  1. Fanstatic result! Never minded Mcardle, hope they get a result in the second leg!
  2. A football agent on Twitter is reporting that we are interested in signing Andrew Shinnie on a pre contract agreement. *edit* The same guy has reported that ourselves and Kilmarnock tried to get Liam Miller on loan until the end of the season, currently playing for Perth glory
  3. Brown was on record as saying he would never even consider signing Riordan when he spoke at one of the road shows last year. Can't imagine O'Connor would be any different.
  4. I don't know about anyone else but I've no interest in seeing Aberdeen spend all that time training up ex players to take over that may still turn out to be shite. Not least because we've just had a disastrous experience with ex players managing the team. All I'm interested in is Browns sucessor being the best person available. In my eyes that'd mean having a proven track record, being able to set his teams up to play attractive football and most importantly win trophies. Don't care who it is, provided he brings the previously mentioned things I'll be delighted.
  5. Were our physios not involved in the Scotland set up for years? I'd have thought that if they were as shite as they're rumoured to be they wouldn't be anywhere near the Scotland set up...
  6. Do i really need to say it again?...
  7. Looks like we've offered Reynolds a 3 year deal after Sheff Wed gave us permission to discuss terms. Rumours on twitter that we're trying to sign a defender, seems the papers are running with it tomorrow.
  8. Just received a couple of texts of a mate that supports motherwell, we've got "an annoyingly effective" team apparently. Seems Hayes played really well too. Delighted we won that, there was a real chance our season could start to slide if we lost today. Its exactly the kind of game we would have rolled over and handed them the win in previous years too. Bring on Hibs.
  9. FFS just as soon as I clicked post it's 2-0
  10. Any clues as to whether its a fellow player or one of the coaching staff?...
  11. One of the huns at work has been going on about this all day. He's convinced its going to happen as apparently they're a "bigger club" which would translate in his head as Fraser playing at a bigger level. Despite the fact he'd be playing division 2 football at best. They really are on a different planet!
  12. Going on twitter a fan ran onto the pitch to confront him too, Joe Hart stopped the fan getting to Ferdinand though. Probably the only save he made all day
  13. Obviously its a massive blow that he's decided to leave but it's got me thinking... for all his attacking intent and beating players for fun, just what has come from it? I know he's not scored but how many goals has he created? Not trying to be negative I genuinely don't know/can't remember just how many goals he's set up. He's obviously a huge talent and one we would be best keeping but it has made me question what end product he has. (I could be totally wrong and he's created every goal we've scored this season, honestly can't remember)
  14. Aye because its purely because its a change to the status quo that I think its a bad idea... All good points but I was thinking of it more along the lines of the astronomical costs involved travelling across an entire continent for games rather than just a country or two. Even if its not going from Moscow to Lisbon as you pointed out I'd still imagine the costs will be prohibitive for most. It's pretty much certain that people will have to rely on air travel to go between games, at the very least long train journeys which drive costs up. Fair enough bigger stadiums mean in theory more fans can go. How many of those grounds will be full for smaller matches though? And how many normal fans will get to go? Uefa are notorious for allocating masses of sponsors tickets, what's to say that will change?... The hotel issue isn't really all that relevant either, If one/two countries host a tournament its much easier to travel between cities due to the shorter distances involved... you wouldn't necessarily have to scramble around for a hotel in "the 6th biggest city in Poland" if there's other cities within easy reach... Obviously they might manage to schedule things so to keep travelling to a minimum but going on track record I'd doubt it'll happen. Seems to me this is one big money making exercise dressed up as "something innovative".
  15. Glad to see they're making things easy for the fans...
  16. It's not been colour coded very well then, one of the strikers is coded as a midfielder
  17. I knew you'd crack!!
  18. Yaaaas last minute McGinn equaliser, sounds like we were the better side most of the game but conceded then had to really go for it!
  19. Some things never change So does the table get updated to show Magennis scored one goal whilst playing up front and one when he wasn't?... Or because he used to play in goals mean he get put down as a goalkeeper regardless of where he was signed to play?... (I'm not getting bored of this yet)
  20. we did, however if you remember I also said I would be ignoring that point. so you shut up
  21. Going on a reasonably fair caley fan I know, the first half was a pretty level affair and the second half caley were by far the better team and could have scored 5 or 6. Bit of a contrast from the Northsound commentary though, I'd imagine the truth lies somewhere in between the two opinions. Disappointing but with the number of injuries we've got the fact we're still in touch at the top is pretty good.
  22. Oh I give up...
  23. Christ knows, could even count for the goalkeepers knowing the farce that is the goalscorers thread...
  24. It is a worryingly young bench but I suppose the youngsters need to start getting involved at some point... Going on the photos of the pitch on twitter its looking pretty poor, hope that doesn't cause any more injuries.
