About Millers Tache

  • Birthday 02/06/1980
  1. Having sat in front of Billy Davies in corporate today, mi'd be surprised if he followed up his interest in our Darren. He wasn't especaially impressed with what he saw. Although, i did laugh when he remarked "that Diamond looks like he thinks he's a player. I'd be surprised if he does anything today." He left as Brown was picking the 4th out of the net...
  2. I'd drop Seve. His legs have gone. The way he was effortlessly outpaced time and again in the second half was embarassing. He's no defender, and i don't think he's as good a holder as Kerr. If he was more mobile he could replace MacDonald in the weekly hiding contest, but he isn't.
  3. See, i thought Foster was quite good today (relatively). The thing that annoys me is the whole "let's retrain him to play right back" pish. He's been playing left back for 2 years. He's right footed (and a striker apparently). Surely right back's the same as playing left back, only using your natural foot instead...
  4. Must admit, i'd Kerr down as our MOTM. MacDonald was practically anonymous as per usual. And as for Bebo... Jesus. That was awful. Why does he feel the need to "jazz hands" at every pass that gets put to him? Thought Miller and Wright looked promising first half, but the second half as a whole was shocking. Special mention to Ricky Foster, who had by far and away his best game of the season. He wasn't great, but at least he wasn't as bad as "one touch/one pace" Captain Seve... Just as last week, when the inevitable "expectations" remark comes from JC in the post match interview pish, i don't expect to win every single game. But i do expect us to be at least as fit as our opposition and to give them a fight if/when they go one ahead...
  5. Keep the gows for at least tomorrow's game. Lob pies into the huns tomorrow and watch the carnage! Use the gows as pest control to rid us of vermin.
  6. Why would they? They don't any other year. And "Big" Martin was sacked last year, so he's out the picture. Maybe it's Sir Fergie and Wenger he's on about now, but i'd assume their kids would be on £11k a week, just like the Spurs ones were...
  7. See, you're right enough Reekie about players needing time to gel, but it was basic shite from players who've been here a long time that cost us on Saturday. Smith should NEVER have been thinking of dribbling the ball at the edge of the box. The fact he was nearer the right wing than the left wing he was playing on was almost as bad. Then, to compound it, you've got Considine, Seve, Langfield (and Mulgrew, but he at least tried to close down both Tokely and the winger Smith had left him with) all missing/leaving the slowest cross in the world. Then you've got Langfield sclaffing what seemed like every single passback. At one point in the second half, he hoofed it about 20 yards right of where he was stood, to 2 Caley players chasing him down and was very lucky to get away with it. Foster could barely find a red shirt if he was put in front of a mirror before kick off and told to look closely at what he was wearing. Basic, basic errors. Errors that no amount of new players disrupting the team could be blamed for. Errors you'd struggle to see in a year of watching Sunday League/Dutch amateur games.
  8. That'll be the only person who thinks it's good news then. Useless bastard.
  9. In the cup game? JDV at Pittodrie, surely?
  10. A fit Jamie Smith will be like a new signing...
  11. Two year deals are a load of shite. You get one good season out of a player, then he leaves for nothing after attracting attention. That said, my level of happiness is high at the news of this signing. A proper, left footed, Scotland U21 capped left back. Hope he works out better than the last full back we signed from Wolves... Is there a fee? I'd be pleasantly surprised if there wasn't, as Swindon had a £150k offer for him accepted last month.
  12. Utter waste of £20. I'd have liked to have come away from there saying how great it was to see such obviously talented players at Pittodrie, but United barely broke out of walking pace, and didn't even need to to comfortably win. Wish i'd gone to the pub and watched it instead. 4 weeks to go? Thank christ.
  13. Steady there R_S, decent player, yes. Promotion to the Premiership level of player? No fear.
  14. Contract up at the end of next season, time to release some stories to the papers to bump up his wages... He's going nowhere.
  15. If he wants to stay, fair enough. But no pay rise on his current deal. Fuck him. "Championship promotion hopefuls"? That'll be the fucking day. I don't grudge him a pay day down south, but if it's a new experience he's after, why not try his luck abroad? Could easily do a job in Serie B, the Eredivisie or somewhere in the lower reaches of the Bundesliga. The Championship? Sorry Barry, you're far too small and have evidently been filled with false tales of your abilities.
