Thought we were very good for about half an hour. Then got dominated. Which shouldn't have happened. A lot of miovski praise but for me he should've added to the score but bottled the challenge to get in. Solid three points to start but work to be done. Morris at times looked great. Sadly I chose to watch stenny get pumped at Falkirk. (Terrible officiating there today.) Watched the highlights and ester looked sharp. I genuinely think he's a very capable replacement when bojan goes. I also like Ambrose. He offers us something different. I'd like to see us still bring in at least one winger and McGrath and Clarkson can fight for the #10

At least two of those boys were playing against stenny in the bottom tier last season. this might help Jimmy see the rebuild needed.

I mean, I may have championed McCabe for the job a couple of times. They just seem to know their jobs and what to do when they have the ball. Getting it out to the winners and trying to deliver. We seem to trip over it in their half

I would give mcgarry the season. Guy moved across the world and will have taken time to adjust. He has a bit of something and a big bit of naivity. A solid game plan should improve that. I said it in the other thread, I don't think shinnie should be an automatic fixture in the team. People keep saying he's a winner but he was over run at East Kilbride and was involved in some big failures last year as our leader. I can confess that he also had some great games but he should always set the tempo and too often it's found lacking. Jimmy needs to bring in some winners to give the squad a bit of a kick up the ass this year.

If agree with you. What we really failed to do was dominate. Shinnie just doesn't have the presence needed and the last couple of years reflect that. Hopefully the new guy can stamp his authority on games. I thought Morris was ok but we could do with better. Mcgrath ( goal apart ) doesn't strike fear into anybody, I wouldn't worry if he was against us. I think we still need a left winger, right winger and a RB with some pace to get us out from the back.

That was flat. How many of our balls out from the back were blocked? It's slack as fuck. We don't look much better than EK at this point. It's early days but a lot of last season in that half.

Miovski has no hold up play. Harsh to criticise sokler who works his socks off and challenges for every ball. We haven't had a striker that can hold up the ball since Cosgrove left. I think ester will do just fine.

I'd have rather had Nicky Jamieson but hopefully he can do us a turn. The Irish league is no better than our third tier bit we seem to be happy to take their young players on.

I'm not a big McGrath fan. Feel like he vanished when things are tough. ( Could be said about a few this year). I agree about a bit of presence and mobility. Our best displays this year have been without shinnie. Is that coincidence? Will Jimmy drop him to bring in a lynchpin or put trust in Dante?

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Taylor made replacement if Barron goes.

I'd take big Nicky Jamieson at stenny over all of our centre halves. I believe he was meant to go to raith last season before their financial issues. Like a young McLeish. There are players at all stages but a lot of good youngsters. ( Some on loan ) Who would be worth a look. Did city not sign a young guy from Albion after they were relegated last season? No Scottish clubs mentioned.

Good luck to Barron. Good player stifled for too long by Robson. I'd genuinely like to see us look down the leagues for talent. It's cheap and many that I've seen are every bit as capable as the current mediocrity We've brought in.

Never fancied it with roos. Never seen him near a penalty. Then he fucking lies in the goal putting our own man off. Much better performance than expected. Shinnie not missed at all.
