Didn't really rate him at all when he was first here. His 'versatility' was more 'jack of all trades, master of none'. Didn't excel in any position but didn't do badly in either one. Not inspired or excited by him re-signing.

I think it was the 0-0 draw against Hearts at home which effectively ruled out us being able to clinch third (correct me if wrong) when him and Aluko were playing on the same wing and they were tremendous. A real cut above the rest.

Hughes has made himself out like a total cunt. I would near about eat a sock of mine if he wasn't appointed Villa manager within the next few days. Money talks. A 2 year deal is an utter waste to us. If we agree, theoretically, we have one year to sell him on for a bit of money. If we don't, we lose the compo and if he stays till the end of the 2 year deal then we lose him on a free.

A cynic might suggest that BB! I don't know though, you have to assume he is not 100% fit but now that relegation is probable, I'm sure Sullivan and Gold will get rid of Grant along with the big money earners such as Cole, Green, Upson and Parker.
