There's not a chance we're going to accept £200k for Logan. I'd be amazed if there's anything to any of the other rumours too. Standard January transfer bullshit.
-
To be honest I didn't get all that in to the black house, read it after the mrs recommended it and it was alright (guessed who done it early on, if not the reason...). I started the second one on the train this week mainly because I didn't have anything else to fill the time, feel like I've got to finish it now although it is shaping up to be better than the previous book. wish I'd planned ahead as I've got the latest Rebus next in the reading pile.

Don't get me wrong, we need a bit of steel in the middle but not convinced Draper is the right player, although I must admit it's based on very limited knowledge of him. It'd be nice if we could sign someone that could also play a bit. Can Draper?...

It's a cracker, think I'd read it within a week of it's release. Enjoy! He's got a stand alone novel due for release this year too, here's hoping it's as good as the Ash Henderson series. Currently reading the Lewis Man by Peter May, it's the second in the series and it's alright... still getting in to it though so could turn out to be really good.

Glad you enjoyed the dominion mate, top place!
-
I'd just seen that and assumed it would be him that's started the thread. It's not hard to throw some clothes on FFS
-
He's great nowadays, especially when he is directing too. The town is a great film, highly recommended by me too Manc

Agree about it being a 3 way thing but genuinely believe it'll be the end of the month before we know for sure. Everything Alex Neill has said points towards them waiting and seeing how their own transfer window goes before deciding. Personally I'd use his wage for a position we actually need and if we can bring him back later in January then even better.
-
Unless the player pushes for it of course... not that I'm in favour of accepting any bids, but it'd be stupid to ignore the fact the player has some say in it.
-
That save at the end was far from straightforward too, came trough a crowd and he did well to spot it and get down early... sign him up.
-
Here's hoping it's not true, suspect it'll become blindingly obvious how much he brings to the team as soon as he's not here. *Edit* had a quick search and doesn't seem to be anything that's not rehashed tweets from previous windows, fingers crossed it's all it is. Might have missed something more solid though, was a very quick search.
-
Doesn't totally rule it out, just that it depends on how their window goes. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/norwich-city-boss-alex-neil-9537865.amp?client=safari

The club has announced Morris has gone. Hopefully frees up a wage for a solid central midfielder. http://www.afc.co.uk/mobile/news/8983.php

As straightforward a win as I can remember against hearts for a while, utterly dominated and really unlucky it was only 1-0. Thought McLean was great in his proper position, his ball through to McGinn to set up the goal was fantastic, performing at that level has to keep Maddison on the bench. (should he return, hopefully he will!) Usually not changing things until late on would be a criticism of McInnes but I thought he did very well to resist changing a team that were completely settled and looked like a breakthrough was a only a matter of time. Now for a strong transfer window to fill that hole in the middle to allow Shinnie to play left back full time. *FingersCrossedSmiley* Oh and Collum's still a useless wank.
-
In my opinion no. Very talented player but a complete luxury. Offers very little that McLean doesn't in that role and would free up a wage for a player we actually need. Don't get me wrong he's a talented lad but he does fuck all defensively and isn't the revelation he's made out to be offensively. If his wage is used wisely then we will be a better team. Saying that if he stays and we strengthen properly then happy days.

Pretty much my first reaction too.

Keep Considine, Jack and McGinn, we'll never progress letting our best players go for nothing... Bin Taylor without giving it a second thought, atrocious footballer. Pawlett could be useful but if he wants to go to get a regular gig elsewhere I'd not lose any sleep.

Is that an interesting stat? How many games does each stat cover? Don't think you can read much in to it if there's no context to it. I'd agree jacks not the traditional captain though, sure there were reasons to have picked him but we've probably got better candidates now... if we can take he captaincy off him without seriously impacting the atmosphere in the dressing room then we should. Lately I've thought Logan would be a good captain, certainly played more of a captains role in the final compared to jack or shinnie. Seems to really wind up opposition players and fans too which is an added bonus

Absolutely our strongest back 4, as mentioned before I understand the temptation to break that up and play shinnie in midfield against stronger teams but we need to get to the stage that we have the personnel to ensure we don't need to break up that back 4.
-
Absolutely critical we get a solid central midfielder (or two). I understand mcinnes feeling he needs shinnie in midfield against certain teams but we need to get to the stage that we have the personnel to ensure there's better options than to play shinnie out of position.

I'd tend to agree with this, especially if Aberdeen becomes the centre for decommissioning too. As far as the government goes, we get a high level overview of oil and gas U.K. Meetings etc every so often and one point that's been raised so far is that the uk government has finally got a stable tax regime in place for the industry, which is doing quite a lot to rebuilt confidence in the industry, I don't believe an independent Scotland could have afforded to do that at this time sadly. Obviously there's more that could be done to offset the effects of the oil slump but at least the government is helping to some extent.

Cheers! Back up in Aberdeen now, the edinburghdon username is a throwback to when I was at uni there years ago. Should really have changed by now!
-
Sorry to hear that, it's a shite situation especially at Christmas but fingers crossed it picks up soon. The subsea construction company I work for is going through a redundancy process for the second year in a row, sounds like I may get caught up in it this year too which is a bit of a concern.. Still a chance I'll escape it but if not it'll be a worry... doesn't seem to be much out there just now. Just as well I've not got a wedding to save for next year or anything

It was shown in the local papers last week, looks good. Much better than the previous proposals.

Positive intentions like aiming for second and being good enough to do that you mean?...
