Anyone remember Keskinen when we played HJK? He looks good in those videos, but the defenders he was up against were absolute gash. Mind you, most of the Scottish Premiership defenders are absolute gash, so he may do very well. If we can have two wingers terrorising like the good ol days of McGinn-Hayes, I'll be very happy. Just wish we weren't expecting Bojan to go soon, cos he'd love these new guys
-
He said he had aspirations for first team management, but admitted the Aberdeen job was a step too big too soon for him. The Raith job could be perfect for him
-
For me, the worst was Dodds PLUS cash for Winters. I would've loved to see both line up for us, but Winters never lived up to his early Arabs promise. Scored a lot from the spot, but incredibly lazy in open-play

Hibs confirm Hoilett has signed with them on a 1 year deal. Probably all he has left to give, TBH

St Johnstone v Aberdeen - new season optimism?

We have. £3M from Espanyol. Which was wildly below our valuation. We rightly told them to get in el mar -
Promoted to the most predictable league in the world that has been a two-horse race since 1994. I'd love nothing more than to bin the two ugly sisters and have a Scottish Premier that is contestable between any of the 12 teams in it ... better still, we could just make it 10 teams and bin that annoying split
-
Agreed. Disrespectful wee shite shouldn't have a shirt number in the first 11
-
Espanyol have made a bid for Bojan but we have rejected it, saying it falls way short of our £6.5M valuation of him. I'd value him a bit higher than that TBH. Proven scorer both domestically and in Europe, bit of a playmaker, has 2 years left on his contract. I'd be holding out for £8M
-
I see the Currant Buns are still sniffing about thinking they can sign him. No fucking way. You can see him last season in particular, he loves being a Dandy. If/when he moves, it won't be to either of the Ugly Sisters ... even if they meet our valuation
-
Maybe time to cut Vinny loose. He is clearly a player, as seen when he first arrived with us and then when he went to FC Emmen. The fans still love him and theres clearly a desire from the fans for him to get back to how he was when he first arrived. But he just doesn't wanna be at Aberdeen any more - he couldnt make that more obvious. So cut him loose and put the wages to better use
-
I agree. Having Miovski sitting twiddling his thumbs is no good for us, him or any potential buyers. Get him on from the start against Airdrie and let him loose on our biggest group competitors. Give any scouts even more food for thought
-
Maybe JT is using Levens knowledge of the squad. I would certainly hope he is, given he is the only coach left who has seen this squad from 1 yr ago and has seen how they've played under both Robson and Warnock

Yer determined to get yer old man into the Legends Lounge for a tenner
-
Play both in a 2 man strike team. Get Bojan some more time in the shop window, but give Sokler the confidence of being our new first choice 9
-
This is it. If he played exactly the same way for either of the ugly sisters, they'd command (and get) £15M for him. Despite not having very much quality in the team around him, he still scored 26 times last season. We bought him to allow him to showcase his abilities so that he could move on a few years later. That time is now, and he has proven that he is indeed the real deal both in the Premier League and in Europe. I would hold out for a minimum £8M, but let Bologna and Genoa get into a bidding war for him
-
Haven't been to the Pittodrie hospitality before. Have been to a few lounges at other stadiums though, and they are generally disappointing. You still queue for booze, the food is "funcy" but underwhelming. If you ever get a chance to go into a Corp box however, grab it. No queues for booze, nice food
-
Miovski in the squad. Thelin saying he's been training with the squad all week and is looking sharp. Take note, Duk. This is how you act professionally!
-
Deano was brilliant. Knew where the back of the net was, and there was a period where he and Shearer were our supersubs who were almost guaranteed to roll on and score with minutes left. Dadi however lived off the back of one showboat against Bobo Balde. Quite rightly got ripped a new one by the Red Army when he played for Livi.
-
Anything north of £10M I'd take it. In normal circumstances we would miss a player of Bojan's quality. But seriously I think we have his equivalent in Sokler. Sell Duk for £1 and a packet of sweets, I couldn't care less with his attitude
-
Absolute delusional pish. You seriously think the Huns will get to the final?
-
Current-gen Stavrum - yes please, we could do with a poacher to support Bojan if he stays ... but especially if Bojan moves on Current-gen Kjaer - yes please, we need an old brute who commands the box and flies at saves like his life depends on it. Doohan did well against Livi, but we need to beef up our choice of keepers, assuming we bin Roos Current-gen Guntveit - yes please, we had this in Rama, but haven't replaced him yet Current-gen Solberg - no thanks. He was absolute gash, and we've got more than our fair share of them in our defence already
-
Do they win the award of the shittest travelling support ever? I saw Dons Fan VLog's video of the game on YouTube yesterday, and wee Kian who does that VLog panned over to the away section. I counted maybe 10 Livi fans?

The reason they're looking to bin VAR in England is because these "yes/no" decisions are being blurred by VAR. When everybody in the entire stadium can see that someone is onside, but VAR opts to roll for seven-tenths of a second longer to see a defender now playing the attacker offside AFTER the ball has left the foot of the passer, it really calls the entire system into disrepute. It was supposed to make referees' jobs easier, but instead it has made it even harder when it is spotting stuff that the refs and both teams haven't seen. It either needs to move to a stance of "VAR is only called into use when the on-field ref requests it, or one of the team-captains requests it. Rugby League has a Captain's Call system, where each team captain gets one VAR Check request per match. If the check proves they were right, they get to keep that Captains Call for another incident in the game .... but if the check fails to pick up anything, they don't get any more Captain's Calls in the game. But having this third referee scrutinizing every fraction of a second in the game for stuff that nobody on-field ha seen is just ruining the game.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/czvjpk7gny9o Just read the above article querying whether the Women's Semifinals should continue to be hosted at Hampden given the low attendances recently. For me, it's not about the physical size of the venue, it's about giving players the chance to enjoy the occasion on The Hampden Turf. For many of these players, playing on that surface is the pinnacle of their playing careers. I ran out onto a too grade rugby field a couple of years ago. Didn't matter that there were only a few hundred folk in the stands, it was more about the occasion, getting changed where some of the world's best have changed, running down the tunnel at the start, having some friends and family there to cheers as I ran put, playing on a surface that felt like a carpet under my feet (rather than a coo field that I'm used to). Shouldn't matter about how many turn up, it's the chance to play at the national stadium.

Everyone at Wycombe Wanderererers rates him, must be exactly what we need
