  1. Did anyone see that Piquonne (sp?) sending off for West Ham? Utterly ridiculous and a travesty. A booking for celebrating with the fans? Give me a break.
  2. In/Oot: In Pre-match : Church on the Hill Match: Section P3 Post-match: I would imagine heading up the road again Prediction: Dons. 2-1.

    Films

    Fantasically funny film.
  4. I'll be heading down to Glasgow early through the week to see the girlfriend. I hear a lot of folk gan to Church and The Hill before the game? Any good?
  5. 1-0 Liverpool. An influential performance from Torres thus far apparently. Obviously now, Sky will be spouting off about the 'Dalglish effect' on him and his return to full fitness....
  6. I thought he was ok today. Was in the right place at the right time for the goals and that suits me down to the ground. Worked his socks off as usual and was rewarded for his effort and endeavour. Also credit where credit is due after losing half a stone through the week. I think cutting him a bit of slack would be appropriate.
  7. Broon doesn't sound too optimistic on McNamee's injury. Quite a serious groin injury.
  8. Yep, your not wrong there. He played well today and good on the lad. A decent 2 nil result for the team and now as Scott Davie said, we can finally start looking up the table rather than looking at the teams below us! Just shows how much of a shambles this season has been when Broon and Knox has doubled the points tally in 4 games that McGhee and Leitch brought us in 16!
  9. He did reasonably well. Started slowly but started to settle down more and more as the game went on before fading near the end. Understandable given the lack of match practice he has had. A good left foot on him and he's not afraid to take a shot, I think he could add a decent number of goals to the team. Good range of passing also. Wouldn't mind seeing him ping in a free kick or two, think he could be a good free-kick taker with such a good left foot. Just needs more match practice but certainly looked like a useful addition to the side.
  10. That will come with age. He is developing and improving each season and this will also develop and improve.
  11. So you don't want him to put a bit of effort into try and win the ball back? I can't judge you on his tackling style as I can't recall any particular incidents. He was switched with Maguire for a good spell in the second half.

    Summer

Me and this missus is thinking of gan daaaan to facking Laaandaan town ain't we you cockney geeezaa's.
  13. Attempted elbow my arse. I like your choice of word 'brushed'. Fits in with your agenda against Maguire nicely. Him and Mair both went for the ball, both fell on their arses and Maguire petulantly flicked a boot out, which Mair didn't even notice and the ref didnt deem to be anything, not even a talking too. The first half was a scrappy and unentertaining affair which seemed to suit St. Mirrens defence far more. Mostly punting high balls into the box, do you honestely expect Maguire to be winning high balls against Mair and Potter? Both teams were comfotable and cancelling each other out. In the second half, when we started getting balls to feet, we saw an improved performance from not just Maguire but Magennis (who didn't do much but escapes your scathing criticism), Jack and Vernon.
  14. Young was decent. No more, no less. Considine was ok, not really tested to any extent.
  15. Christ. Once again your hatred blinds the fact that he has a good game. Can't handle admitting that he had a good game. Petulant behaviour? Yes. Almost got him sent off? No. So despite him setting up two goals on a plate and everything we did good today he was central to that, you still somehow find a reason to fault the boy? He also played upfront in the second half you know. It seems that no matter what the boy does he will never be good enough for you, he burst his gut today (as he has been doing all season), played well, was a constant menace to the St. Mirren defence and set up two goals (he probably would have had one if Vernon hadn't touched it in) and was the main difference between the sides IMO. Take that chip off your shoulder that you seem to have with the boy and give credit where credit is due.
  16. What we've been crying out for years, a goalscorer who kens where to be at the right time. Very useful player. Thats him 1 goal away fae Miller's best tally!
  17. Started off very slowly but seemed to come into the game more and more before fading a bit in the latter stages. Obviously lacks a bit of match fitness but that will come. A decent left foot on him, a good range of passing and not afraid to take a man on. Just needs a couple of games to really settle in and I think he could prove to be a useful player in our squad. How he would fit in had Hartely and Aluko been playing, thats up to Broon!
  18. Strange career move by MON IMO who I thought was destined for bigger things after Villa. However, if he keeps them up, which I think as every chance of doing, then he is pretty much guranteed a large pot of cash to strengthen the squad and I think that West Ham will only prosper with O'Neill in charge. However, this is about the third season, West Ham are fighting relegation so it may take a bit of time for O'Neill to change the mindset of the team. But as with McGhee/Brown, it's amazing what a bit of organisation and man management can do!
  19. Good result and a good performance. The first half was instantly forgettable with a couple of well struck shots from Milsom and a chance for Jack where he probably should have done better. Scrappy and unentertaining. Second half was a massive improvement with Bebo the standout. Got an early goal from Vernon from about 2 yards out from a Maguire shot I think. Scott Davie on the radio said it looked to have been going in anyway? Second was near identical, again from Maguire. Worked some decent openings and a 2 nil victory is probably the correct result. That's the first game I have been able to manage since Brown took charge and the difference is unbelievable. Well drilled, organised, confident and all the team together. MOTM - Maguire.
  20. Agreed. I never mentioned that it was my opinion, just I thought that the article suggested that this was the case.
