LOLZ! Fuck the lot of them. Liverpool were lacking imagination the night. Very little creativity going forward and Braga were pretty comfortable.

Shocking challenge. Warranted a card, if not a red one. Right in front of Craig Thomson too.
-
It was after a challenge from behind wasn't it? Hartely nicked the ball and the boy caught him from behind or something to that effect if I remember correctly.

Aberdeen never make things easy on themselves do they?! Got there in the end though! Just parking me erse on the seat when Aluko stretched out a leg to a low ball into the box and it rebounded off the bar and then out for a corner via Gallacher I think. From the resulting corner, Maguire I think got the final touch onto it and it was 1-0. It was a decent first half showing Aberdeen but we couldn't rest easy and there was a couple of jittery moments when St Mirren were allowed to hit the ball and there were a couple of occasions where the wasn't far from going in. Got the second at a perfect time, right before half time. I thought it was an own goal. Second half wasn't that good but we were just happy to see it out and looked very comfortable apart from a bit of pinball wizardry in the box aside, until Vujadinovics first touch of the ball when he headers it past Langfield! Obviously then, Mirren start launching everybody up and Vernon should have put the game to bed when he was through one on one. Mirren had a couple of decent chances to make it 2-2 from Dargo and I think McGowan but we seen it out in the end. Just a bit more nervy than what it should have been. Aluko had a good game tonight. Full of running and tricks and flicks which were paying off. Looked more like what he is so capable of. Maguire faded in and out in the second half as did Jack. Milsom huffed and puffed without it really paying off and Young was average, although he stood off his men and allowed their players to pick out a pass quite a bit in the first half. Defensively, I thought we played well with Smith, Considine, Diamond, McArdle and Langfield all looking fairly comfortable. McArdle's distribution was fucking rank rotten the night, everytime it was a long punt upfield, akin to Ifil's distribution.

He took the corner! Nah dont think so! Looked like it was flicked on from Diamond and Maguire got on the end of it. I dont think Hartely possibly being out for the season can be seen as a good thing. When Young came out, the centre of midfield quickly became non-existent whereas when Hartely was on, there was a good deal of work and play coming from there. Young stood off his man everytime. Whilst I agree that he is showing his age, I still believe that he's not finished yet.

Surely if thats the case then the sale of Pittodrie will contribute a lot to the club as it can only be a good thing that the level of debt is reduced. Is it not that the land that Pittodrie is situated on is worth significantly more than the land the new stadium will be built on, therefore making a substantial step to reducing the debt?

Bayern and Inter was a cracking game. Fantastic. Bayern will be kicking themselves as they could and should have been 4 or 5-1 up at half time. Lovely finish from Pandev for the decisive goal. Inter are a mess, defence wise.

At least he brings a bit of comedy to football! Crazy Jens!

Exactly what I was thinking.

Released by us. Went to Inverness Caley and then onto Brechin where he scored a load of goals.

Haha, I forgot my notepad!

He was asked about this at the roadshow last night. He said he didn't believe it was right that players should be allowed to lift and pose the cup when they haven't won it. Hartely has won it twice as a player and therefore is allowed to do it but the other players, they have to win it and then they will be able to pose with it.

Also forgot to say, that Brown highlighted the little money we have. Basically, we are looking for players that are free and over 23 to avoid paying compensation. Even in the summer, we don't have two pound coins to rub together.
-
LOL! No, he did not suprisingly enough! Actually, I wasn't aware of Scott Davie's hatred for the Dons and therefore, Dons fans hatred for Davies. Although his spunking of McGhee being sacked when we lost 1-2 to Caley was loathsome.

Just came back from this. I thought it was very interesting to hear the thoughts of Craig Brown and he offered some insightful views. It's utterly amazing his knowledge on the game. Overall, I thought all the panel spoke very well. Someone asked Brown how he and Know turned it around after the debacle of McGhee, just highlighted the lack of positivity around the club, the lack of belief and confidence at the club and how some players didn't want the ball. He said he 'there's no magical formula' to management, just highlighted how a bit of positivity and encouragement can work wonders. He said to the players, 'your being paid to keep fit, play with a smile on your faces!'. Then Archie Knox says 'Aye, and I'll soon fucking knock the smiles off!'. He said the whole team burst out laughing. He also mentioned about the reasons as to why he and Knox left Motherwell and how he 'wasn't happy with the way Motherwell treated their players' and how promises hadn't been kept. Duncan Shearer told an amusing story about breaking Steven Pressley's nose! Also the way he spoke, just showed how much he loved the club, discussing celebrations in the crowd and running into fans etc. He has a very dry sense of humour which had the audience and the panel in fits of laughter a couple of times. Spoke about various issues, from out of contract players such as Maguire (and what he had said to Maguire about going south to early on) and Milsom, SPL restructuring, pitches, Scotland national team, Old Firm fucking off, referees, Lennon's behaviour etc etc.

I'll agree with you on the latter point. 'Fame' was a major letdown.
-
The Office wasn't funny IMO but Extras and Gervais's standups such as Politics and Animals were brilliant IMO. Not seen enough of 'An Idiot Abroad'.

Also got my tickets the day.

Indeed. Man United are in desperate need of reinvestment. How Carrick got a new deal is beyond because he is nothing short of woeful. With Van Der Sar retiring at the end of this season, Fergie can ill afford a repeat of chopping and changing mediocre goal-keepers like he did after Schmeichel left. Without either, Ferdinand or Vidic, the centre of defence is decidely shakey. Smalling has impressed me everytime I have seen him play but he seems to be more confident when either Vidic and Ferdinand is playing. The midfield is in desperate need of reinforcement, Scholes and Giggs is not going to go on for ever, Carrick is awful, Fletcher is good but is not going to be scoring reguarly and ain't going to link up forward play that often and whilst Nani is good, he can be too often very frustrating. A couple of world class midfielders is what they need. And I would also start Hernandez with Berbatov. Great player that boy.

Yes. I took my girlfriend as she loves him but his stand up is entertaining. Certainly different from his stuff on TV obviously but still, entertaining enough. He was on for around 2 hours with a small break in between, very good value for money I would say.
