Agreed. The performance that really stands out for me is his performance against Rangers at Pittodrie, it was the first game of the season and it was Calderwood's first game in charge. It ended 0-0. Diamond and Anderson were both exceptional that game but in the latter stages, Diamond made some terrific game saving tackles inside the box and the whole of the RDU were singing 'There's only one Zander Diamond!' Cant think of many more times that was sung! For whatever reason, he hasn't progressed from there, from a raw but great teenage prospect. He had that awful 18 months where he was getting red cards, injuries and making mistakes and he has never really recovered. Ok, now, on his day, he is capable of being a decent SPL centre back but a howler is never far away and I have lost confidence in having Diamond at centre back. Time to go.
