This is a common viewpoint now but I don't understand it. My viewpoint is "stop fucking using it like a bunch of fucking idiots". Why are we hoping it's binned rather than getting it sorted out? There was talk of ex professionals being in the VAR rooms to consult with but I don't see why that's needed. I've not played 11 a side football since I was 12 but I feel I could go in there and do a significantly better job than what we often see. The example being the Livi penalty. It's never a handball in a million years and it's the contact from the Livi player that causes Sokler's contact with the ball. The ref was sent over to the screen but we all know that 99 times out of a 100 the on field ref will cave to the VAR ref but he doesn't have to. It was the wrong decision for me. IMO VAR is a step in the right direction but it's been used horrendously up here and south of the border too at times. When it came in I was worried that it would be used to help the old firm (or the re-incarnations thereof) and we saw that at Pittodrie when they successfully managed to find a fucking non-incident in injury time to get The Rangers a much needed penalty to save Clement's unbeaten start. I'm not a fan of basing decisions on how much or little one team has claimed something but fuck me that was a bad decision. Nothing but a gift. That's the sort of thing that would convince me to bin VAR. So, aye. I'll probably be in agreement by Christmas.

My attitude towards the co-efficient is that it can get fucked. All it does is help the Old Firm line their pockets with mad Champions League money which I don't think does our league any favours. I was quite happy to see St Mirren and Killie doing well in Europe but I can't pretend I care about the co-efficient when I enjoy seeing Celtic and Rangers lose as much as I do. I will never want either of them to win any game ever.

Would have happily seen them both go through. Unlike the Old Firm obviously. Unfortunately these competition are always going to cause problems for clubs with relatively small squads. I don't/didn't begrudge the Killie and St. Mirren fans a wee European jaunt.

The RedTV stream in itself is pretty shite. Much more often than not in the last year or so I've had to watch on our opponent's stream as they tend to be better quality and buffer less. Last night it seemed to be slightly improved but still pretty shite. Then 5 minutes from the end I remembered that it was on Sky whose streams are far less problematic.

TBF fair he was about their 47th choice by all accounts.

I hope he doesn't do a Warnock/McGhee and tell us in his first breath as Aberdeen manager that he's a Rangers/Celtic fan.

Why the fuck should we buy our whole allocation up front or guarantee anything? It's meant to be a neutral venue and it's our top domestic knock out competition. Any club that plays there should be given every opportunity to sell 50% of the available seating. If they don't/can't then give the other club the opportunity to sell them if you must. We all know that everything in this country centres around the green and blue arse cheeks. They're not even having to try and hide it anymore because our own fans are being manipulated into thinking it's OK because our club "refused to guarantee" sales. The people are fucking meek. Seems to be a Scottish thing in this day and age. Bunch of subservient fuds. Get what we deserve. I wish I was going now so I could dramatically change my mind and not go.
