  1. Last two books i read. Enjoyed the motorcycle diaries, wish i had read the book before seeing the film though. Only just finished Porno the other night, really good read and i heard rumours that the movie may be back on
  2. You should have gone along, you could have advised them what they should have been drinking...
  3. How long were you a regular visitor to the home end at parkhead before you decided to stop supporting celtic though??
  4. Kerr for me, thought he was our best player in what was a terrible 1st half, and his performance didnt drop in the 2nd half when the rest of the team finally turned up. Although i must admit that Miller was very good as well. I was also impressed with the two fringe players that came on, thought McDonald played pretty well when he came on and JDV looked like a totally different player than we're used to seeing, always looking for the ball, finding space and good positions. I would start both McDonald and JDV next week! After seeing how the team grew with confidence i sort of understood what the players meant when they spoke about the booing being counter productive, although its a two way street
  5. Are you sure thats the reason mizer? . . . .
  6. I cant believe im going to say this but i agree with adam's post entirely!
  7. 48. He deleted 44, 45 & 46
  8. And stoney, what ever happened to "im never going back to pittodrie while calderwood is in charge"? Thats real passion for you. . . .
  9. So because i spent four years in edinburgh at uni before moving back to aberdeen you automatically know better? Hmm like your thinking there. ill give you the comment about attendances dropping, but unless im mistaken arent they still slightly up on the average for the seasons before calderwood? as far as i can tell we are better off. Higher average league positions generally mean we are doing better no? Face it were more competitive over the course of a season that we were under ebbe or pele. And the results your flagging up like the queen of the south game cant really be compared to regular thrashings against the old firm. Cup upsets happen every season, and i find the regular thrashings far more of an embarrassment than the odd cup upset. But maybe some people like yourself are willing to accept bending over and taking it from the old firm. . . . . .
  10. And more importantly who has said that they believe we are a bad team, and that they were happy with being mediocre? Just because people believe things have improved doesnt mean they dont feel there is more scope for improvement. pull your head out of your arse, all this talk of embarrassments during calderwoods reign whilst point blank refusing to admit that there has been a marked improvement since the days of getting humped 7 - 0 by the old firm and escaping relegation on a technicality, frankly it reeks of you throwing your toys out of your wee stone island pram because not everyone agrees with your opinions.
  11. +1 Just because people consider the state of the team and the club as being better than before calderwood arrived doesn't mean they are content with their lot. We have improved since the days of Ebbe and Pele, of that there is no question, however there is still plent room for more improvement.
  12. Not looking all that bad either, certainly not looked particularily out of place compared to the rest of the scotland players
  13. That's the impression i got as well, the blame can't fall all on langfield though, there was no movement at all
  14. :lolabove: Topcorner texting me to inform me about his bets made my night!

    Andy Murray

Jesus i had to stop paying attention to the bbc live text when murray was a game away from losing the match, must have been some comeback!
  16. Certainly played as a striker, or in the hole behind the strikers for pretty much all of the game last night

    Andy Murray

Getting humped 0-5 in the second
  18. Mainly by moaning about miller not knocking on peoples doors and how his chippy went bust id imagine
  19. BOOOOO!! Sounds very promising, cutting the debt was a bit of a surprise
  20. I wouldnt say any companies are doing well during the recession. Although from what i'm lead to believe some of the major oil companies are operating very comfortably. However i very much doubt any of the major players would be in any way interested in sponsoring Aberdeen in any way shape of form. This whole story sounds like rubbish to me!

    It would be better if you just left . . . . . .
  22. Yay!! Bye then!
  23. Was really close call for me, could have been any from Miller, Aluko, Hodgekiss. Went for Miller in the end, was very impressed with him and his general performance upfront
