  8. Not a good attendance, or good game. Think the biggest crowd reaction came from Kerr being substituted. Not good by any means, for what It's worth I think Ifil played the Hamilton player onside for their offside goal so could have been four.
  9. I'm fairly sure I read that article a couple of months back but I can't remember where. Charlie Nicholas was well before my time unfortunately.
  10. In or Oot: In Prematch: Bus Up Match: South Stand Postmatch: Bus Down Prediction: 2-1 Aberdeen
  11. Best Game/Result - 3-0 away to Hearts Worst Game/Result - Raith Rovers Player of the season - Foster perhaps Young player of the season - Pawlett Worst/most disappointing performer of the season - Aluko, not worst but certainly most disappointing Highlight of the season - Half time being 2-0 up at Easter Road shortly after having beaten Hearts 3-0 at Tynecastle Low point of the season - Raith scoring at Pittodrie Confidence for next season (on a scale from 1 to 10) - 5

    Friday 3.30pm

Perth for the football, Stirling for football, then probably a few pubs.
  13. In or Oot: In Prematcher: Train Where: Away End Postmatcher: Stirling - Clyde match if I can get back in time Prediction: 3-3
  14. Excellent, they don't do student prices so I was facing having to buy a full priced ticket, glad I'll be able to get in for £10.
  15. Yeah that's the way I was looking at it. Seems unlikely but still possible.
  16. Radio and McGhee said it was but when I sat and looked at it I think it is still possible, though very unlikely. All the games would have to go against us and Aberdeen's goal difference is nine ahead of Falkirk's, so it would mean there would have to be a few goals dropped by Aberdeen/gained by Falkirk, more than just Aberdeen losing each game by a single goal and Falkirk winning each one with a single goal, I think. It seems extremely unlikely, a point would be guaranteed safety.
  17. I think I must have worked this out wrong but how are we safe from relegation? If Falkirk win all of their matches accept the one against St Mirren, And St Mirren win all of their matches accept the one against Kilmarnock, and Kilmarnock win all of their matches accept the one against Falkirk, and Aberdeen lose all of their remaining matches then couldn't Aberdeen still go down on goal difference? I know that's highly unlikely, but it still possible is it not?
  18. I'm not renewing, I've only been to eight home games this season so buying the season ticket hasn't been worth it for me really. Until I move back up to Aberdeen I think I'll leave it.
  19. Well I suppose I have to agree as I am a singe person with no kids and fuck all else to live for. But once I graduate uni and actually do something with my life I hope there are more important things than the football team I support.
  20. Celtic losing 4-0, Rangers losing. Good game. Also, put money on Ross County and Dundee United to win, 18-1, only put a pound on (was all I had left on my online account), hope United can hold on.
  21. Ross County 1-1 Hibs Listening on the radio, sounds all Ross County since the equaliser, sounds like they've come close on a few chances.
  22. St Mirren lost to a nine men Rangers. Nice to see a ref actually give Rangers players red cards though. St Mirren looked slow, very slow.
  23. So this is the worst run of results Aberdeen have had since 1927? And failing a win at St Mirren next Saturday it will be the single worst run of results in Aberdeen's history?

Not going, was planning on it but after St Johnstone I just can't bring myself to make my way up this weekend. Costs too much to see boring, poor quality football that will inevitably end in a loss for Aberdeen.
