  1. They declined my application to play in Dazzling Darren's testimonial match?!!!
  2. Watched Chile vs Venezuela in the Copa America today. Farcical goals that Darren Mackie's arse would've been proud of. I was expecting the Copa to be full of typical South American flair. But it's shite - every team seems scared to do anything beyond the absolute basics
  3. and the defeat to Morocco in the 98 World Cup ... "Jim Leighton basically had nothing to do, except for the three times he had to pick the ball out of the net."
  4. Nice to see Pawlett's been on the weights. Looks a bit more solid than he did pre-injury
  5. Probably proof that he got a pair of pretty classy boots whilst playing for Der Hun, and has opted to keep them rather than the rhombus-shaped clogs they dish out at Pittodrie
  6. Narrowminded twats. Foster went on loan to Der Hun, he didn't request a transfer to Der Hun!! We've had plenty of ex-huns play for us and manage us (especially in recent times). Why Foster gets the abuse I'll never know. But like I say, we've got some right twats in our fanbase - as does everyone else. Just a shame these twats have opted to travel to Holland, as they are probably now the majority over there.
  7. Wants to be in the central belt? FFS it's nae exactly as if Aberdeen is a gazillion miles away from the Central Belt. I mean Lee Miller successfully commuted from Perth for three years (albeit a bit too quickly sometimes!). But it's not exactly a Craig Hignett style situation where you're stranded in Aberdeen and your kids are in Liverpool. FFS it's the central belt! I often used to make the journey from Stoney to Edinburgh in 2.5 hours. Oh well, no great loss. As BigAl says, move onto the next target
  8. Yeah I've seen a couple of papers rubbishing the rumours. But as BB states, there's no quotes to back up the claims.
  9. He's an arsehole, especially versus Aberdeen. He's prone to absolute bam-head moments (see Duff tackle, sticking finger up at Dons fans, mooning), but he's certainly decent quality footballer ... certainly of the level we should be looking at (makes a change from the days of Leigh Hinds and Michael Bird). So, the question begs. Would you have Novo at Aberdeen or not?
  10. Preece did not arrive at Aberdeen as a decent keeper. Leighton's coaching turned him into a semi-decent keeper over the space of 3 or 4 years.
  11. Nah http://www.sufc.co.uk/javaImages/8d/c4/0,,10418~3327117,00.jpg[/img]
  12. Same happened with Guntveit. I know plenty of people who slagged him off for apparently doing nothing in his time at Aberdeen. But when he was out with that achilles injury for months, there was a definite lack of bite and precision in the middle of the park, and the service our strikers (ie Winters, Zerouali, etc) received definitely dropped in quality when Cato was out. Welcome back Chris. I had a look on a Plymouth fans site about a year after Clark had left us, and they seemed to like him. Didn't rant and rave about him, but most definitely didn't slate him. Suppose its the same as us really. Hopefully he's matured a bit and his balls have grown a bit now.
  13. On the bench for 158 games, maybe. But he's only really become a first team regular in the past season-and-a-half
  14. My work has booked out an entire cinema in a couple of weeks and we're all off to see TF3. Cannae wait. I dinnae care fit people say about Michael Bay's OTT movies, I love the TF series of movies.
  15. Lets see what Bandy can do with him in training. If he can turn Preece into a half-decent keeper, who knows what he can do with a Columbian internationalist!!
  16. Well, latest papers are saying Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle are also showing interest in Fyvie. I say let them bid against each other. The winner is the one who pays the most. 10mill O.N.O Lets face it, all three clubs are in the Premiership and can more than afford a decent wage for a decent young Scottish midfielder who still has a couple of years left on his current contract
  17. Point being that there's nae many Dons fans who don't consider Fyvie to be our most promising youngster in a long long time. £500k or even £1m for him is insulting.
  18. Would be shit if we accepted a million (or less) for Fyvie. I know his opinion probably counts for shite now, but it's only a year ago that McGhee valued Fyvie at £10million.
  19. You pretend at having friends all the time, don't you?
  20. Maybe we should show interest in Derek Young. That way, Hearts might sign him with urgency too. What's Bryan Prunty up to these days? Reckon he'd be a good Aberdeen Hearts signing too.
  21. Apparently he was MOTM in some intercontinental Nations Cup final between Nigerian U21 and Australia U21. Has been on the books of Charlton, Leicester and West Ham. Lets face it, Aluko didn't exactly have a glowing report-card when he arrived here. But one game (vs Bayern) was all it took to sway most of us!
  22. Completely agree. Whilst the RDU does make a noise, it just goes out to where no ears are, thus sounding shite on the tele/radio. I've said for years we should shift the away fans to the Merkland, make the entire South Stand a home-support stand, and house this other singing section at the corner of the RDS/South.
  23. In true anti-Aberdeen style, the loon is barely oot the door at Pittodrie, and the national manager gives him a cap.
  24. Luis Fabiano ... it was Nicolas Fabiano that we had ... and he was French Patrizio Billio .... and he was Italian
  25. He works for David Robertson?
