  1. I don't really get where this 'primadona' myth or supposed attitude problems stems from. The people that seem to know best about his attitude seems to be Stoney or MiniJC. The boy has improved dramatically over the course of the past few seasons and has continued to improve this season. To be slated for scoring a hat-trick and setting up two is ridiculous whoever your playing.
  2. Hmmmm, I did wonder if Leeds would be able to hold out. That would be some away day if they had kept them out! Put Man U oot at the same stage last year at Old Trafford too.
  3. Did maybe think about sticking a shilling or two on Leeds too but decided against it! Tis always the way! 11/1 on Willie Hill.
  4. I assume we will line up like this Langfield McNamee McArdle Diamond Considine Young Hartely Jack Aluko Vernon Maguire Possibly Jack may be out wide right and Young in the centre but would love to see Jack take advantage of injuries to others and now that we have a right back and put in some good performances in the centre of midfield as he was MOTM against Raith in the League Cup when he was in the centre. Can't make it today as I am sitting in the uni library so will have to make do with chat and the radio! COYR
  5. Snodgrass peno puts Leeds 1 nil up. Birmingham two up with former Hibs full back Murphy with a peach of a free-kick apparently.
  6. Fulham, Newcastle, Notts Forest, Bolton, Norwich and Huddersfield.
  7. Lets all hope that Aberdeen do not become defendant on him.
  8. It appears that Judge will be brought in on loan and not on trial. Hopefully this will give his legs a long stretch.
  9. Tynecastle for me! Right on top of the game and brilliant atmosphere! Not been to Tannadice yet.
  10. Out of the ones I have been too (Parkhead, Ibrox, Tynecastle, Easter Road and Caledonian Stadium) Parkhead and Caledonian Stadium have to be the worst. Parkhead is truly an awful stadium for away fans for reasons already mentioned and the Caledonian Stadium has no atmosphere with shite home fans.
  11. In/oot: Oot Prematch: Firstfooting Match: Trying to get regular updates Postmatch: Firstfooting Prediction: 1-0 Dons
  12. Seems Brown is keen to bolster the threadbare squad anyway possible which is certainly not a bad thing. This signing doesn't put me up or down but if he is able to come into the team and do a job then welcome aboard! Hopefully a few more experienced players can be added to the squad aswell. Either way it will keep Clarke Robertson out of the team who just isn't ready to be playing regular first team football yet.
  13. Christ on a bike. What a car crash of a thread. Paul Hartely offers us plenty on the park. When we were on the dreadful run that eventually got McGhee the sack, we were being overrun in the midfield and full back positions which had the tendency for Hartely to become somewhat swamped with other peoples jobs and thus, had a tendency not to be seen and somewhat allowing the game to pass him by. However, with a manager now in place that has got us organised and a much more stable unit than the one under McGhee, this brings out the best in Hartely. His dead ball deliveries are very good including his penalty taking, his passing range is also very good ranging from short to long raking passes and he can also pop up at the right time with a goal. Millertime, I don't know what you expect Hartely to do or whether you expect him to be making lung bursting, mazy runs to score goals akin to Gareth Bale but he does what he is expected to on the field, a calming and inspirational leader who keeps it simple and is always driving his team forwards. Yes he is not the fastest, but he should be the first name on the team sheet. Without a doubt, one of the best captains of AFC in recent years. To be labelling him as a 'passenger' in our team is ridiculous IMO.
  14. Booth was slating him for not holding the ball long enough to allow players such as Maguire, Jack and Aluko to get round him and do something creative.
  15. I like Vernon. Certainly knows where the goal is which is what we've been crying out for since Stavrum. Although he does have a tendency to drift in and out of games but is always willing to come back and help out the team when defending if need be. Far more effective than Lee Miller IMO. I think it was Liam McLeod commentating on the radio saying 5 minutes before he scored that Vernon was having a shocker!
  16. I use Firefox and this also happens to me.
  17. Just started reading 'Round Ireland With A Fridge' by Tony Hawks. Read all his other books and thoroughly enjoyed them so expecting to enjoy this book.

    Films

Anyone seen Into The Wild? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758758/ It was on Film 4 on Wednesday night but I only caught it half-way through. Very good film about a story I had never heard of and quite interesting.
  20. He won the Champions League for Liverpool you know?
  21. Good. I despise Lennon with a passion. And I do like Alexei Eremenko, cracking player.
