  1. That photo tho. Ebbe being one of my all time favourite managers (solely for his character) standing next to D'Jaffo who was supposed to be the new Dadi ... TBF it was universally understood that the old Dadi was also gash
  2. Why not? If football is truly about football, and religion isn't a part of the equation, then it shouldn't matter what day each team plays. Regardless, I'm sure the catholic churches of Glasgow would love to welcome 60,000 patrons through their doors, but alas I'm pretty sure many Celtic fans have never stepped foot in a church
  3. Sokler has ability. He's no Miovski, but he has a keen eye before goal, scoring the odd pearler. Ambrose ... has he got something on Cormack? Is that why he gets games ahead of Boyd? He had a great header on target vs QP ... but I think that's more him playing vs his level, rather than him being good enough.
  4. Being honest, I'd much rather get the Huns Without Busfares in the semi than Celtic. I'd rather we had ANYONE but Celtic. Any Premiership team is perfectly capable of beating each other, which is what you want in a cup game. But it takes the Celtic team to have an increasingly-rare collective day off for any team to stand a chance, such is the gulf in resources
  5. Polvara is the one of those id like to see on the field. He's solid, decent, has developed heeeeeaps since he arrived. Sokler is okay, has spectacular goals under his belt, but they're all to scarce - he's basically what you get when you order a Miovski from Wish
  6. You totally missed Dorrington being anywhere near the matchday squad
  7. Dunno if it's the same in all westernised countries. But there's a section of the currently emerging generation of adults in Australasia who seem to ignore social class positioning, there is a growing tendency to ignore discrimination based on your current social class. Possibly the only exemption in this is those brought up with a silver spoon in their mouth, cos they still stuck to their own. Whether this also exists in USA beneath the political comedy gala that the rest of the world gets to see pretty much everyday on TV or not ... I'd love to know.
  8. Queens Park have nothing to lose in this game. I reckon they'll score the opener in the first 20 minutes, then we will take control and go on to win 5-1 Press will still headline with "Dons progress despite scare" Nisbet x2, Gueye, Jensen, Shinnie
  9. So what's the deal with Lewis Carroll? What are the swathes of rich English suitors seeing that we aren't?
  10. Hibs are certainly the most likely for 3rd if they continue their current form. Arabs whilst not playing badly have found results hard to come by. Same goes for us, and our defence is still suspect at crucial moments. Celtic are the only ones in the league that are almost guaranteed their wins, everyone else is very beatable. So between now and end of season, only Hearts are still to play celtic twice. It really is anyone's game for 3rd, and I wouldn't fancy anyone's chances in Europe next year, such is the shite on show this season
  11. TBH i forgot he played for us. If he really wants to see what "dislike" looks like from the Red Army, maybe he should have a chat to Wright and Barron
  12. Would've been easier if Killie hadn't dropped their pants for their bretherin midweek. Still technically possible to get 2nd, but points-wise we go into the Arabs game closer to 12th than 2nd
  13. Imagine if Mexico decided they were gonna reclaim Texas, and the rest of the world told Trump "come back when you're ready to talk about peace"
  14. Millwall reminding the world the absolute cretins that they are at Selhurst Park. Palace won 3-1 against Millwall, but Millwalls keeper Liam Roberts took Palace striker Mateta out with a flying kick to the face. Mateta was out for aaaages and had to be taken to hospital. The FA apparently can't do anything about the Millwall fans chanting "hope he dies" https://youtu.be/OD2mlmqAYPg?si=udOdaKIv65FMMN32
  15. Kinda feels a wee bit like when we nabbed Severin from Hearts cos we could offer him what he wanted ... although it was at a time when Hearts were in financial turmoil. Hibs have just had their debts cleared by Ian Gordon's family,
  16. Have to wonder whether Jimmy opted to rest Mitov whilst he continues his recovery, knowing that this would've been a game where celtic were likely to be quite physical on whoever was in goals for us. A bit disappointed with the score, but not surprised by the result. This was always gonna be a tall ask of a team who were still on an absolutely diabolical run only 3 weeks ago. Just hope this result doesn't do anything to their confidence
  17. Currently hiring: Rangers manager Experience Required: If youre an ex-player and a radio pundit, we'd like to hear from you. Dont worry if you think you're not experienced enough for the role, we offer on-the-job training. Job comes with fantastic perks including: taking care of your tax returns; entertaining sing-songs with live musicians; drinking on the job; face painting; we'll even turn a blind eye to any criminal convictions you have
  18. I heard it could be Barry Fergus-hun and Neil McCann until the new 49ers deal goes through. That would be fkn hilarious. Collectively they've got a 41% win-rate, but down into the low 30s% when you remove Kelty Hearts. Fergus-hun also filed for bankruptcy a few years ago, so he will be in familiar territory at Ibrox
  19. Apparently it's gonna cost them ~£1.2M to sack him. I thought he was doing a great job
  20. And how the f is that news?
  21. Either way, its a potential banan skin. Queens Park have just beaten the former second tier winners (i would've expected more from such a prestigious club against Scotland's newcomers). Or the potential bananaskin of a rudderless Wales who are in their worst ever world ranking position. It's these sorts of games both Aberdeen and Scotland loves to lose
  22. There's news around that SF 49ers' investment wing is expected to close out a takeover of The Rangers 2012 FC, including all debts owed to John Bennett, by June this year. The deal is expected to be similar to that which saw them takeover Leeds Utd two years ago
  23. What happened? I read that article, but it's not plainly clear what it was that the family were aggrieved about. Was the funeral too focussed on Jimmy's footballing life?
  24. I watched the highlights of the Killie StJ game. They look handy, the lad Wales especially - he peppered shots at goal at every opportunity. And the lad Murray scored an absolute screamer of a free kick that was second only to Keskinen's belter. But they were up against the worst StJ team I've seen in years. I'm cautiously optimistic we can get a result here. Won't be easy, but I'm going for 3-2 win - Gueye, Nisbet, Jensen
  25. Shinnie for me has at most a season left in him. I don't think that warrants captaincy on its own. Anderson was different, as he was still playing to a high standard when he retired. Shinnie is still magic but only in glimpses. I'm of the view the captain needs to be in this order (a) dominant, (b) consistent, (c) experienced, (d) an outfield player, (e) scottish. I'm not too fussed about (e) so long as they have the other 4 traits in spades. I was checking whilst writing this, is Joe Lewis really our only season-long non-Scottish captain? Anthony Stewart was captain for the game and a half it took us to figure out he was rubbish, so I'm not counting him
