The work week is nearly done, what's the plans for the weekend? Drinking? Shagging? Pubs, drugs, clubs and parties? Sit sweating in an airport waiting to get home? Lie in your cabin offshore ripping the heid aff to the same tired old porno? Batter the wife, shag the kids? WHAT'S THE FUCKING PLANS?
  2. For the sake of argument, let's say we play Rangers and Celtic twice each at Pittodrie in a season (back in those halycon days of top 6 football). While Pittodrie may not be packed for those four fixtures, I'd imagine there would be in the region of 16k at each of them, depending of circumstances. Reduce that to one game each against the pair of the cunts, and Pittodrie might get above 20k for each fixture at a push. 4 x 16k = 64000 fans in Pittodrie 2 x 20k = 40000 fans y' see the problem?
  3. Rooney starts for Man Utd. Shocker.
  4. on the subject of contract negotiations from the retard yesterday. I'm not sure we should even be offering these players new contracts, let alone giving them as much time as possible to string us along while they look for new deals elsewhere. If Kerr and McDonald are our starting CMs next season, I'd be pissed off. Really think we need some new blood in there. Can't imagine any of those three players will be getting kept on as "squad" players either.
  5. Interesting take. Almost as "interesting" as this take from AFChat. Thank god we've had a dreadful season!

I thought I had Dennis Hopper's signing tied up, after wrapping up last year's championship. Had been scouting him for weeks, with nothing but good reports. However, I was pipped to the post by Snapper, the cunt.
  7. fuck sake Jimmy, looking at Caley players. Good on you McGhee, casting the net far and wide.
  8. as we get deeper and deeper into this relegation battle, i sometimes think it might be time for a beautiful stranger to take over in the summer. It may be time for McGhee to say Bye Bye Baby.
  9. Agreed. Dingus has performed like a virgin manager this season. He is really going to have to justify my love next season. maybe it's just a case of telling the players to go out there and express yourself.
  10. and people giving it the time of day! including our favourite little Scotsman fatshaft.
  11. Season ticket renewals?

His courage was dwarved only by his ability to inspire.
  13. Good point. Motherwell turned to an experienced hand in Brown when everything went tits up with Gannon, and it has happened to come good. However, if AFC had turned to a 70 year old manager with little or no experience of top level management over the past ten years, I think we'd all have been furious.
  14. Dundee 0 Raith 2
  15. TBH, after the way JC was crucified at Pittodrie towards the end of his tenure, I think it would be good to show him some support.

  17. McGhee is probably suffering the same fate as Calderwood here. The North East press are so fucking desperate for a story they'll take any remark and twist it into a story to fill some inches in the sport pages. That in turn gets analysed and disected by the message boards, until the only logical conclusion is that the manager is a fat weegie oaf/tactically naive Celtic sympathiser* (delete as appropriate)
  18. Seems like McGhee isn't too concerned about the confidence of the strikers he has remaining at the club.

  20. It's not. Seems something any sensible manager would do - ie. prepare, especially since Hamilton play 3 at the back, and occasionally 6 in midfield. However, one of the numerous sticks that JC was beaten with was that he too frequently set his team out to combat the opposing one, rather than set out his own team and let them play football. Always seemed far too simplistic to me. If it was as easy as setting your players in a 4-4-2 and sending them out with the instructions 'do good passing boys n score lots of goals', we would all be football managers. Then again, simplicity is right up the JMG street.
  21. i'd be utterly furious if i got a PM with a link to the OF game
  22. would have to question why Wenger says it's 'no coincidence' Arsenal have had a number of leg breaks. Is he claiming teams are going out to break his teams' legs? Or are they that good, that quick? It's a strange thing to say.
  23. As has been alluded to in other threads, it seems like something has to give in English football, and sooner rather than later. That's Pompey, Cardiff, Southend, Bournemouth all in serious financial trouble, as well as the arguably two biggest clubs in the country, Man Utd and Liverpool, saddled with hundreds of millions pounds worth of debts. Fucking great I say, anything to see the SPL gain some ground and credibility.
