  1. He's a former ROI U19 and England U20, so I'd be keen to see what he's capable of with those credentials. A loan deal like Aluko and Walker had would suit both parties fine. It would let us see what he's made of whilst not commiting us to a pile of steaming shite for several years.
  2. I had a look on the boston.com website for this picture as that's where it's stored. But I can't find it. TBH it could be NZ, it could be Scotland, it could be the southern tip of Argentina. Who knows!
  3. 482 fans? We brought more than that to our pre-season friendly in Denmark against Farum! This is a club in serious trouble. They can't buy a win. They've got more red cards than a Red Ultras display. They've got the biggest debt in the country. Can't be that long until Romanov says enough is enough, and leaves them in Division 1 with a crippling debt
  4. Can you appeal second-yellows? Or is it only straight reds you can appeal?
  5. Completely agree here. Whilst Ifil's red card vs Celtic was totally deserved, the second yellow for Kerr vs Rangers was NEVER a bookable offense. It was a standard tackle that could've been successful, had no malice in it, and did not stop a certain goal from occurring ... why then did he get booked? Is there no official appeal process we can go through to challenge the SFA refs' decisions?
  6. Interesting note on a certain other non-Dons website suggested that McGhee went to Parkhead with no intention of leaving with anything. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but lest ye forget who his first-choice club was before he came to Aberdeen.
  7. Surely strikers should be our priority at the moment! We've played 14 SPL games this season, but only scored 11 times! That's shocking. Miller 3 McDonald 2 Mulgrew 2 Aluko 2 Considine 1 Maguire 1 That's a pretty pathetic statistic when only one of our recognised strikers has scored more than one goal so far this season! Once we're back to full fitness and suspensions have cleared up, our defence will look pretty fuckin awesome. But even at full strength, our strikeforce is laughable. I think this has to be our primary focus in January.
  8. Yeah, that's what I reckon BB. As I say, with the right mentoring, he could've been a true legend of AFC (and that's saying something, given the caliber of some of our legends!). He had all the ability to match the best that AFC's ever had. He just didn't have the attitude to show that ability when it counted. I was quite happy when he left as he was an expensive player to have sitting on the subs bench. But I'll always thank him for those rare moments of pure brilliance that he gave us.
  9. My favourites were probably his first game vs St Mirren in the CIS Cup, cos it was then that we saw how devastating his attacking-runs were. Also the free-kicks against Motherwell and Kilmarnock in successive weeks.
  10. With the right mentoring, I think he could've been one of the true Pittodrie legends.
  11. You just used that stat up, min
  12. He puts the HATE in HATELY
  13. After that, you'll have a quiet paddle in the sea
  14. Nah, I've had statistic-reporting running on this site since about April/May. Some pointless stats on there, but some of it's useful
  15. Not with that attitude, there won't!
  16. Statistics are like miniskirts. You see, it's now been 53 years since the Old Firm last managed to take maximum points off Aberdeen in a season.
  17. I'm pretty sure Aberdeen accepts both of these kinds of transportation methods ...
  18. Some pointless statistics about the Donstalk users: The past 3 days has seen 773 unique people visit DonsTalk. The average DonsTalker looks at 15 pages on the site before leaving 5% of you are Mac users 41% of you use Firefox The 4th most common website that directs you to DonsTalk is http://www.bestdrugsworld.com 5th most common website that directs you to DonsTalk is http://www.cheap-24h.com/More-cigarettes The 6th most common search term that leads you to DonsTalk is "2009 celeb deaths" 7th most common search term is "adam elmegirab"
  19. Imagine that floating towards you! Awesome!! Is this a chair? Or the horrible result of genetic engineering?
  20. The text-entering area is a WYSIWYG area. Whatever you put in there comes out the other end. I put a whole load of shite in there, and a picture of the 2009-10 Rangers squad came out the other end
  21. Good strong running from Davy Claude Angan for the first goal too! But I like Obiefule's touch to get away from his marker. And very nicely taken goal.
  22. Rougvie was immense. Snelders was immense. Charlie Nic was immense. As good as he was, I wouldn't put Heikennen in the same category as these players. Don't get me wrong, he was good. But I think he was made to look even better than he really was because he had people like Rutkiewicz, Muirhead, Morrison and Hinds in the same team as him. And Pele's comments regarding Skovdahl's wage offers are unfair. Remember, Skovdahl was in charge of the club before, during and after the collapse of ITV-Digital. That collapse was felt right across the UK, regardless of the fact that Scotland was not a part of the ITV-Digital deal. But prior to the collapse, there's no reason why Skovdahl wouldn't have been able to offer £4k deals to the likes of Stavrum, Bisconti and Anderson. But "Pele" was probably too pissed to work that bit out.
  23. I reckon this is an excellent move by McGhee. Hibs continually stick high pricetags on their players and earn decent fees from their sales. Likewise Hearts stuck a stupid price on Craig Gordon, and got pretty much all of that coin when Sunderland came a-calling. If McGhee sticks this £10m tag on Fyvie ... SOMEONE with money to burn is gonna come sniffing. Dons demand high Fyvie feeMcGhee determined to ward off Blackburn interest in teenage starhttp://img.skysports.com/09/11/218x298/Fraser-Fyvie_2379962.jpg[/img] Fyvie: Blackburn link Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee has told Blackburn they will have to splash the cash if they want to prise away teenage star Fraser Fyvie. Reports claim the English Premier League club have been scouting the 16-year-old midfielder, who has made the first-team breakthrough this season. Fyvie has made seven Scottish Premier League appearances this term and the Dons are already trying to agree a new long-term deal with the youngster. McGhee is looking to put Fyvie's contract in line with other first-teamers and warned he would only be going if Blackburn can meet the asking price. "We have got Fraser under contract and we are negotiating to extend that," he said.Protection"That's not only from the point of view of protecting the club's position, but also from the point of view that Fraser is playing in the first team for youth-team money. That's not fair, so we are trying to address that on his behalf. "If Blackburn or anyone else are interested, in the next couple of years we are going to be building a new stadium and £10million would help towards that. "So, if they want him they can have him, I can assure you." Fyvie is currently sidelined by an ankle injury but McGhee does not expect reports of potential suitors to go to his head when he returns to action. "It's all to do with the people around him, what they are telling him and how they are reacting," added the Dons boss. Flattered"But he's a fairly well-earthed boy. He'll read it and enjoy it and I think he'll be flattered. He might get excited. "But he'll hear what I'm saying now and realise he's not going anywhere and that will be the end of it." Meanwhile, McGhee may boost his squad with the signing of Ruaidhri Higgins. The 25-year-old is available on an immediate free transfer from Derry City following their expulsion from the League of Ireland for contract irregularities. "He is a midfield player who is on trial," said McGhee. "As for any decisions, we have not even discussed it. He is training and we're looking at it him, and that's all."
