Spurs have hibs'd it tonight. To be fair given the numerous spells of complete ill discipline it's hard to feel sorry for them too, couple of nasty challenges & kicks. Dembele is very lucky to be on the pitch after half time. I can imagine he's in for a ban after gouging someone's eyes... To be honest I'm amazed there's not been a red yet, there should have been a couple.
-
can't really argue with that to be honest. It's great that Hayes has been nominated however Griffiths winning is a foregone conclusion.
-
You already know the answer to that...

Tonight could be the night Leicester all but wrapped up the league, Spurs conceding a late equaliser is huge. 7 behind with 3 to play is probably too much of a gap now I'd imagine. Get it up ye Manc

Totally agree, there could be many reasons for him disappearing up the tunnel, to make a big deal out of it just screams of people looking for anything at all to be offended by. (As with mcginn at parkhead ) I do agree that Shinnie should be captain next season though, more suited to it and let's Jack concentrate on his game.

I'd give shankland a season in the first team and some decent opportunities to see how he would get on. He's not been too impressive anytime I saw him featuring for us but his loan may have helped him develop. Similar to a couple other posts I'd say we need more depth rather than ripping the squad apart and starting again, that would be mental. Someone in like McGinn from hibs would be fantastic but like others have said may be unrealistic, finding a similar type of player would be good though. Shame we didn't take a gamble on him before he signed for hibs but hindsight is a wonderful thing. A proper number 1, a top centre half and a wide player that can take the load off McGinn/Hayes and we could make an even stronger push next season... They have to be the right signings though, getting someone in for the sake of it would be completely counter productive.

So, so ignorant

Nothing like twisting others words eh Rocket... If you're referring to me you've gone way off, which doesnt surprise me in the slightest based on your previous posts and all round attitude. I've never said he wasn't very good for us, only pointed out that his repeated mistakes were glossed over and some people have made him out to be better than he actually was. That's not to say he wasnt an improvement on any of his predecessors, he clearly was and that's something I've never denied. I mentioned that as an example of mistakes he consistently made, it was the failure to cut this out after 6 months with us that concerned me. If you cant quite grasp that or fail to see that it's a reasonable comment then fair enough, again I'm not surprised. Although as mentioned above and just to make absolutely sure you grasp this point (as it seems you're having trouble with it)... I've also said repeatedly that he was an improvement on what we've had. That's your opinion, I'd say Kjaer was a more complete keeper but Ward certainly ran him very close. Saying he was the best by miles isn't accurate. I'll take your word for it, didn't see it. Good on him making his debut though. I'm also really glad you're reasoned enough not to write off different opinions to your own as ignorance though. Oh, wait... *DT Needs a facepalm smiley* *cue angry ranty bollocks*

I think thats slightly unfair, there have been games that the players have shown a hunger and desire to win for the full 90 mins, the Celtic game being one. I do agree that they don't do it often enough though, but then again there's not a football team on the planet that play with that level of desire 100% of the time.

Player of the year and Goal of the season.

Some people are just too biased or blinkered to see things how they actually are though. Usually the same people that are overly angry and ranty... If we are to progress we need players like McGinn on form and backed. We certainly don't need players of the standard of Taylor, not if we've got any kind of ambition. -

I know what you mean, it's completely tragic isn't it? -
I can only imagine that the cost to get rid would be such that it would eat into the budget for a replacement and leave us with that little we couldn't actually get a keeper that would improve the team. I fully expect that to be resolved this summer.
-
Every player misses chances, especially at this level. He should score more but it's hardly worth the level of anger... It's not like there's a massive lack of effort on his part. He's one of our best players and it's tragic that he's turned on the minute results don't go our way. Was he caught celebrating? Or was he just seen at a Celtic game with a friend/ex team mate?... I'm almost certain it was the latter and if that is the case it's a total non issue but yet again it's something brought up any time someone wants to have a go at one of our best players. It's tiresome... Do you expect an apology every time we drop points? Do you not think that's a slight over exaggeration after a narrow away loss against a one of the better teams in the league? It was a poor result but it's not really a disastrous upset, losses like last night will happen throughout the season and it doesn't automatically mean we're shite or have no bottle. Agree there, I do think we've got a good core squad but a couple of quality additions in midfield and defence will get us closer to where we want to be, major changes aren't required though just a few of the right signings.
-
The only thing more predictable than the result is the comments from the fans. We got beaten, doesn't mean anyone bottled it, just that we weren't good enough. The fact McGinn is getting stick is laughable, he's got the most assists in the SPL (unless I'm mistaken) and contributed more to this season than just about any player in the squad. He had a reasonably poor night but Jesus cut the boy some slack. Far too many people use the fact he used to play for Celtic as an excuse to criticise him when he has an off night and it's tragic. At the end of the day we aren't and never were good enough to win the league this season. That doesn't mean we can't improve and get closer next year. All this best best/only chance to beat Celtic theory is bollocks... If we concentrate on improving that's all we need to do. Ward has consistently made the same mistake as brown did for the first all season too so to think he could have changed things is optimistic in the extreme. All season he's parried shots back into the strikers and never seemed to learn... But he's gone so it's a pointless argument anyway. That's not to say brown is good enough, he's not. But we should be aiming higher than ward. Task one over the summer has to be sorting the defence, until then (and a new keeper) we won't progress.

He's injured isn't he?...
-
Completely agree with the first point, slightly torn on the last point as I really enjoy the sky coverage, think it's fantastic!
-
I wouldn't be completely against church staying next season as a squad player, provided he keeps his habit of scoring that is.
-
Aye, fighting a losing battle there...
-
Agree with pretty much all of that. Pretty sure Tierney gave the ball away more in the first half than shinnie has done all season... Yet schmichael said at HT he was by far the best player on the pitch, incredible! Seemed to be growing into the game in the second half but I didn't catch the end. Gordon looked good, as did McGinn and Ritchie. Cant believe he didn't get a second. I really don't see the point in playing Greer, Whittaker, Maloney et all... They're not going to be involved long term so why persist with them when we have the chance to try out some younger players?
-
Totally agree, it was worth the hype even though I'm not much of a comic book fan at all, thought it was hilarious. Fingers crossed the planned sequel proves to be just as good.

Rogers & McKenna have signed new deals until the summer of 2018.
-
Agree with pretty much all of that, I'd also like more depth in midfield too but the centrebacks, keeper(s) and a striker should be priority.
-
Aye, fuck them...go for the jugular, we've got a league to win.
