Correct me if im wrong but did he not try to get the funds together for basey but coulnt so ended up getting the other guy in with his club paying the wages. Dont see what could have been done differantly!
-
Doesnt seem to have done Ricky Foster any harm! Think people are just moaning for the sake of moaning at Mcghee now. Velicka is a goal scorer - proven goal scorer, he needs games to get him fit so thats what he's getting! Dont see the problem!

McGhee challenges Maguire to turn on his Scotland form

Thats a bit harsh! Mackie does a decent job for us! -
I wouldnt know that information as it was never released by the club More money to waste ya mean? Freaky thats what i had too
-
My Point was that money was wasted, and a lot of it at that Byrne, Lovell, Mulgrew and Wright brought in for almost half a million
-
Same could be said for Paterson and Mcghee! Whats your point?
-
Lets not talk rubbish! Who were our natural wing backs under calderwood Mulgrew? Possible the worst defender we have had and striker / midfielder ricky forster? We have plenty cover in midfield we have 7 midfielders plus Mackie and Maguire You wouldnt? Were you at the game? He was playing right back pre-season and the twice i seen him for the reserves he had been playing right back there too! He had a pretty solid game at right back on Saturday.

Actually if you do a search for on my posts i backed steve paterson, think from a financial point of view what he done was nothing short of a miracle - if you looked at the financial figures from his time at the club (which was obviously in no short part down to Keith Wyness's outstanding work). Also thought that Paterson had a raw deal and was very vocal about that During Calderwoods tenure! The football was pish poor but financial the club got back on its feet and if it wasnt for that period i doubt that the club would have survived. I would argue on that front Ebbe had an abundance of talent coming through at the time, Anderson was away to hit his prime, Esson was a decent keeper - Mcguire a decent defender - Mcnaughton was pure class the young brothers were away to hit their peak, chris clark looked like a player - Add Mackies introduction to that and i dont think Skovdahl was that hard done by. We will never know what standard of youth was coming through as we never seen it under JC - What we have seen since is very encouraging and i think that if we keep the current squad and add a bit of defensive width there is nothing coming over us. They Guy he brought in is billed as a left back - and looks like a very handy player once he settles in. Jack did a very good Job at right back and once he gets a few games under his belt i have no doubts he will be a very good player for us. Fyvie and Pawlett are a big miss for us in the middle and we SHOULD be able to cope without them but it doesnt look like we are. Out of Mcghee's signings that he was allowed to make i think we have added some class players to the fold. Folly looks like a great addition, as too does Mcardle, Vernon has a good Record although im still not sure about him and Magennis has looked good any time i have seen him. Hartley speaks for himself gives us something we have had on the pitch that we havnt really seen since stevie tosh someones whos going to lead us on the park! Howard is a good back up and thats all he was ever meant to be, Vuja looks like a very good player and that just leaves Velicka who on paper looks like he will score goals - we all knew about his injury problems but i think it was a gamble worth taking. All of that for no fee's paid - cant really say he has done a bad job now can you?

Not just one decent cross though is it? He does a really good job on the wings for us, even going back to Ebbe's time mackie has always put a decent ball in the box. Didnt deserve to be dropped for saturday after his last two performances. -

Totally agree - although if you look at uniteds team a large amount of the first team squad are youngsters they took a risk on, something we neglected to do for a good amount of years. Neither! I wasnt complaining - i was saying it was good bit of football Thats not what i was saying at all.........But if Mackie a player of very very very limited abilty can adapt and do a job on the wing, surely Maguire can also? -
Whats the point of giving him to the transfer window if he isnt going to be backed financially? Would rather if he was to be sacked for the new manager to come in now and have a chance to figure out who stays and who go's before the start of the window. For the record i think Mcghee has got a pretty raw deal as far as spending money goes - Considering how much money Ebbe / JC spunked away

Wouldnt have scored had Darren Mackie (striker) not put in a outstanding pass from the left wing for him to score..............Something along the lines of which i expect maguire to do when asked to play the same role. Unless you are trying to tell me that Mackie has more ability than maguire? -

I wouldnt be comfortable with it, and i would wonder what the fuck is going on, but i would expect the player to do his best and do his best for the team. Until such time as he is good enough to play as a striker then he should stop acting like a jumped up wee tart and go about his job. -

Doesnt matter how many of those games are starts if you have time to get yourself booked you have time to get yourself on the score sheet. Im Shocked that he started with a clearly unfit Velicka, Not sure what Magennis has done wrong but for me an ideal canditate to start and try and to rough up the hearts defence. Mackie would also have done a better job. Maguires attitude is appauling until he gets that sorted than i dont think hes going to make it here. I was one of the ones campaigning for him to get a regular game under calderwood - Doesnt matter where you play if you get picked to start a game - you do your fucking best and knock your pan in until the final whistle - i have yet to see magurie do this in an aberdeen shirt. At a time when we need our "best" players to stand up and be counted they were nowhere to be seen on saturday. Like i said in my original post - maguire wasnt the worst - but his attitude was, for the whole time he was on the pitch there was an arrogance about his play and his reaction when mackie went on upfront said it all about him, selfish and self centered, and didnt take part until he was hooked. -

Only facts you have to worry about are the ones that matter 124 games 16 bookings 13 goals -

is that not what i said in my original post? You mis-spelt whinger. Temper tantrum when mackie went on up-front - toys out of the pram and didnt contribute anything for the rest of the match even after he was put up top. Appauling attitude that cannot be defended nor ignored maybes we should just let him shoot from the half way line all the time? Or maybes he could adjust his attitude, apply himself and start putting some real fucking effort in and EARN what he wants. Just now he has given Mcghee absolutely no reason to play him upfront. -
Would that be the one who manged to get booked but didnt score again? =)

lol i was getting round to that before i got rudely interupted by you. I would rather be a joke poster than a nothing poster -
Or both =) On paper looking at his record.........good signing but clearly not fit today and think magennis would have offered a lot more against a rather soft looking defence

pish awful bit of business............unless he is of course not fit............then he shouldnt be on the fucking pitch

attitude appauling agian, walked on the pitch with a ronaldo attitude..........im the best in the world im the best player in the team hands on hips shaking head asked to play a role and didnt do it, got his way and played through the middle for 10-15 minutes and contributed fuck all - not the worst player today by a long shot.............but the player with the worst attitude (apart from Velicka) and yet another proud booking to add to his already high total. Seen more from the 11 year old in 5 minutes than i had seen from maguire the whole game - even the booking -
