If I'm not mistaken, he may have been jailed for this, but has received two death sentences for various other crimes. However, I'm not really happy with his contribution to the squad. He came with a big reputation and the potential to be great, but hasn't lived up to that as yet.

From the commentary, it sounded like we played some good football in the second half, should have done enough to win it on the day. I have no fears we'll get past them in the replay. I don't think a winter shutdown would be a bad idea in principle. However, two entire months off may be going over the top a bit. One result of a shutdown might be more midweek games, which I'm sure we can all agree are wank. If we were to have two months off in the winter, why not go the whole hog and have summer football (something else I'm not necessarily opposed to, and something Smiffy might have in the back of his mind.)
