I'll take your word for it because I tried searching for said article last night and couldn't find it so I thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt despite the fact the too small excuse has been thrown around about various players over the years and more often than not turns out to be nonsense. But like I said, I'll take your word for it. You're right, that was an unprovoked attack last night and I apologise for that. The rest I'm ignoring though as its laughable... A lot of what you said there can almost exactly be applied to yourself based on the posts I've read though.

The Falkirk fan at work is of the same opinion, I was impressed with what I saw of his performance against rangers but that's not enough to convince me he should be number 1 next season. Bain would be a decent shout, seems to have improved significantly since he was let go by us. I'm hoping for McInnes unearthing a keeper of the standard of ward on a permanent deal though, it'd be a big ask but it's the level we should be aiming for.

But it's so fun! I'll take your word that it was in the Sunday times. Hope you enjoyed the game Not sure where the insult was though...

Do you have anything to back that up? Or are you just havering more shite?...

Oh come on all we needed was a rant about langfield and We would have had a full house in rocket rant bingo Back on topic I'd like to see a solid midfielder and an alternative to Rooney brought in, plus cover on the left provided none of the under 20's are ready to step up. A right back and a keeper in the long term looks to be a must too. So basically what BB and Jute said.

I think you'll find I did... I think you'll find he didn't... I got a little bored and I won't be responding to each point but I will add that your point regarding Milne is irrelevant, as usual. Debates with you always seem to go the same way, which is why I've got no desire to get into this in any great detail. However I disagree that I gave the wrong reason why it FFP doesn't affect us, we could quite easily over spend to the extent that we are breaking the FFP rules, the fact is that we don't though... Because we follow the rules, which are affect all clubs whether you see that or not. -

I merely answered your question on what FFP was, I had intended on being helpful but I'd forgotten that was a lost cause. I'd also disagree that AFC have shown no boardroom ambition, the board lived well out with their means to invest in an on field product in the 90's/00's and it just didn't work, we've also recently been investing in the squad, even paying transfer fees which is unthinkable for a lot of teams in the league. There has been ambition, just no results. And of course I care about the financial management of the club, it doesn't mean I'll constantly rant about it or embark on another tirade about Milne though. -

We've probably got differing opinions on whether borrowing huge amounts of money or consistently living well without your means in order to try and buy success is unfair and I've no desire to debate it with you as it'll just end up the same way it always does. I've no idea if they have broken any rules, but then again I hadn't said they had. I'd look in to it but frankly I don't care all that much, they can spend their way into oblivion for all I care. http://www.uefa.com/community/news/newsid=2064391.html That should give you a summary of FFP, although your point about Milne is irrelevant seeing as it's a fairly new set of rules and from memory we started living within our means quite a while before they were introduced. -

Financial Fair Play. -
I was watching that and he was very impressive indeed. Would need to see more of him before throwing him in as our number 1 but if he performs as he did today consistently them he could be very good!
-
I was just watching the trailer for The Hateful 8 this afternoon, really looking forward to seeing it. I've also heard a lot of great things about Black Mass and hoping to catch that sometime soon too, glad you enjoyed it!

Why would rangers being promoted automatically lead to us being less competitive? Completely defeatist attitude. In years to come I've no doubt they will be challenging at the top of the premiership, but that's not to say it has to be at the expense of other clubs. Also, who's to say that we couldn't negotiate a better tv deal? Leading to more money to share around? Or that they'd get a bigger share of to games leading to more of ours being usual Saturday 3pm kick offs? Leading to potentially bigger crowds if we remain competitive. As I've just said to Manc, the only certainties is that sponsorship and tv deals could be renegotiated. Anything else is down to us and how we perform.
-
Isn't that jumping to conclusions a bit? I don't see anything from Milne that would suggest he's talking about anything other than them both winning promotion fair and square...
-
Oh I totally get it, I just don't agree with the outcry. Unless I'm reading a different set of quotes he doesn't say we need Rangers, he quote rightly states that having the top teams in the Premiership would help bring more money in to the game, which is fair enough. He even makes a point of mentioning Ranger needing to do things the right way. I struggle to see what he could have said that would be any fairer? He's not said we need rangers, or that any moves should be made to make sure rangers are promoted, so whats the issue? It's not great PR, but I imagine it would be hard to avoid answering questions on the topic. I can't help but feel that a lot of fans will only see how the media spin him quotes or the headlines and not really take the time to think about what he's actually said before reacting.
-
What has it got to do with sporting integrity?! Seems like he's just stated his opinion that having hibs and the rangers in the premiership would bring in extra money. What's incorrect about that? What would you rather go see? Aberdeen v Hibs/Rangers? Or Aberdeen v Kilmarnock?

That's the way I'm beginning to see things too to be honest. -
What gets me is he's still so highly thought of despite acting like a bit of a dick when he left!

It will open again, but it'll be a bastard to fix.

It took me 4 1/2 hours but that's because I tried to clever and avoid the Kincardine bridge and went via Stirling... Shouldn't have bothered!

Rumour has it that McLaughlin is being sent back to Liverpool. Can't say I'd be surprised.

I was under the impression that both the French and the Russians had already been bombing various pieces of oil infrastructure, although I may be mistaken. -
He was a fantastic pundit, always enjoyed watching him so it's a shame he'll be leaving. It's a bit of a left field appointment for Valencia though, very unproven as a coach let alone as a manager.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to moan when we're poor, of course we should be criticism when things are poor. The point I was trying to make was the OTT nonsense that went along with the criticism.
