  1. Well it's safe to say that plan is out the window...
  2. Seconds earlier I was genuinely thinking Taylor hadn't looked bad... Then that happened. FFS Taylor. We need to keep Hayes running at Tremarco for the rest of the game, he'll be off before the hours out.
  3. He's looking like a very useful player, long may it continue! Probably time to get him signed up to a longer term deal too.
  4. They were absolutely sensational in the second half, joy to watch. I know what you mean about the penalty but it's not the first time it's been done and I suspect it won't be the last.
  5. Shamelessly stolen from the hat, but the article on McInnes in the times is cracking.
  6. Either that or he's being looked at to see if he's worthy of a short term deal as cover for Logan?
  7. I agree with McKenna getting more game time, we definitely need to start blooding him. It was Frank Ross with the goal though, according to Twitter anyway!
  8. Yeah I must admit I had to read it twice before it sunk in, it really could have been said about quote a few of our defensive performances this year.
  9. Just blame the jetlag Oh it could quite easily have been Mcinnes saying that, after watching the highlights there was some horrendous defending. Individual errors have cost us fairly often this season too.
  10. Isn't that Tommy Wright mentioning individual mistakes costing them?
  11. I didn't think storie started well but my god he fairly grew in stature as the game went on. Barring almost having a nosebleed when he found himself on the edge of their box I thought he was excellent once he got into the game. I hadn't realised just how badly Celtic have been at rescuing games or getting anything when faced with a bit of adversity, which is a hell of a bonus for us. I also didn't realise that in the last 11 games (since our last league loss) we are apparently 4 points better off than Celtic, keep that up and the league is ours... Need to keep the focus but it's definitely achievable.
  12. He's also got to keep the captains armband once jack is back. He absolutely has to. All the officials had a shocker, how we didn't have a penalty (and a strong case for a red card) I'll never understand. I'll never tire of watching Walker post match either, get it right up you, greetin' faced prick.
  13. We definitely grew in to this game and were deserved winners in the end... Albeit against a hilariously poor and gutless Celtic team. Tonight we looked like a proper team and not sure about anyone else but from the second our first went in I didn't see anything but an Aberdeen win.
  14. For some horrible reason I can't shake the feeling the moronic element to our support will spend the match giving Tansey dogs abuse for absolutely no reason. I hope I'm wrong though...
  15. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aberdeen-boss-derek-mcinnes-reveals-7294914#g3wgMA9G2xX2qiZp.97 Seems to be the Aberdeen side to the story.
  16. Spot on. It can't look good to the rest of the Caley squad either, must be a few of them thinking their contracts aren't worth the paper their written on now.
  17. Probably not, I'm sure the full story will come out as to why the move broke down. At the very least it's good to know the players McInnes claims to have been targeting.
  18. You may well be right, guess we may never know but I'm not overly convinced the budget was always there. McInnes made it perfectly clear in the early part of the window that people had to leave to free up wages to get his targets in. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Tansey was one he wanted but needed to shift Quinn etc before finally making the move.
  19. I really don't think we'd have spent £200k on someone who wasn't a main target. In fact I'd say there's no hope in hell we were looking to spend what would be only our second transfer fee in years on a punt.
  20. You could be right but saying that I genuinely don't think the club or McInnes would spend what's a significant sum of money for us on someone who's not going to be a main target. I can understand Caley not wanting to sell to us but IF the talk of a minimum release fee being met and Caley ignoring it claiming ambiguity in the wording then it's not really on is it? Not only that but if it is the case I'd imagine the player would be pretty raging. I guess the truth will come out though. I also don't think the Windows a sign the board have given up on the season, they'd not have tried to spend money if they had given up, I guess somethings things don't work out how you want them to. That's just my opinion though.
  21. It's obviously disappointing not to get Tansey in but I'm not sure you can definitely say its failed target after failed target... fair enough we missed out on Tansey but from the sounds of things that was mainly due to Caley being awkward and using ambiguity in their contract wording to their benefit. Were we seriously linked with moves for major targets in this window? Brannigan was on a pre-contract wasnt he?
  22. https://mobile.twitter.com/JimSpenceSport/status/694319575714926594 Can't be too many deals this refers to...
  23. Seems that was, will be interesting to find out what the problem was...
  24. That's the thing, it's all just rumours just now... It's also been said caley's are claiming the wording of the contract is ambiguous. Guess the truth will come out soon. Until then it's a bit unfair to assume someone from Aberdeens end has made an arse of things. Aye because no other clubs ever complete deals at the end of the window
