  1. I don't trust JC in the media and I don't trust the media (especially the Daily Ranger) with JC!
  2. No problem. I'll sleep easy knowing that I don't have to get 'bites' on a forum to make me feel better.
  3. Your pathetic.
  4. If your sending out PM's, PM me sil vous plait! I didn't call you tosser!
  5. Just the very words 'John Hughes', 'Yogi' and 'Aberdeen Football Club' should not be in the same sentence.
  6. Boring. Disgrace. Pathetic.
  7. Been watching the SPL review on BBC Sport with Richard Gordon and Pat Nevin?
  8. So you want John Hughes in as manager?
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/aberdeen/8068943.stm
  10. Hughes also doesn't speak pish to the media like that buffoon JC did.
  11. Just think if we get Hughes!
  12. I could argue with some of the more ridiculous comments that you have kindly said Stoney, but then it's what your fishing for and it would be like arguing with a brick wall.
  13. Ricky Sbragia? - No. I think by all accounts, he is more a part of the back room staff and prefers it that way. Kevin Blackwell? - Not seen enough of him. Joe Kinnear? - No! Aidy Boothroyd? - Again, not seen enough of him but did relatively well with Watford I believe.
  14. Severin for me. Special mention to Vidal and Mulgrew who I thought played very well on either side. Aluko and Pawlett also had good games. 2-1 flatters Hibs. JC - good shout.
  15. The only downside being that if he does get a new contract and play like he did before the split!
  16. On the basis of his performances against Hearts and Hibs (I wasn't at Ibrox), very few. The real Scott Severin was there for all to see and he has played like a real captain. Absolutely magnificent performances and a message to those (me included) that said his legs were gone. Although, I still believe that Kerr/McDonald are a good partnership in the middle. Would rather see the funds that we do have, contribute towards other areas of the team, mainly right back and centre back.
  17. In my view, we have the spine of a good team, which needs minor tinkering. I don't think we need 4 defenders coming in, we need a good right back (Vidal played excellent yesterday) and a partner for Diamond. Considine can act as back-up. Yes, there are questions over Mulgrews defending at times but I believe he will steadily improve. Our current team is the fourth best in the league. However, with Severin and Smith definitely going, we need to strengthen. McDonald and Kerr are solid in the middle, Aluko on one wing and on the evidence of yesterday, Pawlett is ready for more involvement with the first team. We have a strikeforce of Miller and Maguire, yet any strengthening in this area, requires Wright and/or Mackie leaving. Paton took his goal well at Ibrox and is one for the future. Goalkeeping wise - Langfield, in my opinion, is the best goalkeeper in the league outwith the OF. I am not getting into an argument with you, over the way JC has spent money, his achievements etc etc. Just don't spout bile about this non-existent JIG group and how they might not give the new manager patience.
  18. Absolutely not a chance. After reading comments on Owen Coyle by Burnley fans, after a BBC blog, many were saying he is the best manager they have had for 50 years. Seen as a God by many down there.
  19. Why would he need two years to get the show on ther road? You can't compare the new manager with Calderwoods tenure as there are significant differences. Calderwood came to us at a time where we were reguarly flirting with relegation and our club was in a poor state. The new manager will have the best part of the summer to assess the squad and stamp his own playing ideas and style on the players. Yes, there will be minor tinkering involved but surely this is a completely different scenario from Calderwoods first couple of years? As for the JIG - complete fabrication. Something that the JMG mob created in order to counter anyone who dared to disagree with them. No doubt this JMG/JIG horseshit will continue for years to come, and the same old arguments will continually come up, in order to counter any differing opinions. As for the fans having patience?! Pot, kettle, black. For those who have continually called for JC's head after a defeat (you included, Stoney), take a look at yourselves before telling me that I won't have the patience for a new manager.
  20. None of the names being banded around at the minute, fill me with just any great optimism.
  21. Feck off! Calderwood came in and was immediately shocked by what poor shape the stadium walls etc was in and so immediately got a painter to give the stadium a bright new paint over. A symbolic show of a fresh start if you will.
  22. Why would that be then lad? Because Aberdeen had been in the doldrums for years? Calderwood came in and significantly turned this club around for the better. He came in, painted the stadium, renewed optimism, installed a determination and made Aberdeen into a hard to beat outfit, he started to turn around the whole playing staff and made Aberdeen football club, a respectable outfit again. If it hadn't been for Calderwood and Nicholl, then christ knows where Aberdeen would be today. He has attracted a number of quality players to this football club, all of which have contributed significantly to the club and the good times of Calderwood's reign which will be remembered by fans. Calderwood changed and improved the side and the club year after year and has now left the club in a healthy position with European football on the horizon and a playing staff which, far from the complete overhaul which was required when he arrived, is in need of some minor tinkering. Calderwood brought this club from it's knees and has provided the next manger a very healthy position to build upon.
  23. I have gotten the impression of the constant doubters (see JMG) of Strachan's ability to manage Celtic. Done well at Celtic and CV significantly enhanced and highly regarded in England. Also got the impression, ever since the Hearts job last summer, McGhee has been waiting for another bigger club to come calling as his CV was enhanced after his first season at Motherwell.
  24. I personally find the behaviour of this JMG mob, a total and utter fucking disgrace to the city of Aberdeen, Aberdeen FC and to the other fans of Aberdeen FC. Patting themselves on the back for a 'job well done' whilst also celebrating JC's achievement of getting into Europe is so utterly cretin like, it is beyond belief. 30 or so 'supporters' standing outside the Main Stand for 30 minutes with A4 bits of papers DOES NOT decide an important business decision. No doubt they will be celebrating European ties next season and for that, they can thank Jimmy Calderwood and Jimmy Nicholl. No doubt it will be twisted as to this group of supporters, were actually the ones to thank as they said this to that person over there who believed that this player should be played here and in a 4-4-2 formation. Give yoursel's peace. This lot is so utterly up their own arses, that they can not see the bigger picture and applaud the job that JC has done. And why? Because of a childish disliking to him. They cannot for once give credit where credit is due and instead, would rather inflate their already massively inflated egos of themselves and their opinions. Instead they will celebrate European football and will not rest until McGhee is the new manager, singling him out as someone who plays total football and in no doubt, is the saviour of Aberdeen Football Club. Calderwood's achievements at this club has never been good enough for them and will never will be. Patting each other on the back is more important that applauding the work of, perhaps, one of the most important managerial appointments, in this clubs history. Well boys, the grass is not always greener on the other side and I hope, for your sake and the sake of fellow fans, that the next manager is not a 'fat orange tango hun'.
