  1. I'll only say for the previous two games (Hearts and St. Mirren) because they have been the only two I have managed this season so far. Aberdeen have clearly been set up in the following way V Hearts - Langfield Anderson Considine Reynolds Naysmith Rae Osbourne Jack Fraser Hayes Vernon v St Mirren Langfield Magennis Anderson Reynolds Considine Rae Osbourne Hughes Fraser Hayes Vernon Against St Mirren especially, Hughes should probably be occupying an advanced role ahead of Rae and Osbourne. It is clearly a 4-3-3 and anyone who disagrees has clearly not been to a game this season and/or is deluded.
  2. Completely agree. Find that attitude a bit ridiculous and pathetic to be honest.
  3. 1-1 United and Southampton. Good weekend for me in football fantasy! I've got Toure, Tevez, Carzola, Van Persie and Lambert all in!
  4. Not as entertaining as the Hearts game but still pumped them. Just could not stick it in the net. Smith had a great chance and did really well to get to the header in the first place as he was the smallest player on the pitch. Disappointed to have only come away with a point. Can't really criticise any of the players, again the defence in particular Anderson and Considine, and the midfield was brilliant. Osbourne put in another brilliant shift. It's just up top where we are lacking. I can really see the logic behind a front 3 of Hayes - Vernon - Fraser but Vernon just can't play on his own. I assume McGinn would have been ear-marked to possibly partner Vernon but he is injured and him and Fallon are just too similar. I wouldn't mind seeing Megginson being given a chance up top. Can anyone also tell me why Megennis was given a new deal? What's his role at the club? He is 22 or so and has already played in 3 different positions, neither of which is he even competent at! This points to me that the boy is just not a football player. He was the weakest link in a strong defence and it showed. On a sidenote, I didn't realise that I could have hated Jim Goodwin anymore. A truly horrible player and a disgusting individual, somebody that shouldn't deserve to be a footballer. He ended Hartley's career and at times yesterday, it looked like he was determined to end someone else's career. A complete and utter cunt.
  5. Aye I travelled doon to that game. Best game and bounce I've been in! Still got the ticket which was up on my wall not so long ago! His goal against Hearts too was a cracker.
  6. He also should have been sent off. He was also badly at fault for Man City's equaliser against Southampton. It was basic defending.
  7. No big surprise given that he hasn't gotten a gig at another club. Thought he was a stick on for Ross County or a First Division club.
  8. I see their trying to sign David Templeton from Hearts. Ludicrous. Ah well, it will be fun to listen to their excuses and moans when the transfer ban kicks in.
  9. Why Daniel Fox continues to get in the squad is beyond me. He is fucking terrible. I assume it can be just on the virtue of playing in the Premiership which by Levein's logic, automatically makes you good enough.
  10. Rob Green must be feeling a right tit! Can't see Cesar warming the bench!
  11. Suarez looks to have put Liverpool through. Poor from Hearts after scoring and then letting them go up and score.
  12. Aye, I find Rhodes's move to Blackburn very strange and a bit disappointing to be honest. Another good season at Championship level and more Premiership teams would surely have been taking notice of him. Exactly TF, I wouldn't touch Blackburn with a barge pole if I was Rhodes. Terrible owners, terrible manager, relegated, fans revolting against the whole club and all this whilst attempting to win the Championship. Not the best for an up and coming striker. Also, another strange transfer is Scott Sinclair. Well not so strange, given the fact that it will significantly increase his weekly wage, but I mean, does he really expect to play? Does he really expect to get a regular game? City have just sold Adam Johnson, a very good player IMO and one that is definitely worthy of being a first team regular in just about every other Premier League team. You would think that would be some kind of warning sign to the boy. Swansea seems to be a really good club with a good chairman, seemingly good managerial appointments and play football in a very-pleasing-on-the-eye style. He has left Chelsea earlier on his career in order to get first team football and I would imagine Sinclair will be doing the same again in 6/12/18 months.
  13. Carroll heading for West Ham after all. An Allardyce signing all over. Wonder what West 'Aaaammm fans will be thinking of this signing given that they were calling for Allardyce's head last season due to his style of football?! Berbatov having a medical at Fulham. Good signing for Fulham IMO.
  14. Champions League groups: Group A: Porto, Dynamo Kiev, Paris St Germain, Dinamo Zagreb Group B: Arsenal, Schalke, Olympiakos, Montpellier Group C: AC Milan, Zenit St Petersburg, Anderlecht, Malaga Group D: Real Madrid, Manchester City, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund Group E: Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, Juventus, FC Nordsjaelland Group F: Bayern Munich, Valencia, Lille, BATE Borisov Group G: Barcelona, Benfica, Spartak Moscow, Celtic Group H: Manchester United, Braga, Galatasaray, CFR Cluj Fully expect Man Who, Man City and Chelski to go through. Man Yoo and Chelski should go through reasonably comfortably but I think Man City have the toughest group of all the British teams. Celtic will get pumped in both games against Barca, beat Spartak Moscow at home and draw against Benfica at home whilst getting pumped in all of their games away from home. Arsenal should go through pretty easily but could easy make it difficult for themselves.
  15. Would like to see a new goal-keeper or striker added with possibly a couple of players leaving either on loan or permanently.
  16. I did plan to do that Kow, just to see what they offered me like. But anything less than what that GiffGaff is offering and I think I'll move. Was just wondering if anyone had used them as they are a relatively new company.
  17. Anybody used it for phone contracts? Any good points or bad points? Recommend them or no? Been tied into a contract from Orange for the past 2 years which I've grown to increasingly dislike especially when I've seen better sim only contracts for £10 cheaper on other networks. My contract runs oot in October and I ken all aboot haggling to get a cheaper deal but to be honest, I'm terrible at haggling and I can't really be arsed with the hassle. I've got a smartphone already so a sim only deal would suit me. Seen GiffGaff and they are offering 400 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £15 a month which would suit me grand I think. They also use O2s network so signal/reception will be the same as O2. Or any other good phone contract deals worth mentioning/looking at?
  18. Up in Inverness the weekend of the 29th so might go along and watch Clach against Formartine.
  19. Quite right, the ref was poor on Sunday. Letting Webster and Zaliukas away with murder whilst for 50/50's, Hearts seemed to get plenty of the decisions.
  20. Absolutely agree 100%. He was absolutely immense against the Jambos, the best performance I've seen by an Aberdeen central midfielder in a long time. However, I don't think anybody is fan of centre backs as full backs despite Anderson being superb there on Sunday. I have a feeling Ozzie might just play more as a right back this season. Jack seems to be getting pushed more into a midfield role so far then we've got Hughes, Rae and Milsom and McGinn to come back in also. With Ozzie playing at right back, already this season, I have a feeling he could be played there. Personally, I would rather have Jack playing right back and if we continue to play 4-3-3, Rae and Ozzie holding and Hughes/Milsom/McGinn pushing forward and supporting the attack. Rae can also join in from time to time, as he showed against Hearts.
  21. Good news on Hughes and sounds like McGinn shouldn't be too far away.
  22. Very true, I would be quite happy to see him leave Aberdeen as I don't think he's showed much at all. However, his performance against Man U was very impressive and maybe we should give him one more chance yet.
