  1. McGhee spotted at the Air Vegas desk at Glasgow Airport!
  2. I'm nailing my colours to the mast. John McGlynn.
  3. ugh just mentioned McPherson.
  4. Hartley? Simpson? Cooper?
  5. Surely this JC chat is just folk putting 2+2 together and getting 5?
  6. The right decision. Here we go again!!
  7. Fucker, that's my plan for going to the pub at noon fucked.
  8. I hope McGhee's sacking (fingers crossed) doesn't mean an easy ride for Milne at the AGM. There are some very pressing concerns at the club that are above and beyond whoever is in the manager's office.
  9. Jesus wept. Not doubting you BB, but this situation defies belief. We get humped 9-0, no sack. The next game is a "must-win", we lose, no sack. Further losses to St Johnstone and Killie, and still McGhee remains. At what point is this game to game review going to result in someone who is clearly incompetent losing their job?
  10. Further to McGlynn, he's taken Raith from the Second Division to the top of the first, via a Scottish Cup semi-final last season. Has also had spells as caretaker of Hearts. We could do a lot worse.
  11. Gordon Strachan - too dear, would he want to work with no budget? Jocky Scott - could be an option, bags of experience, question of not having managed at top-level recently? Alan Curbishley - too dear Paul Hartley - not that terrible a plan IMO. However, a rookie would be a massive risk given we're in a relegation battle. George Burley - seems to be doing OK at Palace? therefore unrealistic. Darren Ferguson - can't imagine we'd be very attractive prospect for him. May be unemployed soon though Billy Stark - good record with youngsters, but has failed at club level in past. Craig Brown - wouldn't want to leave Motherwell for us IMO, and why would he? Compensation issues. Derek McInnes - see compensation issues. St Johnstone have nearly been as bad as us this season. Again, are we an atractive prospect for anyone employed in the SPL? Eric Black - too dear to buy out contract perhaps? Would he want to give up a good job to come to a risky one? A name that seems to have been dropped is John McGlynn. Worth a closer look I think.
  12. Would be gutted if that was the case. Still though, if you can't get the sack after a club's record loss, in a sparkling run of 6 straight losses, leading the club to joing bottom, when are you going to?
  13. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20101130/dons-striker-michael-paton_2212158_2234089 He's out on trial with some team in Innsbruck, Austria, with a view to a loan move in January. Another young player seemingly alienated by McGhee? On the other hand, Paton was idiotic enough to get involved in Facebook-gate, and his attitude doesn't seem to have been sparkling since then. Any strikers off the wage bill, even temporarily, has got to be a good thing. Will hopefully allow the new manager to bring in a fucking full-back.

Well that was epic. The M90 between Glasgow and Perth was wild, snowmen, snowball fights and some truly awful "driving" from others.
  15. Never mind McGhee, it could have been worse! note the 27-0 loss too!
  16. I see the SPL games and Alba final are going to go ahead after the SFA rounded up a rag-tag bunch of refs from all over Europe to officiate.

  20. Didn't think Tails would be a Dons fan. Fair play.
  21. It is a mark of how far we have fallen that I can't honestly say that I have no doubts over this game. How many games this season, and in previous seasons, have we seen teams come up to Pittodrie, pack men behind the ball, and make things difficult for us? More often than not, we can't break down these type of sides. Anyway, hopefully the new manager can get things off to a flyer with a victory.
  22. Totally different. We're not in the relegation places.
  23. Basically buy a ticket for the Utd game on 1st January, and get into Motherwell game 18th December for a fiver. Have to plan ahead a fair bit (as tickets have to be bought by 17th December), but seems an ok deal. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20101119/its-a-christmas-cracker_2212158_2225037
