  1. I really cant remember many people complaining about the style of football during calderwood's first season, that was football based almost entirely on grinding out 1-0 wins most weeks. I take it you hated us playing winning football back then didnt you minijc?
  2. 2nd place in the league? Where's your ambition? You'll get the team you deserve!......................
  3. still counting down the days until this ignore function is ready!
  4. http://www.sundayherald.com/sport/shfootball/display.var.2512911.0.mcghee_to_be_named_aberdeen_manager.php Article includes direct quotes from mcghee, hopefully this entire boring saga will draw to a close soon so we can move from managerial gossip to hysterical transfer gossip....
  5. Shame about magilton, he could have been a decent appointment. In my eyes mcghee or levein would be solid appointments although neither would be a major step up from calderwood. And id imagine that the style of football wouldnt change all that much, which seemed to be a reason many gave to give the last management team the boot. saying that though, provided that we appoint someone that isnt jeffries, hughes or williamson ill be reasonably pleased. EDIT: totally forgot about Newell, i'd put him pretty high on my list too, CV seems decent, young ish manager who sets his team out to play decent football and any time ive seen an interview with him ive been reasonably impressed with how he coume across, obviously apart from his rant about female officials!
  6. I think everyone is getting so bogged down in arguing about what counts as Glasgow and what doesn't you've forgotten the main point here. I'm is a sillybilly and we should shout down everything I post! BOO!
  7. I hope to god its not easton, from the limited memories i have of him he was awful, although that could have changed since his dundee united days, i doubt it though!
  8. North Tonight's Norman Macleod?
  9. Maybe he's saying that if we're out of the running after 2 games he will arrange a squad holiday to mexico?
  10. I always thought Walker had the potential to be a very good player for us. I seem to remember him featuring in quite a few Middlesbrough games throughout the season and if they do go down I would expect quite a few of their first team to leave, creating more opportunities for walker to feature, so i really wouldn't think we would have much chance of signing him again. Saying that I really don't think a central midfielder is our priority just now, signing a couple of good quality experienced centre half's is much more important just now.

    Summer

That didn't stop me when writing my thesis, not one bit!
  12. Ahh i can't believe i didnt know it was that simple! i was thinking Rangers could spend more because they had a much much bigger turnover etc... Milne isnt the problem, not currently anyway. He may have contributed to the cause of the problems we're facing, overseeing a huge over spend in the 90's but just now he is the only one carrying the club. In addition to that it seems like he realised we were on a slippery slope early on and started cost cutting, leaving us in a much better state than some other clubs in the SPL. And David Murray isn't the best example to use, Rangers are royally fucked
  13. I'm not exactly 100% happy with the location, however if its the avenue that gives us the best chance of a new stadium then i'll happily live with the out of town location. An inner city stadium seems pretty much impossible, assuming that the feasibility study is correct and a kings links development would be limited. If its done properly and with adequate facilities and transport links then im happy enough!
  14. Obviously in the short term thats shite news. Although if it means we get a fully fit diamond back and raring to go at the start of next season, without the worry in the back of his mind that playing will aggravate a niggling injury then it's probably best he gets the surgery. We'll just have to cope and trust that mair and severin can provide decent cover. Diamond hasn't looked the player he did when he first broke through, maybe playing on with this injury for 18 months like reported in the article has been one of the causes of this.
  15. :lolabove: Noticed that had been posted on the Hat, the outrage in that thread is hilarious!
  16. I really wouldn't like to be the guy that did that........
  17. Part Timer
  18. Fixed that for you I miss jagerbombs
  19. Take that back!! take it back right now!! Alcohol = brilliant not having access to alcohol = rubbish
  20. Ahh is that the reason i haven't ran into you at a game in a while then hebrew?....
  21. Really minijc? You should have just said!
  22. Stoney i think i can answer your questions. 1. Why arent we playing in the scottish cup semi final in a couple of weeks? A. Dunfermline knocked us out of the scottish cup a few weeks back 2. Why are we so far behind hearts? A. Hearts have more points than us. hope this helps, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch. regards, Edinburghdon
