  1. Zander is still growing into the league and still makes some aggregious errors. Though I do not doubt he is our best future player, I put him in the same category as Clark.
  2. Honestly I think there are 4 or 5 guys who can lay claim to being our "best player". On any given daythey all have that right. Severin, certainly gets the nod from me. As do Hart, Maguire, Lovell & Nicholson on their day. Clark IMHO, is definitely under-rated but still has days when he seems invisible on the pitch. I'd like to see him break out this season and show that he is truly of the "this is our best player" stuff.
  3. Mackie & Lovell are both fair finishers. Miller is the tall "win the aerial battles & keepy-uppy set-up man. Brewster leaving is putting us without Grit up front. A Robby Savage type is what we need. But I agree it will come at a heavy price. Anyone know who's left in the transfer market?
  4. Brewster leaving (which is now the worst kept secret in football) leaves us without a physical prescence up front. We need that "don't take liberties with Lovell or I'll..." type. Young, Miller & Mackie don't bring this to the table. On the other hand, A proven poacher would supplant Young and Mackie.... Too many changes here; I must be off my nutt thinking AFC would try anything radical with the window closing this week.
  5. Let's see what the number V the Tims is this weekend...
  6. well done then MT. Wonder of the Mods or Admin could arrange a 20 Questions with Willie Miller.
  7. Telt ye, Come tae Toronto. None o' this ither stuff would be happening...
  8. Has anyone on this board ever actually met Willie Miller? I'd love to see a Q&A forum with a guy like him.
  9. Found this and thought it was pure class! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=30QlCs64E-0
  10. Don't let the Toronto FC security folk see that. They have everything banned!
  11. Trying to find that bit about why didn't JC play De Visscher... Found this on Sporting Life:
  12. Gotta remember that we always get up for a match V the OF. The lads know they need to get a start. According to the stats from yesterday's game we had the lion's share of play. Just couldn't get the 2nd goal. Though I would have liked the win, I'll take the point.
  13. Thank you for reminding me about last season Bobby Peru. I guess I had higher hopes / expectations this yearindeed we were slow in the first 11 games then as I had said last year we just seemed to add 1 goal a game through the 2nd 11 and closed the deal through the rest of the season. I just hope the lads can figure out how to win in Europe.
  14. Replaced Winter's body not his skill (like there was loads of that)
  15. Can't share your optimism . We're going down like a 2 dollar hooker! JC needs to Wake the f&CK UP and realize that the team needs better results. Cheer up, Drew. It's only the first game of the season. We're nae exactly gonna win every match of the season. There's been a fair number of upsets this weekend in the SPL. Who would've thought Falkirk would score FOUR goals against a Gretna side who had something to prove? Who would've thought Hibs would've beaten Hearts 1-0? Who would've thought reigning champions Celtic would've been held at home to a Kilmarnock side whose main goal threat is completely unsettled? We're nae gonna win every match of the season. How often to we win against Craig Levein's sides? Let's just hope this is the shock our boys needed and that they'll march out and trample all over Hearts and fire six past their reserve keeper next weekend. 2 weekends and only 1 goal - well at lest we looked to have dominated the play according to the stats
  16. Soutar Diamond Hart_______Mair Severin Mackie_________________De Visscher McNamara_____Nicholson Miller___________Lovell
