So some pishy Turkish side are offering 10k a week. Another kick in the bags for the SPL. To hear McGhee saying about us trawling Europe for players in places like Slovenia probably means second division in Slovenia!! Financially we really are getting more and more into the depths. Would be interesting to hear where we come financially in the money leagues in Europe, not very high i am guessing!

Agreed. Usual fine and a complete rollocking will suffice. I know they let the team, fans and individual players down but where do you stop with this. If somebody gets sent off against Kille, 4 weeks wages. If it happens at the weekend 5 weeks wages!! The two players were arguably our best performers (although Zander was injured for a lot of it). They were probably mad with the dross that were apparently playing around them in there team. Embarressed? probably!! When you are trying your best and you can see certain individuals not pulling their weight and knowing that there aint a way back for the team, then if there is a way out, some might take it Not saying that was the case, just a point. If Zander was captain would this happen?

On the fence we this one. Has had good moments but not many recently. But lookin at some o the pish we have at the moment maybe a good utility player. But then again maybe i should be realistic about our level at the same time and admit he would be first team and probably one of our better players!! Nope talkin gash again. Need to go for a pint if thats what i am coming out with!! :-)

I heard his interview on 106fm as well. The boy talked sense and again you can tell he was upset and angry.

Couldnt agree more! That should be pinned up all over the dressing room for Wednesday. As a player i would be ashamed to hold my head up. After reading the post about Mulgrew then it says it all really!

Spot on. He doesnt even show he cares. Time to go elsewhere. He is meant to be playing for the shirt and cant do it, even if he was playing to look good in the shop window he would only be in the 99p shop window. Pathetic! Roll on next season. Cant wait to see who we get in.

Got to agree with Dunblanedon about Miller. He cant run a business, so he surely cant be working our finances and since we cant afford quality what use is he to 'attract' players with his name!! Money should be used for players IMHO. The players that have heard of Miller, would of heard of McGhee and our '83 backroom team that are left. I am sure they can all recall glory just as well as Miller. I mean he got in the Jimmys and all be it, as Bobby says, had taken us as far as he could but then he was part of the backroom staff that got him sacked. I mean Jimmy didnt want to go, he said that, and was gutted to go. Dont make sense. This problem goes far further than McGhee, unfortunately it only really gets looked into when the club get to this state. Mibbe drink talking but . . .

If it was somebody elses team i would laugh! Unfortunately i think i will cry! He has given up for this season because he doesnt have the players, fine! What he doesnt seem to realise is that HIS job might be on the line before next season. Poor show McGhee, but i can understand his frustrations. Lets just say i wouldnt want to be in the dressing room . . . .

This just musnt happen. I know it has in the past (only too often) but with the squad being so small, he MUST get at least 6 players in. He says he knows the fortunes of the players but i think that might just be a bluff until he can guarantee at least mibbe 3 of his signings. Maybe not, but it wouldnt surprise me! Doesnt say much for him, Miller and the club itself, if we cant bring players in. I know money is a problem and we are looking for out of contract players and loan signings. . . . But, the rest of the SPL seem to be able manage it. Personally, i think experience is the key. a centreback, centre midfielder and striker, a necessity!! That would gel the team.

Ach they were both out of condition (er). You have to stay Trim in this game. I am sure if they got a good coach like Alan Combe they would do well.

So, we are miles apart from signing him on our wage budget. what is actually the difference. i a guessin he is wanting about 5g a week! laughable really.

Was Marshall actually playing today?? I am sure i saw him coming out the tunnel and he was mentioned in the team line up?!!! But that was it, VERY quiet game for a player on loan trying to gain a contract! Take me hat off tae Grassi today! Played fairly well and showed a bit o passion. Still reckon he should stick to using his head and forget kicking the ball!!!

Heard a lot of rumour about him joining Aberdeen including a Morton fan. Apparently Unirea Urziceni boss Dan Patrescu was interested in signing him as well, after they played Morton in a pre-season friendly! Any more news?

Well the SPL is a bloody boring league and having to play the old firm twice or four times aint going to change the standard of pish that is getting thrown the fans way!! Lack of money is the main problem in the league, culminating in poor footballers and poor play (including the OF) and there is no long term cure for that. T.V. showing SPL games is giving with one hand and taking with the other. I would love to see an 18 or hell 20 team league playing in Scotland, but we just cant do it!! No where near good enough and certainly financially for us, implausable. I would rather get summer football on the cards. So many abandoned matches during the winter months and the state of the pitches!!!! I cant say Pittodrie is going to be bathed in sunshine every week but it must be better than sitting watching Aberdeen and Caley in January!! Plus might be able to attract some good loan signings trying to stay fit for Europa/champions league or making the international team. (Expecting more pelters . . . )

Well sometimes you have to stick your head above the parapet just to see what bullets are flying about!! Always liked a laugh! Actually there are some Puffins up here that could do a job . . . :thumbsup: BTW, if we do get Mehmet and he turns out to be a great player, i said it first. This probably wont go down to well but i quite like Mehmet. Agreed we should be looking at so-called better players but if we dont get Kyle then we do need a big man upfront, and looking at our wage budget its going to be hard to get players up from south. Probably lower division players as well that might not settle into the hustle-bustle of the SPL. Sometimes its better the devil you know . . Better get my guard up after this post!!

Would be very happy with Kyle for the young strikers to work with. Unfortunately we still have at least another 6 (at least) players to get in . . .

A bit o both for me. Lets completely make sure we are safe then blend a few of the youth players in.
