  1. I'm fancying Ballabriggs, Character Building (e/w) and Midnight Club. Big Fella Thanks might also be worth a good e/w bet. No decided yet what bet to stick on Ballabriggs or Midnight Club.
  2. Indeed, I decided not to go just yesterday. Got my dissertation due in in a couple of weeks, cant really afford it and I would be lying if I said the last time we were at Hampden didn't also influence my decision. I'm sick of being humped this season. I hope we're not humped like, but I've seen it and heard it all before from the players and management who spout off to EE about how the fans deserve it, we didn't show up last time etc etc and nothing ever changes.
  3. I never once said that we're 3 players short of being a top 4 team. Yes, I can see where your coming from when you say we need 11 new players but that is never going to happen so there's no point in discussing it. We have absolutely diddly squat in the coffers. Zilch. Zero. Nadda. Brown has stated that we are in the market for free, over 23 year olds (to avoid paying compensation). Hopefully Brown will be able to unearth a few gems during the summer transfer window but I wouldn't be too suprised to see Langfield and Diamond in particular, and Young to a lesser extent, leaving. Spot on.
  4. I think that is somewhat unfair on McNamee especially tsr. He's come in, done what has been asked of him and has generally been a decent addition to the squad when fit. Filled a position which was desperately needing filled with a relatively cheap and experienced pro. Smith has been really good since he has come to the club, however him having a year left on his contract at Norwich might scupper any chance of any permanent deal. Milsom has been a breath of fresh air since he arrived at the club, takes the ball down, looks for a pass, always has his head up and doesn't just look for the easy punt. Would be great to get him on a permanent contract. Just because Brown has offered the out of contract player doesn't mean they are going to sign new deals. Either way, the only players I really want to see leave the club are Diamond, Young and Langfield. I don't think Aluko or Maguire have 'losers' mentality but the other three have had more than enough chances at this club. That said, I do think it is a bit strange as to how Brown seems to rate Diamond especially with what he has said in the press but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that it might just be paper talk and/or him playing up to the media. It's still early days in the Brown regime and hopefully we can lift the apathy that seems to surround this club.
  5. Ah yes. That familiar friend, apathy, has once again joined us.
  6. Aberdeen: Langfield, McArdle, Diamond, Considine, Smith, Paton, Young, Milsom, Pawlett, Magennis, Maguire. Subs: Howard, Anderson, Vernon, Aluko, Vujadinovic, Jack, Blackman. Interesting seeing Paton and Pawlett given a run out. Hopefully Pawlett in particular can impress. Mon Dons.
  7. I was snooping about the Virtual West Bank around our cup tie and there seemed to be an issue with a boycott. I can't seem to find the specific thread now when I look back but there was/is definitely an issue with the club's board and/or Danny Lennon which has contributed to the boycotting of games by fans. Not that you would notice much of a difference!
  8. Add to that, this 'protest' issue at St Mirren by their fans, it could well be a shocking attendence. In/Out: Out Pre-Match: Library Match: Library Post-match: Home Prediction: Drab 1-2.
  9. Boyle is a cock-end of the highest order. Apparently had something to do with Brown and Knox taking legal action against Well and Boyle over unpaid bonuses.
  10. Holy shit! What was the driver of the car thinking?!
  11. Yeah some nice ones there. Kappa, Le Coq Sportif, Reebok and Hummel ones, I'm not keen on really. Has to be between the two adidas one's or the bottom left one for me.

    Friday 3.30pm

Well Friday nights don't get much better than this! Dishes done, washing done, slippers and pj's on, kettle boiling for tea, cinnamon swirls at the ready for Football Years!
  13. Why would the Killie chairman give Scunthorpe permission to speak to Paatelainen and then 'try to pull out all the stops' to keep him?
  14. See previous contract offer. Any club will have to pay compo as we have already offered him a contract on paper.
  15. Didn't do anything badly either. A competent full back in a poor team. Don't think there is much difference, if any between McNamee and Ross, however, Ross's injury record is significantly better than McNamee's.
  16. I see he his back from his time in China and looking for a deal now at St. Mirren. Thought what he said was quite refreshing in this day and age where you get players with over-inflated egos of themselves. To hear him come out and admit he wasn't good enough and he's never been a great player is quite a difficult thing to do and I applaud him for that. Probably would still have him at back at Pittodrie mind you. Hard to believe he's still only 30.
  17. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/9432795.stm Signed a pre contract. Strange one indeed, possibly something to help signing Blackman and that young boy we were going to sign, Lowe? Either way, he doesn't seem to have had a look in and I actually forgot that he had signed.
  18. Broon stated at the NOTW roadshow that Pawlett was suffering from a knee injury which flared up after a couple of days training or a game which therefore means he has to sit out the next one.
  19. Only really shown what he can do this season and I think he would be silly to move. However, I won't lose much sleep over him going.
  20. Shite. No sure if I will make this one as my dissertation is due for the 28th of April but maybe manage a quick trip up and doon yet. We'll see but Sunday kick off at 12:15pm is shite regardless of the occasion.
