  1. Don't worry, I was just doing a spot of fishing!
  2. Thinking out of the box here, how about Richard Gough? I know he's a hun through and through but he did well with Livingstone and may be the cheap, young manager option we might be looking for. Could certainly inspire the team and maybe get Diamond back to something that resembles a football player!

I'm heading to Rileys I think for a throw of darts the night and then I have a shitey uni thing I can't be arsed with on Saturday night. Be also studying in among that!
  4. I think this is a difficult one. On the one hand, yes you can lay the blame at the players doors for not giving a fuck, robbing a weekly wage from AFC, spunking it in Tiger Tiger on a Saturday night and not performing to their expected/desired ability. On the other hand, you can blame our former manager for our current inadequacies, for not motivating the team, not weeding out these players and taking the appropriate action against them, not cuddling them like big bairns or for just not having a good enough team in place. In my own personal opinion, it is somewhere a combination of both. Our manager has now gone but I still believe that this squad IS better than what it is showing. I also believe that what can be construed as a lack of effort is actually a lack of clue of how to play and organisation which stems from the management team. I wouldn't be stunned at all if this sacking has given the players the kick up the arse they desperately needed but also I believe that 'Jimmy's boys' are not in fact his boys, they are professional footballers who have lost their way, much like the entire squad (who in your opinion, may/may not be 'Jimmy's boys'), under McGhee's tenure.
  5. How can you provide statistics and facts for saying someone is not putting in the effort?
  6. I can't envisage John Collins being a success at Aberdeen given that he fell out with the Hibs players over his hardline stance and training methods didnt he? If McGhee's tough training sessions and methods didnt have the desired effect of the players then I doubt Collins would.
  7. Last I heard Graham Rix is coaching youngsters at Glenn Hoddle's training centre in Spain. Worth a look?

Cool photo. What kind of camera did you use?
  9. I wish I was going! Could be a christmas cracker of an AGM!
  10. With all this talk of Craig Brown/Archie Knox, would we not have to pay Motherwell compensation to get them? What contracts are they on? I'm not advocating my support for them, seeing their names mentioned just got me wondering.
  11. Steve Clarke wouldn't be too bad an option and not one to be dismissed too readily. IMHO. May bring a bit different methods to the club and given that he was an assistant manager/coach at Chelsea and West Ham, he may be able to get the best out of the players at training. Might also be the man to get a bit of reaction from the players given that he worked with big names and players at Chelsea. He could also phone up his mate Jose and ask him for a couple of loan deals! Although he has no experience as manager in his own right so would be dodgy giving him the job when we seem to be looking at more experienced men.
  12. Whoever we get, we need to get back to basics asap! Get the defence and keeper sorted oot and make us hard to beat again! I don't think Jocky Scott would be a bad appointment at this moment in time, even temporarily.
  13. A win percentage of 27%. Deary me. He should count himself lucky he lasted this long!
  14. Jeeso. Big development and the right decision. Sounds like he has left rather than been sacked which is a good thing! It didnt work out for him and whilst I express my disappointment at that, he was a dead man walking after the Parkhead debacle. It was time for him to go. According to the website, it sounds like we are looking for an interim manager....

What a nightmare. Trying to get back up to Aberdeen from Glasgow and it is proving very fucking annoying. Didn't really trust the roads so decided not to go with any buses and bought a anytime ticket for the train. Now either trains are delayed from Perth or just not running! Argh!
  17. This is, officially, McGhee's Aberdeen. If you are not with us, you are against us.
  18. Lets not beat around the bush, along with Hamilton and St. Mirren, we are in a serious relegation battle. I don't see how this will change without changing the management team. It hasn't worked out. Just please leave Mark. We have been rubbish and McGhee has proved to be totally incapable of changing it round.

Im currently in Glasgow, snowing quite heavy fae here! Harcus is having a grand time, left Glasgow at 9 this morning and no reached Perth yet!
  20. Just seen on BBC Sport that if West Ham lost at home to Wigan, they will be the first team to be relegated? Surely thats no right? EDIT: It's not!

    Films

Me neither. Think I've seen the first two films and then just watched The Deathly Hallows a week ago. No been a big fan of the films, give me the books anyway! Anyone seen Unstoppable yet? I quite like Denzel Washington so was going to go and see this. That 127 hours looks a very good watch too.
  22. Fair play to those that are heading to this game! Hopefully we can scrape a result against an impressive Killie. Mixu seems to be getting something different out of Killie this season. However, Eremenko is a class player and with Sammon on a hot run of form, this is a difficult time to play them. I'm not too confident of getting the win! COYR!
