Well he has to play his strongest squad for me and perhaps tinker a wee bit at half time. By that i mean a couple of changes not half the team. This is a big test and the 11 on the park must be first choices, not just a random punt seeing how well Magennis will do at right back and Clangers upfront. To me, pre-season is over this is a SPL tester and we must produce!

I seem to remember a few years ago when we were playing our pre-season in Egypt and we were getting cuffed by a team called Aluminium!! That was dodgy. I think we got cuffed by Arab Contractors as well Canna mind. But that wasnt great. Must have felt like getting beat by Asda XI Onwards and upwards.

Well, looking on the brightside, we were playing lower division sides pre-season (so-far) and we always get cuffed by them in the cups, so we should look forward to the Kaiserslautern game as we will probably hump 'em Probably

Worst commentary ever!! Wan o the guys thought Zander Diamond had an "exotic" name!!! WTF!! Then just after tried to say Frazer Fyvie in a Scottish accent and thought he must be a Scottish player because he had ginger hair! I am sure Scholes, Riise and Kitson are Scottish too! TWAT

Well not a lot of news to tell you all. A new committee was set up. The first intention is to get our fan base back to a decent number as it has been dwindling rapidly over the years from the 200+ that it was a good few years ago. Keep an eye on the Shetland Times as we are looking to get people to add their names or revoke old memberships and be added to the members list (which will still be free). There will be another committee meeting before the Hunz game to see how we are getting on with memberships and take it from there. Hopefully a good turn out for the first game then we can look to build it from there. Still Shetland AFC merchandise available if anyone is interested. Shirts, fleeces, hats etc. Some are in stock others we would have to order but wouldnt take too long.

Aye nae bother. Hopefully we will be getting an up-to-date website shortly. Be discussing it at the meeting. It will save cluttering up Donstalk. Dont think there will be too much discussed really. Just getting a new committee orgainsed and then there will be a wee bit o discussion after. Hopefully we can have a meet up session once a month rather than just everyone gathering to watch the 2 games we get on tv per season Then we can start looking at trips south etc.

This would leave the Lee Hendrie thing up in the air now Ok so we were going to offer record breaking wages (well over 3g a week) for Hendrie. Surely if Hartley heard that he would be wanting at least the same and we surely cant afford two. Actually wasnt Hartley going to be Hearts highest paid player if he went back No sure canna mind. Reading between the lines Hartley obviously wanted a move to the Jambos affore wiz but Hendrie never really talked about fancying going elsewhere (maybe because nobody showed any interest in him) So surely Hendrie would be the better signing, or would he . . . . . .

God knows Too many Aberdeen fans up here are fickle and only want to use the supporters club when it suits them or when they want to see a game on sky. Never wear colours and then come out with all the gear they are too embaressed to wear out normally. Not all the fans, but there are some. We'll give it a good go this season and try and get trips, fuctions, maybe an ex player or something up here and see how many turn up. As usual though it depends on how well the team do, so, keep the old fingers crossed.

AGM of the Shetland Aberdeen FC Supporters this Wednesday (28th July) at Lerwick Masonic Club. A good turnout is essential!
