I'm talking about his natural position where he has played for 95% of his career Mrs he Man, not just where he was played last season.

Because Seve has only been a regular in defence this season. His natural position is slap bang in the centre of the park, where he should be breaking up the oppositions play and getting things going for us, which is what Kerr tends to do.

Ah right, sorry, I didn't realise you had only been watching Aberdeen play for a year.

If Seve was to operate at even 60 percent of the ability that we all know he has then he wouldn't get the pelters that come his way every week. I reckon Kerrs the perfect replacement for him. Kerrs got twice the engine that Seve ever had and can actually win the ball in midfield which Seve never seems to do anymore.

I'm just going to clarify again, I am in full support of McGhee, I just don't think he's any sort of long term solution for the club which is why I'm not overly excited about his appointment and why I need convinced otherwise.

Look, I've never rated McGhee (I don't know of many that do to be honest) and that's a big part of why I'm so apprehensive about this. I'll give him support too, there's no question about it, but he'll still need to convince me he's the man for the job in the same way that Jimmy did.

How is that "Chucking the toys out of the pram"? He's signed a two year contract, he doesn't have time to fuck around so he better be making some sort of progress very fucking quickly. I'm extremely wary about ex-players being managers and especially when its someone like McGhee who doesn't seem to be able to cope with more than 3 years in the one place. Long term plans aren't his cup of tea. As far as Calderwood goes, if McGhee does any better I'll be surprised, I don't see that McGhee is a better manager than Jimmy.

Calderwood got exactly the same level of apprehension from me when he arrived. I'll see how we're doing come Christmas. I'm not going to ott about this signing purely because (a) He's an ex Gothenburg legend and (b) He isn't Calderwood.

Sorry but he needs to win me over, I couldn't care less about his history with the club and those comments about wanting the Celtic job whether realistic or not were ill placed. He better pray he gets a good start to the season. And if he signs that fucking lump Hughes, well....
