Problem with this is that more often than not he is the one not up to expectations. Passing often very slack and gives the ball away a lot. But you're right about him bollocking others (for doing the same thing). I'd still rather have Shinnie as captain. Unless his role is to change to a bit part one.

That was my thought once the feeling of betrayal subsided. A very replaceable player. Now it's up to the club to make that replacement happen and I'm confident that they will.
-
I have never seen anything to back up this unfortunately.
-
I was at that game and never even noticed him.
-
Thoughts to his beneficiaries. 12 years in a nursing home will take a heavy toll on their inheritance!
-
Hibs have been fucking rank all season. Shite manager and clueless board. Polar opposite of us this season. But something tells me that it's not going to be the routine win for us that the teams' forms suggest. JMG.

BBC Gossip column saying that the cost of the new grun is no longer £50m but £80m. I will not name the "source" out of principle but that's Duk's price tag gone up drastically.
-
Then JT will still be this year's love.

The traffic has been a pain in the arse too. Can't wait until we're shite again so we get hame quicker.
-
The last away game I was at (not including away games at Hampden ) was Killie away in the Scottish cup aboot the day before Covid closed the world. It was a good one, admittedly!
-
I'll step aside and let the real fans get their tickets sorted for this one.
-
Got a source for any of that stuff?

Please to be enlightening me. This is news to me. Personally I believe that economics is the last thing you should be thinking about when tackling climate change. Not much point in having a strong economy under water unless we evolve gills post haste. I can't really be arsed explaining the importance of admitting there's a problem to someone who appears to be much more pedantic than they are stupid. Whether there's a solution or not I don't know but there are countless steps that can be taken in the right direction. And the first one is not pretending that it doesn't exist because it doesn't suit your agenda. Or maybe they just can't be arsed. When Covid became too much of an inconvenience they just decided to pretend it didn't exist. After all it was only the weak that were dying. I happen to agree that EVs aren't the answer on their own but again they are a step in the right direction. The carbon footprint of EVs is an overplayed card but the more widespread they become the smaller the carbon footprint of each car will become. Personally I believe the aviation and shipping industry have to take much of the responsibility as well as manufacturing.

OK I'll bite. Who's pretending to have a solution? Pretending that it doesn't exist is abhorrent because it's your kids, grandkids and great grandkids that you're fucking over for short time gain either political or financial. Acknowledging that it exists is the first fucking step to take at least. But now the right won't even do that. The republicans over there make the Tories here seem fucking progressive.
-
It's the Republican head-in-the-sand stance on human accelerated climate change that I find utterly abhorrent (as well as the bat shit crazy stance on guns and abortion related healthcare) that means I would have voted for fucking Mr. Bean before 34 x convicted felon, sex offender and pathological liar Donald J Trump.
-
So they voted in Donald Trump?
-
Next you'll be telling me Ron DeSantis is a fine upstanding politician and a credit to your new home state of Florida and not one of the worst human beings that has ever lived full stop period.

Any chance of a transcription for those of us with failing eyes? -
Just me that thought McGarry looked really decent (going forward at least) when he first came to AFC?

Painful one, this. I could barely bring myself to acknowledge the existence of football, let alone browse a football forum. I gave up as soon as the 3rd went in so I can't really comment on how we played after that. A day to forget all round. Big test for the manager coming up. A defeat was always going to come along sooner or later but to lose by 6 was brutal. JT rallying the troops and getting a win versus Dundee on Saturday is a must.

Winning...for now. The Northeast Optimism Records thread.

JMG Might as well bin him now. He's bound to lose games eventually. -
I think it looks naff. And as someone else has already said the trainers look more Hearts orientated. But since the biggest size they come in is 12 it rules me out anyway even if I did like them. This stuff is marketed at the Stone Island mob surely? They think nothing of spending hunners on clothes so this is probably cheap to them.

Was sad to hear this this morning. Always had time for MBT.

Does he fuck. He shouldn't have fucked it with us then. Better squad, bigger budget and still fucked it. There were some cracking results I know.. but the tactics often left much to be desired. The 2nd Rijeka away tie is one that springs to mind.

Yes, that line because that is the case. The technology can and should be used differently. I just don't buy into that our choices are keeping VAR as it is now (shite) or bin it completely. There's a whole lot of middle ground in between that we should be looking towards. I'm not saying there's a way of getting it perfect. Very difficult when so many decisions are subjective but there is a lot of improvement that can and should be made in the meantime. For example I'm hearing the the handball rule has changed (again) but it sounds like a step in the right direction. Time will tell how that will pan out. Another obvious improvement required is the time that it can take. Personally I don't mind waiting 3 minutes if the right decision is reached. The frustration comes from when an offside call is obvious (one way or the other) and VAR then takes umpteen minutes to check it. That needs to be sorted and I believe it can be, with and without additional tech. At the top of the games we have automated offside decisions I believe which were proving to be a real time saver during the Euros. But having said that I believe these offside decisions can be sped up without the need to invest in even more technology. But for me, speeding things up is near the bottom of the list of priorities. Get the calls right and the time taken matters less. Far too soon to be binning VAR completely IMO my opinion.
