  1. I don't mind the new Take That stuff. Edgy. I like that. Couldn't agree more. Just listening to a bit of Nirvana!

Going to be trying to get a lot more done on the essay's I have than I am currently doing the now. Provisionally organised to go for a couple of pints on Sat night but thats the height of the excitement for moi.
  3. I'll believe that when I see it....
  4. Is Nish not a very similar type of player to Kyle?
  5. Thats a bit harsh is it no? Dodds is one of the best strikers this club has had. Would chop off an arm to have a player that has half the ability that Dodds had playing for AFC today.
  6. I dont know about MacLean. I think he would do well as an out and out penalty box striker, with the right service, however this service has been awful and I don't think we have seen the best of him. He has been forced to drop deeper in order to try and win the ball and start an attack. I dont think we're seeing the best of him when he has been forced to do this. If he goes, then so be it. Won't lose any sleep but I think he has the potential to be a good goalscorer at AFC.
  7. Put £5 on Villa, Munich, Ayr and Dundee at 15/1.
  8. So he's got one more attribute that most of the other first team players dont. For each inept display, there are a solid, if unspectacular one to match it. Take Falkirk on Saturday. AFC are not in the position to be out buying 2 players for each position, hence why versatility is so important. Duff offers us that where he can play anywhere across the back four and the midfield four. He certainly wouldn't be in my starting eleven or anywhere close to it, but he is a decent option to have on the bench or to call upon if injuries and suspensions affect the starting eleven. He's won't be on a superstar wage either, I wouldn't imagine. Despite being out in the cold for most of this season, he has knuckled doon and and showed plenty of fight and determination to get back into the position he now finds himself, two qualities that have been found to be in short supply this season.
  9. Offers versatility and a decent squad player. Can play in a number of positions and thats important in the present climate. Did well against Falkirk on Saturday, and not a bad option to have on the bench.
  10. Christ, Mulgrew in the Premiership. You would have thought Newcastle of all teams would have realised you need a strong defence?? O'Brien would be an excellent signing!
  11. Thats fair. We did what we had to do and we're perfectly entitled to do it. It's no like we were rolling around on the ground, wanting a physio on etc. Keep it up in their half and see out the game.
  12. How? I can't think of many instances. Maye Langfield holding onto the ball for a few seconds longer at the end but thats about it.
  13. Not too bad a first half, got the goal which settled a lot of nerves. Then second half, just seemed to grind it out and battled hard! A refreshing and welcome change! Got the 3 points, thank fuck! I thought Ifil and Duff Man were our best performers! Ifil finally showed some awareness and some strength, both of which have seemed to be missing for so long. Duff Man was solid in defence and had a very good game. Don't agree with Kow who I thought Kerr battled hard and generally played alright. Young showed plenty of fight and played well in the middle, and his celebration just showed how he feels about the club. Pressely can get to fuck! I can't think of one instance of what he called 'spoiling tactics'. Prick. I hope you and your shite club gets relegated. P.S - That Showunmii lad is one of the biggest cunts I've ever seen! Brilliant when Duff man battered him into the advertising boards!
  14. Langfield Foster Diamond Considine Auko Maguire Pawlett Paton Fyvie Grimmer Megginson As BB said, would be tempted to keep Duff as a squad player as he offers a certain degree of versatility but would sacrifice him for someone better who plays in one or two of his positions. Maguire I would keep as I would like to see him given a prolonged run starting up front and see what he can do. Young and Mackie, good servants to the club but time to part amicably and wish each other all the best for the future. I thought long and hard about Mulgrew but aside from him leaving this summer, what does he actually contribute to the team? Always a danger from set-pieces, however his defending is suspect most of the time and he has never excelled when pushed into a midfield role. Saying that I would probably keep him given the chance.
  15. Don't think I can criticise Shearer in anything he has said there. Agree with him totally.
  16. If we can avoid relegation, see what signings/departures are made in the summer and then give him appropriate time next season. If results/performances haven't picked up then it's a cheerio Mark and if they have, then long may it continue.
  17. He seems to be contradicting himself at every turn. A few weeks ago he said relegation fears were ridiculous, now he is saying there no and we need to make sure we're no dragged into a relegation battle. Before that, he was saying the team/squad would take time and he would have though they would have been doing better at this stage, now he's saying that the team is where he thinks they should be. But it's alright because it's all part of his masterplan!
  18. Probably. Another £160 odd quid doon the drain! What else am I going to do every second Saturday afternoon?!
  19. I've never been a fan of giving as long as players want in order to decide where they want to go. If they do stay, it's their last choice and more often than not, they don't stay and leave us scrabbling about for replacements. Be hard and be fair. And to give as much time to McDonald and Kerr is an absolute joke anyway.
  20. I agree with the ex-Naval officer. Far too much abuse is thrown about on so called 'friendly' forums and messageboards, if it was in person it would be up in court. Well done him for standing up for himself and taking no shit. Hope he gets what he deserves, justice.
  21. What with having the same shoe size an all, we could easily do that! Maybe we could sniff each others too, you know, really get a feel for it.
