  1. What's Megginson done to grind your gears Dave? A promising youngster from what I have seen of him and probably had gotten more game time this season had it not been for Tokely assaulting him at Caley earlier in the season. Don't agree with getting rid of him at all. Also don't see how you can bracket Paton, Pawlett and Fyvie as 'kids' and not Megginson. Would be more inclined to get rid of Paton. Done very little of any note during his time at AFC and any respect or inkling that we should keep him, quickly disappeared when a few of my mates seen him getting tossed off under the blackjack table in Gala Casino. Also don't agree with Hartely, although I think he only has another season in him. Fyvie just coming back from a serious injury and probably not ready to fully get into it, Hartely will stay on for another season yet. I'm not disagreeing with you that the squad needs a major overhaul but these things dont happen overnight. Brown has got to identify players he feels will improve the squad and he has to do that quickly. Hopefully, over the course of the summer, we will see more changes that what are currently being spoken about now.
  2. No and I can't see them with any better Europe/Silverware asperations than us. Hey ho, it will just add to Hibs notoriously weak defence.
  3. Said at the RGU Sports Ball where he was the guest speaker. I should note, that I wasn't there.
  4. I feel sorry for Barry Nic more than anything else. Had a horrendous run of injuries and only really now getting a run of games.
  5. Willie Miller apparently quoted as saying that Diamond is more likely to go to Hibs than Hearts.
  6. 3-3 Hearts Motherwell. Well back from 3 goals down! Pains me to say it but McCall is doing a good job there.

    Friday 3.30pm

A 3rd week/weekend off the drink has come around again and the same beckons. Fun.
  8. Your guess is as good as mine I'm afraid! However, I think it would only be a good thing if sports shops stocked AFC kits.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking. Add to that, supporting Rangers/Celtic/Man United/Chelsea/Arsenal etc etc appears to be more 'fashionable' than supporting a team getting humped 9-0, kids will be wanting to support teams that win trophies and or on the tv.
  10. Some first half at White Hart Lane! Still could go either way as both teams sound shaky at the back.
  11. Yeah I'm pretty sure he does. Shame. Would love to get him on a permanent contract.
  12. I don't think she is a former Miss Scotland, she was certainly getting every Tom, Dick and Harry to vote for her on facebook last year though. For much of the last two seasons (under McGhee's tenure), Aluko has only shown glimpses of the form and ability that he is capable of. Injuries have counted against him that time though as he has hardly had a decent run in the first team and I think that opposing teams tend to get 2 men on him everytime he picks up the ball hasn't helped. However, over the past month, I think he has been our best player and is certainly capable of being one of the best players in the SPL on his day. Would like to see stay on as I think he is capable of much more if he stays.
  13. Woke up with the strange feeling of optimism. Mon Don's! :AFC2: :AFC2: :penalty:
  14. 2-0 Motherwell. EDIT - 3-0 now. We're meeting Motherwell in the final.
  15. Just seen STV coverage of the semi-final. Diamond certainly speaking as if this is his last season in a Aberdeen shirt, Hartely looking on course to be fit and Smith and McNamee not going to make it by the sounds of it. Smith and to a lesser extent, McNamee are blows. Means we have to stick midfielders or central defenders in the full back positions.

Big fat zilch. Be doing uni work. Excitement of this weekend will be watching the football.
  17. Another defeat but by the sounds of it, some encouraging signs at least and we perhaps should have had a draw.
  18. Nish is utter dung. I once seen him fall over a bit of grass. It amazes me that he is the 10th all time SPL top goal-scorer. Hopefully, this is like last summer when we were linked with Michael Higdon.
