  1. Me too. Utd invested heavily in players last summer. However, despite us having a shite season by most Dons fans accounts, we still managed to finish above the Arabs! There's not actually that much that has changed this season, other than Seve departing, Ifil coming in, and Kerr becoming captain. If McGhee can figure out when 4-3-3 isn't working and switch to a 4-4-2 in a match, I reckon we should be okay this term.
  2. Unfortunately the money men in the city of Aberdeen who might be tempted to chuck some cash in the direction of Pittodrie are probably put off by the fact that so much money, including potentially lucrative share initiatives, have all been pissed down the drain over the past 15 years. Common ground throughout all these years and all the pissing down the drain is Stewart Milne. But there's the catch-22. Do we keep Milne, our benefactor, and risk losing out on so much investment from money-men who just don't trust Milne? Or do we ask Milne to step down and get new men to lead the club, and risk realising our worst fears that, with or without Milne, there really is nobody interested in investing heavily in Aberdeen FC.
  3. Good choice. My first choice would've been Zander, but Kerr is a very good choice nonetheless.
  4. Got to be Jerel (is it me or does that name sound like the name of some goblin king, or something?) But the only half-decent performance from Consi of late just so happened to come when he was paired with Ifil. Coincidence? Lets have Consi on the bench and make him realise that he's actually got to do something spectacular to get a starting berth this season
  5. Sounds too good to be true. How the fuck did we manage to land this player without Dundee Utd, Hearts or Plymouth beating us to him?
  6. This is Wiggy's club yer talkin aboot, min. Nae more than a haepenny will be available for him. And opened wotsits? Again, on the cheapo side it'll be a bag of scampi fries that's been left open for four days.
  7. Sm "Anyone seen The Crying Game? The one with the woman with a ... with a ... a tadger? What'll be the sequel? A man with a fanny?"
  8. Yeah I'm trying to get to the bottom of the problem right now. Looks like a glitch in the system, as I've already disabled the flood system on the site ... yet heaps of people (myself included) are getting this error.
  9. If only we'd played Hull BEFORE we played Sigma.
  10. I was wondering what would've caused the rapid decline in a player's ability and confidence. And then I read the next bit .... Jeeeeeez. Might as well have Alex Miller as yer boss. I think I would top myself if Malpas was incharge of the Dons.
  11. How did Windass fair when he played for us? Could he still do us a good turn?
  12. Didn't Jeffrey de Visscher have a personal fan site?
  13. I can back that up too. Whilst people have cut back on their after-bill spending, two things that commonly do NOT get cut back on are peoples television subscriptions and peoples broadband connections. Infact, a recent study by Epitiro highlights that international broadband subscriptions are actually on the rise during the recession. People can go to budget food brands and can find cheaper ways of getting to and from work. But when it comes to the crunch, we're reluctant to give up those luxuries that keep our sanity.
  14. I'll say. Shambles on the pitch. Shambles off the pitch. The Sigma matches are definitely to be consigned to history ... NEVER to be brought up again.
  15. Well I love those flares. I think they add an awesomeness to the atmosphere, and would love to see them incorporated more often in matches. And as for the guy who stands with his back to the game, trying to start bounces with 15 year olds ... at least he's trying to get a song going at the games. Pittodrie is a miserable enough place without people telling song-starters to sit down and shut up.
  16. As much as I can't stand the man, if Milne goes, so does Aberdeen Football Club. Let's face it, there's not exactly a queue of millionaires waiting to take over from Milne, is there?
  17. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he's the man who is keeping the banks from closing Aberdeen Football Club down.
  18. I have DIV's "Dead Elvis" album somewhere. Some awesome tunes in there. Favourites are probably Dirt and Rekkit.
  19. Shift+F5 That'll refresh your browser cache.
  20. Glad you like them
  21. Hmmmm, I don't remember him being on trial with us. I do remember him at Hibs
  22. Has he tried searching for the search function?
  23. Just tested, and the search function appears to be working fine. What problems are you having harcus?
  24. True, redordead. He's had ONE competitive match so far. Just so happens that his one match resulted in a resounding loss due to a lack of backup defenders. But we ALWAYS have at least one crazy result a season that keeps the back pages of the Record filled for a week. Whether it be 5-1 against Sigma, 4-2 against Dunfermline, 4-3 against Queen of the South, or 6-1 against Livi. We always have one or two absolutely shocking results per season. Nice to get one of them out of the way early doors. It's just unfortunate that it's in European competition!
  25. fixed
