McGhee challenges Maguire to turn on his Scotland form

Been on the end of one of his crosses then i see? Explains the agenda... -
I was sickened that we seemed to hold our own in the first half but came out after the break and sat in and basically let rangers attack. If McGhee can't see that playing like that is too dangerous with our shambles of a defence then I fear a that wont be the last time we throw away a 2 goal lead.

McGhee challenges Maguire to turn on his Scotland form

What a twat. I thought maguire played well today, took his goal well and looked dangerous when up front. -
That's because you are

Yeah, he is!

I was told last night that the rumours about paton were just that, rumours.

Well what to say about that... Thought we were fairly shocking in the first half, although to be honest i was quite impressed with raith. Thought they knocked it around very well and dominated large parts of the first half. Ifil looked badly at fault for the 2nd, although the rest of the game he wasnt completely useless, which going on my previous opinion of him is actually a compliment. Langfield was also badly at fault for the first, living up to his nickname really flapping at the ball and not collecting. The second half we looked like a much better team, and it may sound silly but it seemed to be when mackie was brought on. fair enough he had a shocking miss from a very good position however he brought so much to the team, we simply looked better once he was on, chasing everything and not giving the raith defence a minutes piece, which was a big change compared to the 1st half! I was very very worried noticing that Hartley had to keep shouting over to the bench telling mcghee how the team should be lined up, at one point he must have spent a good couple of minutes shouting Oi! at mcghee before giving him instructions at which point mcghee turned towards him, held his hands up then sat down. To me thats a pretty big worry, not because hartley was giving instructions and showing some leadership, but that mcghee basically needed a bollocking from his own player in order to make tactical tweaks. Its not something ive noticed before, although admittedly we have missed having a captain like that. I thought Maguire had a cracking 2nd half once he was moved out wide, in complete contrast to his first halfwhere he wasnt hugely effective. Vernon seems t be the type of player that offers very little except goals, although this isnt a criticism as we have lacked a player like that for years! Meggison made some clever runs in the first half, which werent picked up by team mates, although seems wasted out wide. The simple fact is that we need to stop playing strikers on the wing, and centre halfs at full back. We will get found out badly if it keeps up. I thought Jack was fairly impressive when he came on, seems to be able to read the game, pass, tackle etc very well. I was speaking to Neil Simpson after the match in the gothenburg lounge who mentioned that Ryan Jack was streets ahead of Fyvie 2 years ago, only to suffer from an extended period recovering from a broken foot which has set him back, by all accounts he is very highly rated by Simmy atleast who was tipping him for big things! Rather more worryingly he mentioned that Hartley looks to have pulled his hamstring, which could lead to him being out from anywhere between 10 days and 6 weeks, although he mentioned that at hartleys age it could more likely be closer to 6 weeks... Overall I'm delighted with the win, however the manor of the victory, and certain aspects of the team instructions etc are still very poor.

Trying to earn brownie points with anyone in particular by advertising this then mizer?..... -
What in the name of fuck has gone on? Am i imagining this or have we just swapped our only recognised full back, and lets face it one of our stronger players last season, for a rangers reject who has struggled to play let alone score? And not taken anyone else in? I've been very patient with afc over the last few months but this is fucking madness. What is it now, 6 or 7 strikers? Playing 1 up front? And no full backs? Jesus fucking wept. I'm off to follow turriff united... don't agree foster should get dogs abuse either, sounds a bit like he's been told to go rather than asked. Save the abuse for the fuckwit in charge...

He's well and truely tore into him in the EE, confidence boost and a half for the lad!

Not sure if anyone has had the same experience but in the 4 years i had a student season ticket, not once was I asked to produce a student card to prove i was a student, either when i bought the ticket, or used it. Always seemed like it would have been very easy to get a student ticket without being a student.

Don't pay full price, you'd easily pass as a student!

EE: Paton and/or Ifil to go out on loan?
Edinburghdon replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I can only assume that someones been spiking your bovril with vodka, or you don't really know anything about football. He's an 'experienced' degender who cant even seem to do the very basic things every single defender at this level should be able to do. I've no idea how he played against brighton, but any time i've seen him he's looked like an accident waiting to happen. And i include the run of games in which we kept clean sheets in that statement. How he can be a rumoured high earner at the club is beyond me. Not good enough on any sort of consistant level. There's your fact. -
Really enjoyed blind eye! I finished reading Stuart MacBride's newest one "Dark Blood" finished it in less than a week, really good!

I'd appoint diamond or langfield, although if we sign hartley I'd make him captain straight away.
-
I'd be delighted if we managed to sign hartley, obviously hearts can offer more money but didn't hartley fall out with mad vlad when he was at hearts first time round?
