  2. Strange thing is, this lad Melville is an Aberdeen fan! It says it all when an Aberdeen fan would rather invest heavily at Dens than watch it get pissed away at Pittodrie
  3. I hear ya. A stack of draws was enough to have me thinking "ooooooh, cannae wait to see the result against those manky Arabs this weekend." Now we've lost I feel like I just cannae be arsed following the results anymore. A win next week, however, would alter that perspective again!
  4. There's two ways of getting into the search function (1) On the buttons at the topleft of the screen you should have Home, Help, Arcade, Search, etc (2) On the top right of the screen just underneath the "DT Arcade" animation, there's a searchbar
  5. Tom Wilson - Only Human any fellow techno-heads remember this classic from about 1992ish?
  6. Can you test the search function now?
  7. Two rear entrances? Sounds like an episode of McCoist & MacAuley. Says a lot about the last time I went shopping in Aberdeen, cos the last time I went through the Trinity Centre, there were three entrances ... nae counting the "thru-the-shop" entrances. There was always Bridge Street, Union Street & Guild Street. And for facts sake, never listen to Grumpian TV! When the shopping centre opened back in the mid-80s, I mind it being on the tele, with Grumpian's own John Duncanson announcing it was called the Trinity Centre cos of the three entrances. Last time I watch the news, pfff!
  8. There's only three entrances (hence the name). One is the main entrance for anyone arriving by train or bus. The second is the entrance to the city's main shopping street. Based on this reasoning, I reckon the Bridge St entrance of the Trinity Centre is probably the quietest of the three entrances!
  9. If I remember rightly, Russell Duncan captained Scotland at U16 level when he was just a pup at the Dons. Look how long he lasted at Pittodrie!
  10. That's the biggest crowd EEP has ever seen!
  11. Super Furry Animals - Ring Around The World
  12. See answer from further up the page, as quoted below ... Let me get to work on this right now to see if I can get it up and running properly
  13. If it were Calderwood, I'd agree with you here min. But McGhee has backed up his threats with real action - Maybe Duff has given himself a lifeline with his performance vs Hearts, but surely Young's days are numbered. And look how sparingly Maguire is being used nowadays too!
  14. Or yer finished yer shopping and yer running for the train ... in which case you don't have time to stop past the shop anyway!
  15. Jimi Hendrix - Fire
  16. International clearance?? Wasn't he born in Dundee?
  17. I have been sitting on the fence with regard McGhee's appointment as Aberdeen boss. I wasn't too thrilled by the appointment, but then again I'm always willing to give every new Aberdeen manager my support. But more recently, he's starting to give me reason to actually like him. He's not showing any favouritism, is happy to stick to a tactic that he knows his players can stick to, and he doesn't seem phased about dropping players who were regulars under Jimmy. Most recently, this is what he's said about Chris Maguire ... a player that has had praised piled on him by previous managers ... for reasons that still seem to escape me. Anyway this is what McGhee has said about Bebo: "I have my reasons for only using Chris sparingly. He has immense potential but still has a lot to do to convince me he is ready to be a regular first-choice player. He has to get fitter and stronger. There a lot of areas he has to work on before he gets what he clearly wants. Another important part in the development of young players is teaching them to take responsibility for their own performances. They can't make excuses or blame other people or systems or even the weather if they haven't done well. If your not playing well you have to recognise that and make extra effort to improve and I told him that." Good on you Mark. It's only taken, what, four years for someone to say this to Maguire.
  18. Well here's hoping the mask gives him the playing qualities of Facundo Sava, Fulham's own answer to Zorro.
  19. I read about the mask but hadn't seen any pics. I was imagining something like this:
  20. Dammit, I did choose the wrong one. There's one where he slams the ball high into the net from within the 18-yard box at Ibrox which I've been hunting for. Absolutely stunning goal!
  21. Okay then. For one team, you get to pick anyone from the 83-84 season squad. For the other team, anyone from the 89/90 squad.
  22. I'm sure I've chosen the right goals! One is at Pittodrie whilst the other is at Ibrox. Take a look at the fans celebrating behind the goal in the first one. Then take a look at the motionless fans behind the goal in the second.
  23. A few drinks now and then is not a problem, imho. When you're as naturally talented as Paul Gascoigne or George Best, by all means have a few if you want. Chances are, you're so good at football that a drinking habit is just going to lower your ability to "marginally-better than the others". But when you're Darren Mackie (yes I know he's an easy scapegoat), then drinking excessively and smoking a lung in the process is not exactly the best idea you've had when it is clear that playing football to a capable and professional level already takes a lot of hard work when you're sober ... nevermind when you've got to counteract all the boozing with even more hard work!
  24. I was having a good look through some of the highlights of the Aberdeen games from around the 1990 season and am still amazed to this day how we didn't win the league with that team. So here's a question for you all ... Do you reckon the 1990 Aberdeen team could've beaten the 1984 Aberdeen team
  25. Yeah long (vodka) overdue. But the proof will be seeing McGhee follow up on his threats. It was one thing from Fergie to ban the players from drinking the night before matches. It was another thing for him to waltz into the pubs and haul the players out by their ears. If McGhee can follow up on his threats with real action, he'll get my vote of confidence. Boozy pissups have been a part of the Dons players' culture for far too many seasons now. Binge drinking and regular heavy nights on the sauce should not be a part of a professional sportsman's vocabulary. By all means, enjoy a few now and then. But not every weekend, guys!
