Doesn't matter who says this, this is a saying that really pisses me off. The game was a lunchtime kickoff for a reason ... it was a live tv game! Nae getting at you in particular Aberdeen_Ladette. But some people seem to think that not being at the game gives you absolutely no right to make comment on any of the day's proceedings.

Game was boring until the last 15 mins. Bit of a midfield battle, tbh. In typical Rangers fashion, too ... they couldnae win it by legitimate reasons so they go and crock our first-choice keeper. Fuckin hun fucks! I thought for them, Ferguson made some defence-splitting passes and Homo was unlucky not to score. But Kenny Miller was laughable, and just about everything Bhouggerra (sp) kicked went into the upper RDS. For us, Lee Miller worked his socks off, but was a victim of being very tightly man-marked for the entireity of the game. Foster was a complete liability. Seve impressed me, as did Mulgrew. I thought Diamond had a very very solid game at the back and Bossu had a couple of shaky moments (dropping the ball after falling over Foster, eg!) but was relatively comfortable in goals after Langfield's face got ripped open by Kenny Miller. Kerr and McDonald looked excellent in midfield. McCulloch should've been booked for gouging McDonald's eye, but McDonald got his own back with a crunching knees-in-the-back challenge on McCulloch just moments later All in all, especially since we had about three chances all day, a point taken from this match is a good result. Just hope United & Hearts don't win so that we can stay in 3rd ... although with them playing Helen Mirren and Caley respectively, I probably expect us to drop to 5th by the end of today.

I mind me and Alfrom headed straight back down to Edinburgh after the game, and straight into our local. Typical, there was a Tim there saying "oh were you at the game? And I suppose you were one of them funny people who wiz throwin snowbaws at wur players". Typical Tim had to complain about something. Couldnt moan that his team had been horsed at the Pitt, so he complained that the snabaz had stones and metal in them. IT'S SNOW! Anybody would think it was shards of glass we were chucking at Petrov and Thompson. Whinging paranoid fake-irish fuckers.

We're LONG overdue knocking a cricket-score past someone. It would be sweet as fuck if we could really do those manky huns by a decent amount of goals so that they've got absolutely fuckall comeback in the papers. I mean, we beat Celtic 4-2 and had a disallowed goal and a disallowed penalty. Yet STILL they whinge about a "dodgy" goal decision. We need to royally trash the currant buns so that the weejia have absolutely no choice but to write something good about us. Either that or devote a half-column towards us 7 pages in from the back of the paper ... just next to the Classified Ads.

So, we're pretty much riding high for the first January since forever. The only stain on our immaculate shirt is Hamilton. Jimmy is being linked with relatively big jobs down south and overseas (the Utrecht job, especially, would interest him, what with his love for everything Dutch). Mackie's being linked with a move. Miller's being linked with a move. Should we cash in? With the debt down to 6million-ish, I reckon now is as good a time as any to really cash in. Let's face it, Aberdeen will not progress whilst this horrible noose of debt is hanging around our necks. Having a club paying hefty bucks for JC and Lee Miller (both have about two-and-a-half years left on their respective contracts) could probably clean our financial slate and then some. Part of me wants to sell them to the highest bidder and get rid of the debt. Why? Because I still have these horrible nightmares about the ridiculous-money bids that were being talked about when Mackie, McNaughton, McGuire and Anderson were breaking through. And what did we get for them lads? Next to nothing, considering their talent (well, Anderson and McNaughton anyway). I don't want us sitting in a relegation dog-fight in two years time, still fielding those players who will invariably decide to want away at the end of their contract and us collect 75k for them. I'd rather collect the megabucks NOW whilst they're hot property. However, part of me doesn't want them to go. That part of me wants the team to stay together, along with the manager and us clear the debt the other way ... with success on the pitch and regular runs in Europe. What say you? Do we sell now and make the most of the players' values whilst they're hot property? Or do we hold onto them, running the risk that they could either take us intae Europe again, or could turn out to be absolutely Derek Whyte and stumble to a top-six finish and leave for nowt at the end of the 2010/11 season?

Yeah bets are at 16/1 for JC getting the job. He's something like fourth-top odds.

52 years since we last failed to take any points from matches against Rangers during a season (according to Archie McPherson anyway!). Dunno what the stats are versus Celtic.
