  1. In/oot: Oot Pre Match: Library Match: Watching on ESPN - poss in the Pitt Post match: Flat Prediction: 2-1 Dundee United. Seem to have the upper hand on us in recent times. Magennis I don't think would be a bad shout at all to start. He's built like a brick shithouse and he is pretty fast and if you can combine both these attributes together, then it makes you a very difficult player to play against. However, I don't think Brown will change the front two from Vernon and Blackman.
  2. That looks horrific. It was a truly shocking challenge, which should have been a straight red. Rafael should have gone too.
  3. :lolabove: http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/95498-jerel-ifil/ And this after they thought that he would be a 'great addition'!

Hmmmmm, that's what I maybe though. Too much of the 'I love Scotland, it's insane' stuff in his support act for Frankie Boyle alone. Went to see Russell Howard again last night. Funny and certainly gave your money's worth. Pretty much ruined some of the gig as some cunts were hell bent on him getting his top off.
  5. Quite interested in going to that! Even more since its free! Anyone been to anything like this before?

I see Craig Campbell (Canadian guy who supported Frankie Boyle) is at the Lemon Tree next week. Was thinking of getting a ticket or two. Anyone seen him at one of his own shows? What like was he?
  7. Agreed. The performance that really stands out for me is his performance against Rangers at Pittodrie, it was the first game of the season and it was Calderwood's first game in charge. It ended 0-0. Diamond and Anderson were both exceptional that game but in the latter stages, Diamond made some terrific game saving tackles inside the box and the whole of the RDU were singing 'There's only one Zander Diamond!' Cant think of many more times that was sung! For whatever reason, he hasn't progressed from there, from a raw but great teenage prospect. He had that awful 18 months where he was getting red cards, injuries and making mistakes and he has never really recovered. Ok, now, on his day, he is capable of being a decent SPL centre back but a howler is never far away and I have lost confidence in having Diamond at centre back. Time to go.
  8. Fucking scum the lot of them. Lennon in particular.
  9. Add to Duberry being out, that St Johnstone don't really have a recognised goal-scorer in their team. I can't see us being beat for this.
  10. I've seen this reported on Jambokickback when I've been snooping on their pre and post matches against us. Needless to say they don't want him! Glad to see the back of Diamond! He's dung.
  11. Chelsea and Man United 1-1. Saying on BBC Sport about the title race 'being back on'. Even a Chelsea win here wont be good enough for them I think.
  12. You may have spoke too soon CtS.

  14. McLeish managed 6 major cup finals and won them all I am led to believe.
  15. Despite it being bad for us, I love seeing the Tims getting beat. Fuck them.
  16. Dunno! He scored again for Preston the day!
  17. Agreed. Would really like him to sign up!
  18. Read Paterson's book also. Agree with all the sentiments on here, a very good read. Also read 'Into the Wild' by Jon Krakauer which I thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend it. Now in the process of reading 'Pay As You Play: The True Price of Success in the Premier League Era' by Paul Tomkins, Graeme Riley and Gary Fulcher. A very thorough examination of the effect that the increased money has had and pretty interesting so far.
  19. Barry Nic scores again for Preston!
  20. Thought Milsom was outstanding today. Such an awareness for a pass, good with the ball at his feet and looks to drive on.
  21. Despite it finishing 0-0, it was an entertaining gam. Certainly had the better of the game and could have nicked it in the end if it hadn't been for a good save from Kello following a nice exchange between Maguire and Blackman. Jack and Aluko probably should have done better with their shots in the second half but I'm not going to criticise. I would have taken a draw at the start and it's a confidence booster, not so much the result but the manner in which we set about Hearts. I thought McArdle and Considine (in particular) had really good games as did Smith at left back. Milsom was again outstanding and Hartely was full of energy. I don't think he is as past it as some others make out that he is. Aluko had a good game also, tracking back well and skinning people on the wing. Vernon didn't have the best of games. Too often his touch let him down or he didn't hold onto the ball long enough, deservedly subbed IMO. Can't think of a bad performance really, although McNamee looked pretty shakey on occassions. Langfield I can't think had a difficult save to make. Overall, I would have taken a draw and our performance was a good was so pretty optimistic for the games ahead. We certainly are an improving team and if McArdle and Considine can keep up that levels of performance, hopefully Diamond will stay out of the team for a bit.
  22. 12 noon kick off for this one. No a big fan of early kick off's really as I generally think it dampens the atmosphere a bit. Anyway, it will be a difficult game as we have not beaten Hearts at Pittodrie since 2008 and with them flying at the minute. However, hopefully we can pick up where we left off against Hamilton! In/Oot: In Pre-Match: Flat Match: RDU Post-Match: Flat Prediction: 1-1
  23. Mainly down to living in Orkney and being too young to travel on my own, I didn't make it to many games during the years of Skovdahl or Paterson or if I did, I can't really remember much about them. When I came down to Uni and got a season ticket, Calderwood was in charge. I know there were probably worse players by a mile that have played for AFC, but I never witnessed them with my own eyes. Anyway, good luck to Ifil. Had nothing against him personally, just a very very bad footballer.
  24. Gets the esteemed accolade of being the worst professional footballer I have ever had the misfortune to witness. Although Bristol Rovers think Ifil signing is a 'great piece of business' and it is 'excellent news'.
