  1. I wonder if Hamann will be able to provide the service Batistuta will be wanting.
  2. From the sounds of it, he has just been signed as an emergency cover with the Europa deadline in mind. Very much doubt he will actually play in many games.
  3. I see the losers of the Scottish Cup Final put another sterling European performance in.
  4. I bought it a couple o days ago. Missed out on the early bird deal costing me an extra £20! Hopefully get down for the first game of the season and it is an added bonus that you get priority for Europa games.
  5. It's Easier To Walk Away. Aberdeen are just crying Crocodile Rock tears.
  6. I can't help thinking that AFC have as much chance as a Candle In The Wind.
  7. Are you saying that there are not plenty of managers who have spent more than three years at a club?
  8. Plenty. Very poor attempt to justify McGhee's fairly nomadic career as a manager.
  9. I'll be happy with signing a central defender, playing a good level of football and maintaining the league positions over the past 5 years. If we're given some luck with a cup draw then progress in that, is a must. I'm happy to wait for a season for signs of real progress.
  10. He has certainly changed my opinion on him. For the past season and a half, I thought he was the worst player I have ever seen, did nothing with the ball, looked way out of his depth, too lightweight, a lot of attitude and mouth and little football ability to back his ego up. However, he has changed that opinion with some of his performances in the latter part of last season. Tracking back, attitude, and general footballing ability seemed to come on leaps and bounds. Just hope he keeps on improving!
  11. Thank christ this has finally been doone and dusted. Now for the next job, of strengthening the squad.
  12. Unfortunately, he actually can't. It's fucking tedious.
  13. It certainly appears so - 606: DEBATE Well the Mixu haters have their way - I think he deserved a further season to get his own men in BBC Sport.
  14. Hibee friend of mine saying that his tactics were absolutely baffling. Did nothing of note with Hibs so it's a no from me. I think, even mentioning Paatelinen, indicates the lack of real quality of the candidates mentioned so far.
  15. Lee Richardson throws his hat into the ring. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/aberdeen/8073561.stm Richardson interested in Dons job Former Aberdeen midfielder Lee Richardson Richardson played over 60 times for the Dons in the early 1990s Former Aberdeen midfielder Lee Richardson has confirmed to BBC Scotland that he is interested in the manager's job at Pittodrie. The 40-year-old left his post as manager of English League Two club Chesterfield in early May after two seasons in charge. "My CV is on its way to Aberdeen and they should receive it in the next couple of days," said Richardson. "I am sure there'll be a lot of applications as it's a great job." Richardson spent two seasons at the Dons from 1992 and was a member of the side that finished runners-up to Rangers in every domestic competition his first campaign. After leaving the north-east, he went back to his native England but returned to Scotland for a brief spell at Livingston in 2000. His next port of call was Chesterfield, where he eventually stepped up to the manager's position in April 2007. But his contract was not renewed at the end of the season after the team was unable to make a promotion play-off spot. Aberdeen director of football Willie Miller says the Dons are examining an "extensive list of quality candidates" for their managerial vacancy. Motherwell manager Mark McGhee and Wigan assistant Eric Black, both former Dons strikers, are among the favourites to take over at Pittodrie. Another former Dons striker, Dean Windass, has expressed an interest in a return to Pittodrie, but the club are unlikely to put their trust in a managerial novice, while Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock has been linked with a return to Scotland.
  16. All I was pointing out that before fans jump on his back, that it is the Daily Ranger, I'm sure what JC does say can be easily twisted in order to make a fuss etc etc. I do agree with you on all points though.
  17. His name was mentioned as being held in high regard by the Aberdeen board. Source - BBC Radio Scotland.
  18. I am getting increasingly worried by the fact that Jim Jefferies and John Hughes are still being mentioned.
