  1. i think DY understands that if they don't get their finger out they'll all end up playing for partick thistle, and after being there doesn't want to go back!
  2. tough one, can't decide!
  3. thats what i was wondering, if there as actually any investment from them or if it was a bit of a holy grail in terms of investment, kinda like with Trump.
  4. i honestly think just now, having a team that worked hard and were competitive would be the next level up. once we have that ground work we can then look to start getting into cup finals and europe on a regular basis. we might even win something!
  5. the idea of that puts their professionalism in doubt. the thought of them 'trying harder' for another manager unfortunately says to me that it is indeed the players that we are needing to offload and not the manager
  6. on a slightly different note, talking about investment, has anyone in the oil industry EVER invested in Aberdeen?
  7. i'd sit in a corner rocking back and forward crying whilst asking the voices in my head to stop talking to me
  8. Trump may be a bit of a tit but he ain't that stupid!
  9. well said bunch of fuckin prima donnas who think they're bigger, better and more important than they actually are i've always been a fan of the "no-one is bigger than the club" mentality
  10. no's 4,8,10,14,16,18,20,21,22 below that i think its all youngsters. its our senior players who are letting us down and setting a bad example to our youngsters. they are the ones who should be punted. realistically though, we're never going to get rid of 8 or 9 players and get replacements in during the transfer window
  11. thing is with smaller crowds comes less gate money. the chance of the major squad changes needed in the summer is then out the window, and we get left with the same shite for next season
  12. he makes a good point about the crowd numbers. if they do fall it will cost the club a fortune, they need to realise that some sort of investment in the squad is needed to entice the fans back to the club.
  13. for a team of so-called professional footballers, thier lack of professionalism is staggering. They knew the script tonight, yet managed to be out-fought and out-played by a team with more determination, heart and courage. what the fuck has changed since Saturday? surely they must have realised the importance of the tie? what with the chance of progressing in the cup, the lucky escape at starks and the media hype they had no excuse for not having the motivation to go out and try. and to show such a lack of spirit and determination is criminal games against big or rival teams are easy to get motivated for, the true test of professionalism for a player is the ability to get yourself motivated for the games against smaller opposition, to show the same spirit and determination every time you step on the pitch. sadly this is completly lacking from the current team and after the shambles tonight it is evident that things need to change i personally hope MM stays and is given the chance to change things, unfortunately their is few other from the current squad i'd like to see stay. for MM to shape the squad how he wants it is going to take time so buckle up!
  14. IN/OUT: Oot Pre-match: Work Match: Work (hopefully getting it on the radio?) Post-match: Work then home Prediction: 3-1 Aberdeen
  15. good luck! would love to help but as i'm self employed i normally work weekends so get to go to games very rarely. loved the displays though
  16. i thought we only tried against Rangers?
  17. i'm a little scared of watching the highlights now!
  18. do you think that McGhee was having a a quiet go at some players attitude?
  19. overall a good result, glad to see Paton and Mclean getting the goals. How bad was Duff's miss? the radio said it was awful?
  20. thought we lacked any sort of fight until Zander came on yesterday, but the game was poor to be honest. Neither team really created anything and here was very little football on show. to me the biggest disappointment was the teams complete lack of ability to try anything other than punt the ball up the park to our forwards who won hee-haw in the air all game. i know that the state of the pitch meant we may struggle to play our silky passing game but surely better trying than just a hopeless punt! i think thats what frustrated me the most, surely the players must realise that the long ball just wasn't working and maybe they should try actually playing football? our central midfield was constantly bypassed, meaning that even if they had the ability or the desire to influence the game, they couldn't anyway. i lost count of the times McDonald and Kerr lost out on 50/50 balls and thought they lacked any sort of tackling ability. tbh i never thought either team actually looked like scoring at any point, their goal was more of a lucky strike than anything else (99 time out of 100 he'd only hit the corner flag) and our goal was just fuckin lucky! i must admit to being one of the fans chanting 'your not fit to wear the shirt' at the end, and in hindsight it was maybe a bit ott. we maybe need to get behind the team a bit more, but after watching that so called football match thants easier said than done we are crying out for a central midfielder tho, someone with a bit of bite and can actually try and influence the game.
  21. Yesh Mish Moneypenny
  22. as professional footballers "a totally committed performance" should be a requirement, not a preference.
  23. maybe if he was to shoot Mark Kerr you'd have a busy Merkland Stand?
  24. Gary McDonald? can't quite remember what he look's like as it's been that long since i've seen him playing
