  1. Hopefully we've seen Anderson's obligatory single fuckup of the season. That was aweful for Killie's goal.
  2. Anyone see the match or the highlights of the Ross County vs Caley Thistle match from Friday evening? Crowd was by far the loudest of the SPL weekend ... sounded like a right good derby! Good to see a derby that has a bit of heat for local football rivalry reasons, rather than the other non-football reasons that certain larger clubs use as an excuse
  3. Sad stat really that Langfield has more SPL goals to his name than Vernon this season. REALLY hope Vernon starts bangin them in soon. He looked the perfect foil for McGinn last weekend, so maybe we might see some goals this weekend
  4. Beano, Theo and Stephen Wright ... three players who should've NEVER moved to the huns.
  5. 56th?? Never realise there were 56 nations in the world that were capable of putting together 11 footballers.
  6. I was quite disappointed to see him subbed at HT. Based on his complete inability to handle Fraser's wizardry, I was quite looking forward to Maybury receiving a second-yellow
  7. As the commentary on ESPN suggested, Fraser is just going to have to get used to brutal hacks taking him down because he is a talented winger. It's a sad state of affairs, really. Such a talented player who is worth the admission price alone is given absolutely no protection from the relentless hack tactics from the league's ogre-players.
  8. Aye, the thing that shocked me was that Hibs completely controlled the first five minutes, but we went and scored with our first attack. FANTASTIC piece of skill fae Vernon to get the initial strike in which the Hibees keeper spilled for McGinn. I thought Magennis was inspirational when he came on. When I saw Fraser limp off and him come on, I predicted that we would lose all signs of creativeness. Turns out pretty much everything came from Magennis from that moment onwards. The SPL really is completely open this season for anyone to win!
  9. Each to their own.
  10. My way of figuring out my age when i was young was "take my brother's age and subtract 4". Problem now is I dinnae ken my brother's age. I know I'm in my 30s, but really not sure where.
  11. Was it? I'm nae so sure. Ryan Fraser was defending on the goalline, and Nicky Law never crossed that line until his celebration:
  12. Green (funny name for a hun) is whinging about how some SPL clubs would've voted to keep Rangers in the SPL, had they not been bullied. Bullied by who? The fans, he claims! His evidence? "there was a glint in some of their eyes" Charles, that's not a glint of sorrow. That's tears of joy that the nation's most corrupt football club has been found out and has been properly dealt with by the taxman, by the SPL and by the SFL. Maybe if you put as much effort into beating 3rd division teams as you are whinging about being hard done by, you wouldn't be struggling for wins in the 3rd division, and might still be in the Ramsden Cup.
  13. Well there's one of the batch of kids that emerged in the late 90s (ie McGuire, Mackie, McNaughton, Michie, Clark, etc) who is from Inverurie and one from Kemnay.
  14. Nice one, Beano. Hopefully he signs Mackie and the Kemnay kid makes a good name for himself state-side. Was it Mackie who was from Kemnay? Or was it Chris Clark? The above article says Mackie's fae Inverurie, but I'm sure he's from Kemnay
  15. It's easy to get distracted by just how tight an angle Hignett scored from. But Jess' through-ball must've cut out about five players. When he was on form, Jess was magnificent to watch.
  16. Some numpty hun fan has posted a video on YouTube of their second goal going in. I wonder if he knows the huns got beaten?
  17. Depends how your glass is. Alternative is that we've only lost once in the past eight games!
  18. Aye. Craig Burley dived for one of them, but Big Jim totally psyched Burley out and made him miss.
  19. Mark Perry! Haha, I still mind that cracker of a goal he scored against the Tims. Oh check this video out! Perry's goal was sublime (i remember him trying that same strike the following two games, and the ball ending up in Row Z). Gould's face is a peach after the own-goal. And what an angle from Hignett! I really did have bloody high hopes for the Dons that season - Jess & Hignett destroying all other midfields! Alas, this combination only worked for two games before HeWhoShallNotBeNamed went back on his promise to Hignett:
  20. should be fixed now, and the formatting/smiley options should now be back too. Let me know if there's any issues
  21. I only saw as much of the game as YouTube's highlights showed. But reading some of the match reports, it looks like Hayes and Fraser (the latter in particular) were being cited by Inverness' cavetroll players. Foran was lucky to be only yellow-carded, and Butcher should really have no complaints about Tudor-Jones' smash. Perhaps all the focus put onto silencing Fraser and Hayes distracted the Inverness players from Smith?
  22. Can't believe Butcher is whinging about the red card on Owain Tudor Jones. I suppose, given some of the "tackles" Butcher dished out in his time as a player, events at 1:43 would've been "just a nudge":
  23. He's just as prolific now he's gone as he was when he was here
  24. You forgot Shearer and Stavrum. Most consistent strikers we've had in the past two decades. Two decades? FFS, wthe last prolific striker we had was twelve years ago!
