  1. FFS at this rate people won't have anything left to moan about
  2. I'm sure some would dispute that
  3. Quite ironic given the numerous rants about weegies isn't it?
  4. Just think how cheery Id have been if it wasn't my birthday The point I was making (rather sarcastically I'll admit, sorry about that) is that this has been looked at by people fully clued up with both the needs of the club and with the regulations involved in staying and redeveloping the current location, have you considered that the club may have investigated the options you've thought up and found them to be unfeasible? People have pointed out in other threads the difficulties the club face with keeping the current stadium maintained. There was also a widely publicised study done on potential locations for a new stadium. We've missed the boat for staying at pittodrie as soon as the surrounding land was sold off. Do you really think that if there was a suitable site within the city centre area the club would flat out reject it for no good reason? Maybe, just maybe the current plans (as unfavourable the reception it's got from the fans) were the best solution available? Also, it's not like moving stadium is being pushed for by the club so Milne can get his hands on the land pittodrie sits on for next to nothing... As far as paying for the new stadium goes, at least selling the land pittodries on will go a long way towards paying for a new stadium, even if it won't cover the full thing. I don't think anyone would disagree that in an ideal world we would stay at pittodrie, unfortunately it's not an ideal world.
  5. Great, in one post you've done what countless others far more qualified in the field have failed to do and stopped us having to move from pittodrie. Ignoring the current building regulations etc for a moment... Your next challenge is how all this is being paid for without selling off the land the stadium is currently on. Money tree perhaps?
  6. Just as well you don't live in a rural area then isn't it!
  7. Going on what was reported in the papers today, Wilson is in the shite for being caught out in the early hours when he had a game that day. Sounds like he was on his way home when he saw Zaluska getting the shite kicked out of him by paton, tried to calm things down then hung around to help Zaluska get medical attention. Although that was according to the Sun, so fuck knows what happened
  8. That's probably even less likely to happen than your prediction that we'll get a point
  9. This pretty much hits the nail on the head.
  10. I didn't think we were awful at all, moved the ball around really well in spells and seemed to create a lot of chances. very wasteful in front of goal but apart from that there seemed to be positives there.
  11. Grant Hanley has pulled out of the Squad to pace Poland. Seems like it'll be Greer or Reynolds to replace him in the starting line up... has to be Reynolds!
  12. Aye poulter and Gallacher had a nightmare, Gallacher looked really bothered by nerves and poulter didn't look to be firing on all cylinders, don't think he's all that comfortable having to be the safe one in the pairing, but he had to be due to Gallacher being in trouble almost constantly. Speith and reed were good but poulter and Gallacher pretty much handed them it.
  13. I wonder what will come of this then... http://youtu.be/6Jo113LjqB0
  14. It seems the UK's stance on a CU is nothing but a scare tactic to bring about a no vote. Everything I've read on it makes it blindingly obvious that it'd be madness for rUK to say no, there would be huge drawbacks for rUK if its flat out rejected, not least being saddled with the entire UK debt.
  15. Don't think Robertson went anywhere in the end!
  16. FFS I've just pissed myself laughing, thanks!
  17. Manc, Thanks for persuading me it go today. You're a dick. Yours sincerely, Edinburghdon Xx
  18. Agree with the point about it being more of a proper debate, although both sides were scaremongering too much for my liking the debate last night pushed me towards yes... I'm struggling to find one point I can trust from those on the no side last night and Danny Alexander seems like a slimy little prick. At least the yes campaigns point about being better served to make decisions on the future of Scotland seems realistic.
  19. Rules: 1. One name per points tally for the season, first come first served! 2. Allowed to change guess at any point as along as it is to an empty tally 90 89 88 87 86 85 84 83 82 81 80 79 78 77 76 75 74 - BigAl 73 72 - Edinburghdon 71 70 69 68 - Manc 67 66 65 64 63 62 61 60 59 58 57 56 55 54 53 52 51 50 - Nellie The Don 49 48 47 46 45 44 43 42 41 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22 21 20
  20. And... One goal and they will shite themselves. Early goal and we are right in this tie
  21. Fuck them, the spell we had the ball in the 2nd half saw us looking dangerous, start like that on Thursday and it's game on.
  22. It's a shame Langfield gets crucified week in week out
  23. Motherwell lost 3-2 after extra time
  24. Just saw that! Thought my eyes were playing tricks on me for a start!
