  1. Ken. I joined but never heard anything more since.
  2. Just got into Aberdeen this morning and think I will be heading to the game. Not too sure about this one as it looks like Hearts have come into a bit of form at the minute!
  3. :lolabove: First time I've ever LOLd at a spelling mistake! 1:30 in!
  4. Having not been at the game, I think that it's ridiculous highlights of the sending off.
  5. It highlights the lack of talent we have had at left back, before Foster is anywhere near a 'team of the decade'. I assume many people would put Hart at right back and then switch McNaughton over to left back.
  6. In a perfect world, I would have loved if it Anderson would not have played for any other SPL club. However, football is a business and a short career. For Russell, it is a good move. Hibs sitting comfortably 3rd and able to pay wages that apart from Hearts and the OF, nobody else can pay and at the stage of his career he is. He will always be a Aberdeen legend for me and such is the professionalism of the man, I'm sure he will give his all for Hibs and conduct himself in a positive manner on his return to Pittodrie.
  7. I am sure that is putting too much expectation on young Fyvie to come immediately back from injury to walk straight back into the side. He is only 16 for christs sake!
  8. Good news. Hopefully in the next few games, he can show us what he's made of in his preferred position.
  9. There seems to be an element of snobbery towards Calderwood all together. Strange given that he has done well at both SPL clubs that he has been too.
  10. Hopefully Paton will be given 3 games starting as striker.
  11. I dont quite understand your point. It's the naughties. In that period of time (2000-2009), Anderson, without a shadow of a doubt was the best defender and arguably the best player. Nobody even mentioned him being the
  12. I would have said transitional in the sense, that we have changed the manager who obviously has his own ideas on how he likes to play football and what players he wants in his team. He didn't get players he would have liked in the summer transfer window, hopefully he will add to the squad in the Jan and summer transfer window and become a sucess at Aberdeen. This season cannot be named transitional in the sense that we have lost players and they have not been replaced because quite frankly, that is quite simply not true. I am not happy with things on the pitch as it is uninspiring and unentertaining, yet I am willing to reserve judgement and try to keep an open mind until a later date. However, there quite simply HAS to be activity in the transfer windows starting in January.
  13. I have said and will say again that I believe that this season is a transitional season, with McGhee trying to flog the dead wood in the squad and bring in a few players that he believes will suceed at the club. However, nothing so far this season (Rangers game and the first 25-30 mins against St Johnstone an exception) has suggested to me that this is a transitional season. With every passing week, I am questionining my opinion as every week there seems to be no, if any progress that I can see. If anything it seems we appear to be going backwards. Hopefully activity in the January transfer window will change this, however I'm not confident as the Jan transfer window is never a good time to do business. Suspensions have had a damaging effect on the ability to name a settled squad and apart from injuries to important first team members such as Diamond and Aluko, possibly Fyvie, we have had no injuries to key players. I hope that it gets no worse before it gets better but by now, professionals should be at least reacting to McGhees methods, yet there seems to be no evidence of this. It can be easy blaming the results/performances on the lack of a goal threat, but quite frankly that would be taking an easy way out. Blinkered.
  14. Not looking forward to todays game.
  15. And a cracking assist! A jack of all trades, master on none. A poor mans Chris Clarke if you will. But all the best to him, no doubt given 100% everytime he played.
  16. Feck sake. I always think that the atmosphere suffers as a result of the early kick off times. Although I do like being able to watch SSN later on in the day!
  17. I should have said - quite frankly, I'm happy for no team to finish any higher than third, until Aberdeen do it.
  18. I also read that and this bit made me chuckle
  19. Quite frankly, I'm happy for no team to split the Old Firm until Aberdeen do it.
  20. Thats because he is most likely not an AFC fan and came on here for a spot of good ol' fishing. Ssssssshhhhhhhh. http://image.guim.co.uk/Guardian/sport/gallery/2007/nov/08/1/GD5242472@Barcelona%27s-French-st-7646.jpg[/img]
