  1. No, we probably won't sign anyone, but McGhee will talk endlessly about how he hopes he will.
  2. I'm intrigued, I have to know....
  3. The Hope Springs finale is in less than ten minutes. I'M SO FUCKING EXCITED!!!!!!
  4. That's Jimmys fault as well.

  7. Much to the delight of the whole forum, I've not had any problems.
  8. I'm not too confident about this. First priority obviously is to keep a clean sheet, if they score I think we'll have real problems given that our strikers clearly aren't comfortable in the system they're being asked to play. I'll be more than happy if we can finish this game 0-0 or 1-0. I'm a low expectation havin mutha-fucka!
  9. No-one wants McGhee to fail, absolutely no-one but because he's one of our own he's going to receive harsher criticism than many before him (especially from those of us who view the whole situation as an unnecessary waste of money), that's just how these things are.
  10. I would say that in his time he made two genuinely bad signings - 50k on Byrne and 80-100k on Tommy Wright. Asides from that he tried to fill the squad out with short termers, which is exactly what McGhee is trying to do. Calderwood didn't wreck our youth, it was in a sorry state when he took over and between the management team and our director of football they worked hard to revamp it hence why we have guys like Maguire, Paton and Pawlett coming through and inevitably there will be more next year. Youth systems/academys are not pez machines that just squirt out players as soon as they are up and running, it takes years, look at rangers and the multi million pound set up they have at Murray Park, they have had very little come through since that place came about in comparison to the money spent.
  11. It is, which shows me that there's a definite sense of trepidation regarding his long term future at the club. Whether that comes from him, or from the club doesn't matter, what does matter is that he has a short amount of time to prove his worth.
  12. He has a one year contract. The maths are pretty simple.
  13. I was thinking that myself, mental stuff. Mini's comments are quite rational and well thought out. Here it is in summary: HE DUN STUFF WAT WOZ BAD JMG.
  14. Most ludicrous thread ever - http://www.afc-chat.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=23338
  15. Interestingly enough, heres a quote from McGhee about the team he inherited: FFS JIMMY.
  16. I want every success for any Aberdeen manager, bar none. That's why today has pissed me off so much. The sad thing about today was that the team put in a shift and looked like they wanted the win yet still couldn't get it because McGhee had them passing in circles the whole 90 minutes rather than actually trying to find a direct route to goal.
  17. 1500+ fans in Dundee for a friendly would suggest he IS getting the backing.
  18. McGhee has one season to get it right, he isn't a long term venture.
  19. I didn't boo, but ffs we were awful Mini, absolutely awful.
  20. The first team on that park was perfectly good, the tactics however were utter nonsense. They passed the ball well for the first twenty minutes, but after that they just looked lost and took ten passes to get into a position that should have only taken two or three passes. I think we had about 4 fucking shots on goal. There better be some hard work put in between now and Thursday because that was utterly disappointing and I'm not sure the boos at the end were a joke.
  21. There was no entertainment this time either. We looked fucking awful. Get that 4-3-3 shite to fuck.
  22. I reckon we'll pump them 18-0 That's all I have to say about this.
  23. Who added Charlie Allan to the Sigma squad on their Wiki? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SK_Sigma_Olomouc
