  1. He may not have attended the dinner, but a prominent London based poster on a downmarket AFC forum currently has as his signature. MIG! And manc-don, is third really that far out of the question? There are twenty four points to play for, and we are sitting five behind Hertz with a better goal diff. Assuming (!) that we beat Hearts at Pittodrie post split, that would give us a two point gap. I'm not saying it's likely, just that it is still possible.
  2. There's got to be some kind of tired joke about Heineken in there.
  3. Yhoor jst nawt dwnn w/t thee kdz.
  4. Mr Bass, I have not a fucking scooby about his contract, or lack thereof. However, a quick google search uncovers this bebo, which may be our man. It reveals he is a dim-witted Celtic fan, who is fond of smilies. He also makes a cursory mention of Aberdeen FC. Hope this helps. http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=20145679 I don't look forward to hearing from you in the future. Yours etc, H.
  5. On a related note, I think the Aussies have now moved to the Asian qualifying group. As such, it should be much tougher for them to get to the World Cup.
  6. I always thought the saying was 'Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, give a man access to the internet and a Donstalk account, and he can post inane ramblings for a lifetime.'

I don't have her either, so no.

Certainly an inspired signing - surely no death worth more than another though?
  9. You didn't miss anything.
  10. There's not a fucking ghoster of a chance Coyle would come anywhere near us.
  11. Paul Ince you reckon?
  12. I'm 99% sure they wanted to change it, but weren't able to.
  13. Not convinced by anyone currently employed as a manager in Scottish football. For me, Nicholl or Black.
  14. Was just reading in the paper there that Calderwood has overseen ten cup campaigns in his time here. Nine times we have gone out to non OF opponents. Three of those times have been to lower league opposition. Sounds bad eh?
  15. I've heard that one before, it's called "I'm ploughing my girlfriend" by The Guy Upstairs.
  16. Just finished a couple of football books. Decent read - particularly interesting reading about Arsenal's evolution from the 1970s to the football on show this decade. Also, Bob Wilson noted that "fans have a much bigger influence on players than they think. In some cases they can make you - but they can also break you." Something that is quite appropriate with regards to our own fans just now. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/511PlI7gS3L._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA240_SH20_OU02_.jpg[/img] Again, a decent read. The tagline reads something like - "How football keeps dictators in power, and fuels revolutions." Just started a book about the Perfect Storm (ie, the film) and also have Slumdog Millionaire waiting. Mother read it, and was subsequently disappointed by the film, so reckon it should be quite good.
  17. I don't know if I'd be back at Pittodrie if Jeffries or Williamson was appointed. The board has two massive decisions to make between now and June - one is whether to sack JC at all, the second being his replacement. Not sure I trust them with either.
  18. I reckon Darren Ferguson is destined for bigger and better things than us. I said this at the start of the season, and I reckon it's more than apt now - the whole set up at Pittodrie is stale (or stagnant as BB put it). From the management team to players like Seve, Foster, Mackie and Young, I think a change would be good for the club in the summer. As has been noted, there's no point (and no possibility) of any change happening before the end of the season. I just hope the board have the foresight to do it.
  19. Bollocks. As has been noted a vast number of times, most sensible fans are somewhere in between the supposed JMG/JIG camps. It just happens that a number of posters on this site are willing to question JMGers on their views. After tonight, there are going to be a fair number of fans veering towards the supposed JMG camp (myself included, if not now then at the end of the season.) However, I think it's fucking pathetic that people will now crawl out to vindicate themselves - "Look at me, I was right all along!!"
  20. he won't walk: we won't sack him. See you this time next year.
