I was replying to a comment which suggested that i gave calderwood a hard time for winning games 4-0 i said i didnt recall much occasion before this season where we were winning four nil (which i dont) thats all - nothing more - nothing less.

When you are having to relay on 17 and 18 year olds then you are pissing against the wind. When our squad is fully fit - we look the business, when we have a few injurys we cant cope - simples

I dont know you would have to ask Foster himself - when i was going to the reserves every week he was playing on the wing or up front, same when he came into the first team, we were short one week and calderwood played him at left back (much to everyones disbelief, then again it was him or richie byrne so we let him off) he had a really good season at left back - then a really bad season when we realised - oh shit this guy cant defend for toffee. He might play at full back but - then again darren mackie played as a striker for 10 years and we all know where that got us.

I dont see any other choices for him, hes here on a good wage and no cunt wants to sign him, we cant afford to replace him and there is nobody in the youths playing well on the left. Another player we should be getting rid of but cant!

He could have stayed down there and rotted in the reserves (dont think he was playing much, and he would never have been selected for nigeria had he chosen to do that) or come up here pretty much garuanteed a first team place and get himself regular games on tv (the games he generally plays well in) Im not sure if you could call it a successful loan spell, i dont think anyone was heart broken to see him leave. Dont beleive his attitude was right for the club. Im only going by what i was told and what i have seen. I think on his day or when he bothers to turn up he is a very talented player - unfortunately we cant play on tv every week

If he goes out and plays with nobody up front then i could see why. But if you pick the strongest team available to you and you are getting beat by that amount questions need to be asked if our squad is big enough to compete over a 40 odd game season - which has been painfully obvious that is not.

Howard is more than competitant - espeshially given the restrictions Mcghee is being asked to work under. Howard should be our number one keeper - Im sure we will be able to find a much better keeper using langfields wages in the next window I dont know how you can talk round a player who doesnt want to be at the club, i dont think any manager in the world could - well apart from fergie but even then more often then not said player is just punted, Aluko should never have been signed by the club in the first place, any idiot could see his heart isnt in it - ever.

Im not saying hes a fantastic keeper, but he did fit the bill when we signed him, Not sure what else we could have got for the fee and the wages we are having to offer, hopefully that will change once we get our "High earners" off the gravy train.

I would agree with that, but i go back to what i said about havin a better defence, if you trust your center half to clear their lines then he wouldnt have to come out as often Langfield Played 7 - Won 1, Drawn 1, Lost 5 Conceded 20 and no clean sheets Howard Played 10 Won 5 Drawn 0 Lost 5 Conceded 12 and 3 clean sheets. I know who i'd want in my goals on saturday
