  2. My fiancées brother and a few mates piped their way around Europe a couple of summers ago in a camper van, sounded like a riot... something I always wished I'd done before graduating. Enjoy!
  3. 6 shots on target = 6 goals Fairly clinical
  4. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/aberdeen-derek-mcinnes-offers/ Hopefully it's not all talk but he does seem to genuinely love working for the club, which is refreshing. Here's hoping Sunday brings us another trophy.
  5. Heading to Sri Lanka on honeymoon then we've got a family wedding in Italy in September so planning on extending that and spending a week there. Should more than make up for not getting away this year!
  6. He had a fairly good record with the US didn't he? Get the feeling things just went a bit stale recently... can't hurt to sound him out even if it's for after this campaign. Changing manager alone will do fuck all though. Change from the top down then bring in a new manager.
  7. First game that's not in the Celtic end for a while
  8. It was frustrating with all the red flags but some of the racing once it did get going was nothing short of sensational... verstapen in particular. Even though my dislike of him grows with every dickhead move he's some talent, you'd need to go a long way back to find such an impressive performance in such poor conditions.

    Andy Murray

That's incredible, although that can be said about his level of performance over the last couple of months in general!
  10. I've been a fan of formula one for years, really hoping Rosberg can win his first title as I've never really taken to Hamilton either. Fingers crossed there's a more even playing field next year, Red Bull seem to have made a step forward this year and really hoping Ferrari can give Vettel a car good enough to challenge as he's an outstanding driver.
  11. Probably because he was one of the only entertaining players we had during that era, completely flattered to deceive but was exciting when he turned it on. Had a sausage named after him in the butchers in Turriff too, no idea if it was any good though!
  12. Aye I guess you're right, I did... only because I'm right though (kidding, for the benefit of the angrier members of the forum ) Here's hoping he plays a blinder in the final and starts to change folks opinions going forward!
  13. It's not really off topic given the context but totally agree everyone's entitled to their opinion, nor am I saying everyone's jumping to lazy conclusions... but there's definitely a section of the fan base that see him having a poor game against Celtic and jump to conclusions that he's not trying due to a love of Celtic, that's all I meant. I wasn't directing that at anyone in particular, just a general observation. Although you've got to admit your post does put it across as fact rather than your opinion. I've seen him play at parkhead and pittodrie myself too and seen him have good games and bad games, more than enough to convince me there's no lack of effort, but if others think differently fair enough they're totally entitled to that. Regardless, I still don't think we should be dropping one of our most talented players for a crucial game though.
  14. Except he does though... this seems to be one of those points that's repeated over and over until it's just accepted as fact, when really it's not at all. He's not always played well against Celtic admittedly but I reckon folk need to stop coming to a lazy conclusion just because he used to play for them.
  15. That's the spirit!
  16. Nothing groundbreaking but the club are holding an exhibition at Pittodrie soon on the new stadium. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-37974730
  17. As much as Strachan is done for me I still can't bring myself to hope we lose, even if I'm almost certain we will. Don't get me wrong, I understand folk feeling like that though!
  18. No figures in any of the reports I've seen... suspect they'll be keen to give the impression he accepted peanuts but at the same time will insist on no further comments in return for a decent wedge of cash.
  19. Barton has officially left the Huns.
  20. A fiery nuclear apocalypse I expect...
  21. I can sense you're really looking forward to the trip now aren't you jute? At least you won't have to walk around London with a penguin for this away game

    Andy Murray

That's provided Djokovic is fit and regains some form, he's looked really out of sorts for months now even if he is struggling with injuries. Murray has significantly less ranking points to defend too which will help, agree it's a really tough draw for him though. Here's hoping he can hold on to top spot, phenomenal achievement getting to number one from a phenomenal athlete. Must be a dead cert for Sports Personality of the Year this year too.
  23. Masterchef the professionals returned tonight, always good viewing
  24. It would be hilarious... can actually imagine him signing for the tims just to irritate the Huns.
  25. Actually the more I think about it the more I think he would be the horrible little bastard we've been crying out for, imagine how much he could bring jack on. He seemed to have matured at Burnley too, can't remember him being the usual disruptive influence there either. Wages expected would make it impossible though.
